3 out of 5 eggsCould be better

Pros: Booted right up, simply bios options, 4 ram slots, 4 sata connectors, floppy connector, com1 connector.

Cons: The biggest flaw for me with this board is the placement of the sata connectors, if you use a gaming pci-xpress video board such as an Evga 7950 gx2 which is quite long, it fits right over the sata connectors and using the sata cables that came with the board, will not fit. unless you only use 2 of the ports, the only way to get it to fit is to use an sata cable that has a 90 degree bend with a very low profile connector. which I happened to have.

Other Thoughts: placement of the sata ports should of been placed elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsQuestionable Quality

Pros: Cheap, has 6 USB hubs on rear port, onboard HDMI and some legacy keyboard and mouse ports.

Cons: Unreliable, the first one I bought arrived DOA, had to exchange it. The second one did boot up, but it will only except 2 gbs of ram. I have 2 sets of dual channel, all Patriot DDR2 at 800mhz at 5-5-5-12. Same models, but MB will not boot up with more than 2 gb installed, not 3, not 4, not in any combination, it simply will not boot up bios with more that 2 gb installed, supposedly it supports up to 8 gbs..I've tried many different methods and did some research, no headway with this problem.

Other Thoughts: MB:Foxconn G41M
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2.93ghz (E6500)
Memory: Patriot PDC22G6400ELK DDR2-800 Dual channel (4gb, 4 x 1gb sticks, only 2 usable)
HD: Samsung 3.5 IDE 40gb (IDE to SATA converter)
PSU: Diablotek 400w atx power supply
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

This was my first Foxconn purchase, and probably my last, I'm extremely disappointed with the products. My advice, go with a different board.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible board

Pros: Cheap board, good chipset

Cons: Lots of problems on Day 1. BSoDs installing Win7, BIOS misreporting CPU temp (with newest BIOS revision)
I'd recommend spending a little extra for something that works.

Other Thoughts: I didn't realize how much of a pain the

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad board at all

Pros: Good layout, all components easily accessible, easy to navigate and configure BIOS (except as noted under Cons). Good board for low-cost systems. I chose it for compatibility with on-hand RAM and IDE components.

Cons: The I/O components are not as strong as other boards I have used. For example, the VGA jack bends backward far to easily when connecting a cable. Same with USB and PS2 jacks.

The other issue is confusing power management settings for CPU and system fans. I have a Foxconn G45 series board and an Aaaa board with much easier to understand fan configuration options.

Other Thoughts: Note that Pentium D does not mean Pentium Dual Core. The Pentium D and Pentium 4 CPUs are not electrically compatible with this board or any of the Intel chipsets after the 965/975 series. Installing any pre-Conroe CPU may/will cause motherboard failure. Blame Intel marketing decisions (similar naming) for much of the confusion.

When using double-sided RAM, remember that only two slots can be filled. I had to order additional RAM for this board because I found out too late that two of my four 512s on hand were double-sided.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Go

Pros: Cheap

Cons: First tried Pentium D and couldn't get any video. It would turn on, but no POST. Tried PCIe, and both onboards. Thought maybe it was the CPU so tried a C2D and no go. Had to RMA.

Other Thoughts: Thank you newegg for your awesome customer support.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Install

Pros: Great for a budget build or rebuild... Use as a replacement or upgrade from a gigabyte board (It got fired during a thunder storm).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you understand the board specs concerning memory slots. Remember 4 single sided or 2 double sided at any given time.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk.

Pros: Pretty colors. All the slots actually accepted the correct parts.

Cons: Piece of garbage. Wont post 1/2 times.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother trying to save yourself 20 bucks by buying this junk. If they can't keep the QC up high enough to not ship out mobos that wont post it's certainly not going to last you long even if it does. Go for the intel for an extra 20 dollars and know that you're getting adequate hardware.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Cheap

Cons: DOA. Powers up, but will not post. Tested with pentium 4, pentium D, and Pentium Dual Core. Will not start with any of my multitudes of ram. Can not get ahold of Foxconn Support at all.

Other Thoughts: Maybe It requires core duo or core 2 duo? It definitely says on the comaptability list that it supports Pentium Dual Core.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Not hard to install -- Love the One Click Driver install! So far no Problems.

Cons: Had to go in and set the Speakers to Default to get any sound off the board. Sound Driver automatically selected S/PDIF Out (Coaxial) for Default sound even though nothing had ever been plugged into it.

Other Thoughts: Not a Bad board for the price

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Was a very close match to a HP unit I had to repair for a customer. Everything worked great.

Cons: I thought the metal backing plate was real cheap. Also these are made in China.

Other Thoughts: I did not use the onboard graphics. The bios are ok. For me, I would buy another if I needed to.
