A+
- Pros: Good price for features. Good layout, nice cooling on chipset and mosets. Best M.B. manual i think I have ever seen. They actually explain what some BIOs features are and what they do. So far stable and all good. BIOs looks good, many settings. Can now run Overdrive. 2 4850s should not be a problem for SATA ports. Will try OC when I get better ram and 9850be.
- Cons: none so far
- Other Thoughts: This is my first Foxconn and from the looks of their web site they may actually support their products. I like Biostar boards but they do not support their products. As I said the manual is pretty decent. Have owned Abit, Asus, ECS, Tyan, MSI and Biostar. This one looks like it could be one of the better I have owned. Now for a 9850BE. Have 5200+ now with Asus 4850, OCZ StaelthStream and CM690.
Little things make you wonder
- Pros: Lots of features.
- Cons: Problems getting started, looked at jumper setting and it looked like it was on default. But apparently some boards jumper is backwards, and it was actually on clear. After a couple of RMAs because I thought the boards were DOA, found a short post on FoxConn's support page that mentioned that jumper could be reversed on some boards. So reversed it (which manual warns about not powering board in clear mode) and the board now works...
- Other Thoughts: It would be nice to correct my con in the manual and on the board (instead of making the customer roll the dice). Anyway, board came out $20 more because of 2 maybe uncalled for RMAs, plus now they have the $15 rebate (until end of Oct).

Wrong Specs? Doesn't like Extra USB Slots?
- Pros: Nice Price, good quality board, I like the side facing SATA ports
- Cons: Ordered this because it says it's an AM2/AM2+ Motherboard but it is definately an AM3 Socket (at least the one I got was - my athlon 64 X2 6000+ AM2 cpu did not fit)
It was also DDR3 RAM slots - NOT DDR2.
Takes forever to boot up when I have my internal Card Reader/USB ports plugged in. Sometimes won't boot at all. Card Reader worked fine before.
Great board
- Pros: I like the fact that it can run 2 gpus in crossfire/sli in x16, also the bios is very easy to handle and I never had any problem overclocking my phenom II X4 940 to 3.8ghz. The board fits a lot of big cpu coolers without covering up the ram.
- Cons: none for me, never had an issue with the board
- Other Thoughts: For some strange reason I'm not able to connect a e-sata device using my case's front panel, but it works with the e-sata plug that comes with the mobo. I have cooler master haf 932 maybe it's my case's problem?
this board + Phenom II X4 955 = GARBAGE!!
- Pros: Works good on Athlon 64X2, hold 8gigs of RAM, 790 chipset is nice for overclocking.
- Cons: i rated 2 eggs as apposed to my previous review, this is a GREAT board if your not using a phenom 2. something keeps turning my CPU multiplier down to 4X when it should run at 16X.....this is a headache to say the least, gaming is a night5mare since you don't know when you will get good game play and when you wont. THERE SUPPORT PAGE IS 97% OF THE TIME NOT AVAILABLE!!, so i cant go check for updates. i do have there latest bios version and this did fix the initial fact that the PC wouldn't even boot with a 16X multiplyer.
- Other Thoughts: i will not recomend these board anymore nor will i buy them, there support is enough alone to make me look elsewere. this is my second foxconn board and it works fine unless you want a decent CPU to work on it.
