3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I really loved the customer support of both evga and newegg. (see below) 2 PCI x16 slots that run at full x16 speed even in SLI mode. The memory type that it uses is very cheap, DDR 800MHz is very cheap and it also supports DDR 667MHz. I believe that this would have been the excellent motherboard if it didn't fry.

Cons: Very cramped with a high end gpu (8800GTS). I cant imagine how anybody could even think of fitting two in there. I had some trouble fitting my Q6700's heatsink and fan on the board. 3 of the screw pin things would go in and the last one would get stuck. After about ten minutes of fiddling with that I finally got it secured. But besides that this was the perfect board.

Other Thoughts: It fried the second I connected the power supply. This is partly my fault. I didn't try to test the mobo by connecting only the critical parts (one stick of ram, etc.) I'm not sure if this is the mobo's fault or the power supply's fault but I've read a lot of the motherboard's reviews and this seems to be a problem attributed to the mobo. when I RMA'd the board i received an email saying that this board was no longer in stock. Now I have to reorder either this board or another nforce 680i from a different vendor. Have to knock off a couple of eggs for that.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great support, Worked without issues unlike ASUS "very picky about what ram will work". Great Bios features, lots of SATA.

Cons: Chipset fans are terrible. Its not that they are loud "which they are" it makes this sound. Not the kind of sound thats just loud but the kind of sound that makes you want to kill yourself. Had to immediately replace SB fan, NB seemed ok.

Other Thoughts: System temp is 37, CPU at 29, GPU at 60. 8800gts, quad core, plenty of fans and TT V1. Seems kind of hot for the mb. Also SB is right next to the sli slot so you cant replace the heatsink with a good one.

5 out of 5 eggsIt awesome

Pros: It's great, what more can I say?

Cons: one of the motherboard fans is blowing right at my 8800 ultra but it isn't much of a con

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Extremely fast, very good onboard sound, detailed bios, easy setup. Very stable. I hugely reccomend it.

People have been complaining about the chipset fan, but I can't hear it. It's probably because of my p182 se case. And you CAN adjust the speed of the chipset fans, mine is set to 60% and is at 40c under load.

This board runs excellent with a q6600.

Cons: The header pins are not labeled in the manual as to the + and - of the reset and hd. This isnt really a con as header pins are a problem that plague all mobos.

Other Thoughts: I was going to get the xfx 680i lt, but it dissapeared from Newegg the day before i was going to purchase it. It has suddenly reappeared with no explanation. It doesn't matter, I'm more than happy with Evga's.

3 out of 5 eggsNot quite everything I expected

Pros: I can't really differentiate much between boards, this one's good enough for my components

Cons: I'm not quite whether it was the mobo or the processor, but out of 3 duplicate orders, 1 mobo/proc combo didn't work. Swapped components from the other two around, and couldn't pin down what it was, so sent both back for a refund. No problems with the refund or the refunded products. The original problem was that the monitor was receiving no signal. Also doesn't support AC'97 sound ports, so my front case ports have no use (they can't do HD sound ie azalia)

Other Thoughts: I use it with my 8800 GTS 320mb, 680i LT mobo, and 2gb G.skill ram and corsair's 520W power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat & Easy Board

Pros: Documentation was complete and easy to understand, fired up first try with no issues, nice features to include the extra usb ports, plenty of expansion possibilities

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: ordered on Thurs received Friday did a complete build in 2.5 hours and was ready to go. Only my 2nd complete build but I am very impressed how smooth it went.

5 out of 5 eggsHard to get a good board, but when you do, its simply AWESOME!!!

Pros: -Absolutely fantastic board, I was able to take my Q6600 to 3.7ghz stable on air (but now running 3.6ghz for heat and voltage reasons).

- The board has a nifty feature that allows you to save voltage and timings in 3 profile slots and load them at your leisure, I thought this was cool.

-LIFETIME replacement warrenty... you can call em up 10 years later and get a brand new board for free... pluss they cross ship, meaning you can ship your broken board back to them AFTER you get your new board from them! If not for this feature I would have went insane as I had to RMA two boards to get a good one, third time's a charm!

Cons: - The on-board RAID controller is a fake RAID and dosen't run as fast as if you had a real RAID card.

- HORRENDOUS VDROOP! at one point I had set the voltage to 1.575 in bios and the actual voltage running through the board was 1.488. Luckily there is a simple pencil mod that takes 10 seconds to do with a number 2 pencil to fix this.

I had to RMA two boards to get a good one... first board had random crashes and bluescreens even running at stock speeds... Second board was awesome except for the fact that it wouldnt power back on when powered off... and would only power back on randomly...

Other Thoughts: I would have rated this board a 4 or 3 if not for the EXCELLENT evga customer support... 9 out of 10 times I was able to talk with a living breathing human being within 10 seconds of selecting the right automated menu buttons.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Worked right out of the box, great for OCing. Good SATA placement and PCIe. Also works great in SLI.

Cons: Wires are slightly congested near IDE cable area, but it's not a problem.

Other Thoughts: I dont have thoughts.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: This board has everything you need to OC.

Cons: North bridge and South bridge fans seem a bit weak.

Other Thoughts: Ordered AC Freezer 7 Pro for the CPU and 2 Swiftech MCX159-CU for the North and South bridge. I had to do a little work on the fan on the northbridge to fit it and the Freezer 7 Pro, but it was worth it. OC'd system runs 2 degrees cooler than stock with all auto in the bios.
