does this board support windows 8?

To whom it may concern: Anthony I tried Windows 8 and could not get it to do the same thing twice. Will you be using touch screen is a good question. I'm old so I will never care for 8. I stick with Windows 7 64 bit. Stock up on Windows 7 I say you never know when it may become scarce. I have not assembled my Stinger yet. Don't buy anything unless it's the best thing going at the time. I mean don't waste money on 660 when you want 780 or even 1200. Save your money because you will not be happy with just being adequate. You help the sales by getting what you can but in gaming your adversaries score 100 while you might score 38. Unless you like that. Maybe the Dark would better serve you. But now you have to return the Stinger or sell it for a loss. You are charged for a RMA ticket. You are charged at the UPS store to ship back. They send it back across country by truck, takes forever both ways. Let the tech sales eat everything on the shelves only buy the top stuff because they can monitor you purchasing habits. They know what you are in line to get next. Also try to choose a product line like MSI, Coursair, or EVGA. Get as much as you can from one manufacturer, because they all do not play well with each other.

Is this card able to fit both a graphics card (which takes up the PCI) as well as a wireless adapter?. I need Wifi and am considering this motherboard

Yes. There is a separate Mini PCI slot in the lower left corner. I bought the Intel 7260HMW NB IEEE 802.11 Dual Band N600 Mini PCI Express Wi-Fi Adapter, 2.4GHz 300Mbps/5GHz 300Mbps from here on Newegg to use. The box it comes in, has a tiny little bag glued to the lid on the inside with a tiny little screw in it. That screw is for the Mini PCI slot. So when you plug that in, the screw fits in that hole to secure the device in place. Make sure you put that on first before anything as it is hard to get to otherwise.

Is the Z87 Stinger as lousy as the Z77 stinger?

I'm having no issues with it. The BIOS works perfect. Overclocking has no issues.

I have a 4770k at a mild overclock of 4.2GHz, completely stable. And also a ATI 7970.  Very small case so i'm just RAIDing 2 Samsung 250GB SSDs.  I came from a EVGA Z77 board, not the stinger, but the improvements across the board make the board worth it.

Pros:  Just as good as a ATX board for gaming systems.
UEFI (BIOS) Looks and works easy as can be, tons of options
Plenty of USB 3 ports 
Plenty of Fan connectors

Cons: The front panel audio and front panel USB2 ports are under the mosfet heatsink, it's really hard to get a nicely cable managed build out of that.  I use the Hadron Hydro and just decided to opt out of using front panel Audio.  Not a big deal, problem is once you put that cover plate that goes over the rear I/O ports, you'd have to take apart the system to get at those.

I got this board because it's overkill, but not OVERKILL.  The Asus board looks amazing, but really what are you going to do with all that extra power? These little boards aren't going to be nitrogen cooled or used at competitions.  That daughter board would block my top fans a bit.  It bugged me.  This is the perfect medium.

Has anyone installed Windows 10 successfully on this motherboard?
I tried but Ethernet port was not working, maybe a drivers issue?

Same. You have to download the install from Intel and save it externally. Then once you install W10, install the setup and it will work.

anyone use this for gaming and/or happen to play Tera?

i just upgraded to a 660 performance edition since i don't have tons of money to blow

i am a big fan of SLI but sadly obviously can't with this board

Runs great with ddr3 and a dedicated graphics card... really more of a performance desktop browsing computer than anything, but it will run for intense games well for short/medium stents.

Question 9

Does this MB have 4 pin fan connectors or 3 pin, and if it has 4 pin, how many? I've been looking at the asus pro because it has 3x4pin fan connectors. The specs on this one don't seem to indicate at all which probably means bad news, but I'm hoping not.
