1 out of 5 eggsLast EVGA product I buy.

Pros: USA prompt phone support.

Cons: I have two computers that I built using EVGA motherboards. Both of them have serious limitations compared to other boards. My biggest problem with them is the lack of multiple USB headers (there's only one!), and the USB that comes on the board is very unreliable. There are major issues with their power distribution. I've tested multiple power supplies (seriously expensive ones, too) and the problems exist on BOTH of my systems -- this is not an isolated issue. EVGA has no solutions for any of these issues and insist they are not normal -- but I've had enough. They just aren't reliable enough and have caused me enough problems.

Other Thoughts: Even though both boards continue to function, I'm planning to replace them given the unreliable performance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: Sata III, Tri SLI, Nice accessories. Glad it came with 2-way, and 3-way SLI Bridge.

Cons: Wish it had updated BIOS. UEFI or 3D BIOS

Pros: It works, decent board for the most part.

Cons: VT-x doesnt seem possible to use. One of the main reasons I bought it, along with 24gig ram, to use as a vmware workstation. Updated BIOS, still no options. VERY disappointing I spent so much money on this rig and it comes down to a feature lacking board that makes this useless.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: I have went through 3 of these boards. The first one died a few days after i purchased it. So i RMA'd it. Got a new one then a month later i upgraded my ram and found out one of the DIMM slots was bad. So im on my 3rd board, and even after multiple RMA's im still happy with it.

Cons: Could have better reliability

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great motherboard, I have it currently maxed out with memory. Haven't had one issue yet.

Cons: No digital Optical, bought it thinking it had it but that is not the boards fault so no eggs lost.

3 out of 5 eggsCheck your processor's socket size!

Pros: Very sturdy, high quality board.

Cons: Socket size is odd, making it unusable with the processor I bought.

Other Thoughts: I bought this motherboard and fully installed it into my case before I realized that it has kind of an odd processor-socket size that requires the purchase of either older or extremely nice, expensive processors (in the $600-$1200 range). That said, I was extremely impressed with the hardware itself, and the quality of the materials/manual that came with it.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

All X58 chipsets require a 1366 processor. For a full list of supported processors in our X58 please refer to think link: http://www.evga.com/support/motherboard/

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: For me it did everything right. EVGA support is fantastic, so if anything had gone wrong I'm sure they would have handled it.

It overclocks my i7 and RAM very effectively.

Cons: Sometimes I've had to manually set the memory timings. It didn't cause me any problems, but it wasn't using the faster timings my RAM was capable of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat X58 replacement MB choice

Pros: Solid PCB, much better than HP OEM board it replaced. Rational fan pin placements. PCIe x1 in useable positions as well.

Posted on first boot. And retaining the X58 chipset allowed Windows 7 64bit on SATA III SSD to come up initially on Intel Sata II slots. Flashed Marvel 9123 firmware and bios (v1701 ISO), and installed drivers and was able to move SSD over to SATA III port. Performing well but not fully up to speed.

Cons: Samsung 830 SATA III SSD on Marvel 9123 ports is running only marginally faster than on ICH10 Sata II ports. Waiting for EVGA to release latest 2.2.0.1125 firmware and bios flash as ISO.

But I knew going in I would not have full SATA III speed, so no real disappointments.

Other Thoughts: Very simple to overclock from BIOS. But EVGA E-Leet Windows applet based on CPU-Z SDK is convenient if just to check in on the system.

Simple and painless MB swap. What I wanted--and I qualified for EVGA $30 rebate :)

1 out of 5 eggsResponse

Pros: ??????My apologies this is a typo, as what I had meant to say was 2 SSD's.

Cons: Sata III does not work any faster than the Sata II ports. The whole reason I bought this board was to compliment my 2 SSD's. I had to put them in raid 0 to get 450 reads. I should be getting over a 1gig reads in raid 0.

Other Thoughts: Not sure how that could be your response, knowing that it is a issue with this board.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

The Marvell sata 3 controller should offer higher performance than the sata 2 ports based on the bandwidth. If you are having issues with the controller please contact me directly so I can work with you on this, Matth@evga.com
