5 out of 5 eggsStill Working Wonderfully after Months

Pros: A wonderful board! Easy BIOS, Worked out of the box, Didn't have to adjust any settings whatsoever. I built the computer that the board is in I'd like to say about six months ago and It's held up extremely well. No problems!

Cons: Nothing, honestly.

Other Thoughts: Others are complaining about loud Northbridge fans, but I can't honestly tell. I've got a large fan on the side of my case blowing air out rapidly and It amounts to an even larger amount of noise, I'm sure, so I can't hear the tiny little fan inside.

2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo - 9600 GT - 4 GB

Everything is very easily overclockable on this board as well. If you buy it, you will not regret spending the money!

4 out of 5 eggsAll is well after 8 months

Pros: Easily overclocked processor by 500 mhz, with system remaining stable now for 8 months. Adjusted BIOS settings for software RAID 0 array and is working without a hitch. Be sure to upgrade the BIOS to the latest release before doing any of this. You can find it on EVGA's website.

Cons: Only 4 stars because of the LOUD NORTHBRIDGE FAN! Even with the fan adjusted to 50% power via the NVIDIA Control Panel, it sill makes a considerable amount of noise. If you care about fan noise, then do not get this MOBO.

Other Thoughts: It would have been nice to see a more extensive passive heatsink applied to the north/south bridges for better cooling, therefore making the fan unnecessary.

4 out of 5 eggsNice board, LOUD fan

Pros: It worked great right of the box. This board replaced the buggy ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus board I was using (3 RMAs..ug!). It was stable for me right out of the box. I'll post another review after I've used the board for awhile.

Cons: 4 starts because of the terribly loud northbridge fan (even at the minimum setting of 50%). I'm going to have to spend some money on an aftermarket replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't Even Work

Pros: Nothing

Cons: This mother doesn't even work. I had a certified computer technician look at it, and it don't work. I've changed all the parts to see if that will make it work, I also bought the same motherboard again to make sure the current one I have wasn't damaged. It still didn't work.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MOBO!

Pros: Great Board! I've had this for a year and still no issues. Overclocked a Duo from 2.33 to 2.8 and its super stable and runs cool in my rig. No SLI issues or bugs. Easy install and post. GREAT BIOS FOR O/C's.

Cons: I hear it does not O/C Quads as well as it O/C's duos. Have not confirmed myself.

Other Thoughts: Core2Duo 8300 @ 2.8ghz, OCZ DDR2800 @ 800Mhz, 8800GTS 640MB SLI, Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum, Aerocool 600w PSU, 300w SLI PSU, Antec Three Hundred Case

4 out of 5 eggsGood motherboard

Pros: I like the placement of the SATA plugins. Works great with SLI. I like the little screen even though I don't know what everything means..I have got no problems with it for now. It's great for overclocking too.

Cons: The chipset fan is noisy if you have a liquid cooled computer, so it kinda ruins the silence...They say you don't need it for a well ventilated computer though.

Other Thoughts: I like the blue light to say it is being powered, goes well with my blue tubings/liquid and even makes it glow. The card looks good too.

5 out of 5 eggsan excellent buy

Pros: Great price for mid-range gaming power! Works great with the parts I spec'ed out for it. Slightly OC'ed, handles all my moderate gaming needs.

Cons: Because I spent months carefully matching my RAM, CPU, and vid card purchases to this board, I can't tell anyone about cross-spec stability.

Also, I had to fight with the MoBo BIOS to update it right out of the box, before I could load WinXP.

Other Thoughts: I've had this board and parts for exactly a year now. WinXP SP2/3, lots of gaming, never crashed once.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board for the Money

Pros: Easy Installation. Multiple OC options. Included Chipset fan.

Cons: Slightly dated.
Intel Pushpin fan + heatsink installation for CPU cooler. This style is a pain in the neck to install. See Comments Below

Other Thoughts: I recommend installing any fan/heatsink before installing the motherboard into the case. If you rely on the standoffs to take the pressure required to install using pushpins you might bend your board a little bit.

4 out of 5 eggsMisleading Specs

Pros: Nice looking board. plenty of USB and SATA connections

Cons: Forst off look at the posted specs....
8gb Max memory!!
tarted off with 2x2GB 1033 DDR3 modules. What a friggin nightmare, lockups and crashes plagued me for a few days.

After re-reading the manual, imagine my surprise to read that each Memory slot can only Handle a 1Gb module.

I purchased two 1GB 1033 modules, and it runs like a champ.

I'm not sure how a board can spec out at 8GB max memory wehn you have 4 slots that accept up t0 1GB modules. Sounds to me like a 4GB max !!

I purchased this board with the intention of maxing out the RAM. SATA 1 & 2 connectors run parallel to the motherboard and the connectors on the board have a tendency to bend away from the board. I had to Super Glu the connector that houses the SATA 1 and 2. The Sata 3-6 connectors are mounted traditionally on the board, and have no such issues.

also, the chipset runs very hot, even with the optional fan

Other Thoughts: So I end up sitting on $250.00 worth of memory, I can only hope that a future bios upgrade will give me the ability to use the board as it is advertised.
