4 out of 5 eggsInstability then stabilized

Pros: Loaded with enough features for me. Worked fine out of the box, did exactly what I expected it to do.

Cons: Within the first six months I owned it, there were some small issues with it hard locking randomly. Since there were no obvious reasons why it was locking up, I didn't feel a lock-up every other week was that big of a deal. Then after about a year, it stopped locking up occasionally... I have no idea why.
Also, the sata controller is slow and performs poorly when doing IO intensive operations.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't have enough bells and whistles anymore, but this initial success with Foxconn has convinced me to give them another go with my new rig.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: booted right up,plenty of sata, and usb ports, onboard sound isn't to shabby, did some overclocking and it was completely stable.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!!

Pros: Clean layout, lots of SATA ports and fan headers. Clearly labled slots and connectors. This was my first complete build, so these really helped smooth the path. *I marked "high understanding" because I have been working in IT for 20 years, mostly in Mainframes and minis*

Cons: The manual was a little lacking in detail for n00bs like me. I was able to figure it out, but I would have liked to have had some more detail. Esp. the front panel audio connectors.

Other Thoughts: As this was my first build I was tempted to go with a Gigabyte or MSI, but after reading the reviews on this board, I felt I didn't have a choice.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable board

Pros: -reliable and stable board
-overall nice layout
-good price point
-good color scheme

Cons: -PCIE slots are close together, may not be good for dual GPU setups

-IDE slot can be difficult to use.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to give people some background info on Foxconn and my experience with their Mobos. First, if you wiki the Foxconn company you will find out they make A LOT of boards from Iphones/pods to Intel brand boards. They are HUGE.

My experience with their Mobos has been nothing but good. We have an older Foxconn mobo that is about 3+ years old and has never had any issues. Recently we purchased 4 of the boards this review is for. Every single one installed without any errors or failures. We have had one running for about 4-5 months and the other 3 are working on over 1-1.5 months.

Let me tell you this board will be reliable. For the price of these boards if you are making a budget Gaming rig or workstation this is a nice choice.

4 out of 5 eggsFoxxcon

Pros: RAID 5 Capable, Crossfire compatible, Can See and Use 16 GB of RAM with 64 Bit System, I use 8 GB of 667 RAM and am able to Overclock my core duo 8400 to 3.6 GHz from 3.0 Stable. RAM goes to 800MHz stable. I am waiting for 800 Mhz RAM to see what that will clock up to. Overall very good board. Newegg Is Still the best !

Cons: Still havent received foxcon mail in rebate.

Other Thoughts: This Particular board is a full size ATX board, I knew that when I bought it. Pay attention to that fact if you dont have the correct size case lying around to hold it. (I are Goofy). I would/Will recommend this board to any one who wants to build a good gaming system. I play Crysis just fine on a windows 7 box with a rating of 4.8 for aero, and 5.7 for business and gaming graphics.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk!

Pros: Good features, if the board wasn't DOA.

Cons: Didn't get to try any of the features. The board only gave me beeps when power was turned on. Checked another power supply, memory and processor and still had the same issue. Didn't try Foxconn. Their page is hard to navigate & no customer service phone number that I see.

Other Thoughts: I have been building computers for 9years now and never had a problem. Should have known better than going with a board that I did not know. I trusted reviews but went against my gut. I figure I am probably out the money I paid for this board and probably figure not to get the rebate which was part of the reason I purchased this board. Live and Learn. Buy boards from manufacturers you know and trust and not ones who give no customer service phone numbers. EVGA, MSI and ASUS. Should have known better. DOH!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but could be better.

Pros: Inexpensive, good layout, easy to install. Good driver support.

Cons: Overclocking. I'm being picky, but die-hard overclockers will be disappointed that you can't adjust the clock multiplier. This means that your stuck with only adjusting CPU frequency. I overclocked my e5200 from 2.5-> 3.8 ghz, which is good, but I could get it to 4.0 ghz at a nice voltage if they included a clock multiplier.

NEXT, and this is the reason this product will get only 4 eggs; the locatrion of the CMOS jumper is terrible. TERRIBLE LOCATION. I have 2 hd 4830 video cards installed, and the jumper is below the heatsink of my video card. Just put it somewhere else! Very frustrating when I was overclocking.

5 out of 5 eggsFoxconn P45A-s was worth the try!

Pros: The motherboard did exactly what it was supposed to do from the start. No trouble at all. You can do an easy mild overclock with the push of a button and one restart. I have a 2660 Mhz processor running at 3041 Mhz with little if any increase in temperature. The instruction manual is quite detailed. This board has a lot of features for the price (after rebate).

Cons: Not much in the way of accessories included. The PCIe slot is located in the second position from the top. I had to remove one of the hard drive tool-less mounting brackets to mount my extremely long graphics card in my raidmax case. If it was in the top slot I would have had enough clearance without removing anything.

Other Thoughts: I built a PC with an ABIT motherboard a while back and it was a major task just to get it to post the first time and the ABIT instruction manual was little help. It was a pleasant surprise after simply plugging everything into the motherboard, the computer booted immediately and I was ready to install the operating system. My ECS motherboard build was nearly as easy but I had to make some minor adjustments in the Bios before proper operation. For my next build with the i7 processor I will certainly consider a FOXCONN motherboard.
