Pros: I got it for $104 form evga's website. This thing is chock full of features dual ethernet ports, quad sli/crossfire support, pci disable switch, triple bios, and the right angle plugs. If your looking for a cheap motherboard that's a beast pick this one up, that is if you don't mind dealing with some of the quarks.

Cons: Well it's quite picky. When I got this mobo it was giving me some problems all kinds of weird post codes. Updating the bios fixed everything with the boot problems. It's been running flawlessly for about 1 month, heavy usage 12+ hours a day.

Other Thoughts: TLDR Great mobo, great price (on evga's website),great features,great gpu support. And it supports the i7-4790k.

2 out of 5 eggsBuy EVGA's graphics cards but stay away from their motherboards

Pros: If Specs, appearance and Customer/Tech support proved a great product by themselves this would qualify. But, the product has to perform up to the stated specs, that said this Z87 Classified m.b. failed miserably.

Cons: Extremely poor quality control from EVGA. Motherboard came with built in defects. Same with RMA'd replacement Board. Similar defects but a complete waste of building time, waiting for replacement board, building again, only to find out unfunctional.

Other Thoughts: When I went to build my new rig, replacing my old I7 930 I wanted it to be an EVGA build so I started with Z87 Classified, the top of the line board, EVGA GTX780SC and EVGA 1200 P2 SuperNova Platinum p.s..

The rest, I7 4770k, Corsair H100I cpu cooler, Gigabyte GTX 780SC, Crucial, 16 gigs 1866 Ram, Samsung 850 Pro 256gig SSD, 2 x Intel 730 480 gig SSDs and a couple of 1 tb WD HDDs.

Well, After first building the rig the Z87 failed to recognize the 2nd GTX 780, failed to recognize 2 of the drives, and one of the USB ports failed to recognize my Razor Orbweaver keypad.

Several calls with Tech Support determined the m.b. had to be rma'd. So, a week later received the replacement board, not good, was a used board with a couple of bent pins and chips in red paint. Again, built the entire rig and the only graphic slot (PCIE) that worked was the first slot. So, phone calls to Tech Support, then troubleshoot for several slots and card combinations to determine that it wasn't the cards.....guess what? This board also did not work properly and Tech Support recommended RMA replacement again and said that it was probably damaged during shipping. There is no way, they pack their products superbly.

Luckily I had another Z87 that is the AsRock Extreme 4. I opted not to use it because I wanted the rig to be primarily EVGA. So, this is disassembled the entire rig again, built it all back up with the AsRock and......Walla! Everything worked perfectly right off the bat.

I spoke to Tech Support again today and have decided that I am just going to take the loss of money and time, and effort that I wasted on their Mother Board. They could only offer another RMA replacement and said I could sell it on the used market. I would never do that. How could anyone in good conscience even think about selling a product that they have had terrible experience with to another person?

I don't even want their RMA replacement. It's just a complete loss from the get go with the money invested on their top of the line board, then the hours spent building and taking apart 3 systems.

I didn't even mention that I also had to RMA the 1200 P2 Supernova Platinum power supply. So, a lot of down time waiting for replacements and a lot of wasted time period.

This last time, this morning, Kevin from Tech Support put me on hold for a long time checking with the higher ups to see what they could do to appease me and try to make amends only to come back and say the board I sent in didn't have any problems. Really? Like I enjoy putting myself through all this over the course of a month just because? Why then did the build work perfectly first time with the AsRock Z87?

Just stay away from EVGA motherboards. They do have great Tech
Support and warranty support.

Between builds I was in contact with several guys from OverClockers.net and they basically said that EVGA has had problems with their mother boards for a long time.

Well, now I know. This was my experience.

5 out of 5 eggsHad me scared, but happy now

Pros: There aren't any cons! Everything was logically placed, and the EVGA bios is pretty cool-looking. Also comes with easy-to-use software for overclocking.

Cons: Had some issues with my first few tries at getting the operating system installed. The machine would boot from a cold boot fine, but wouldn't do a software restart. The LED gave an error code "FF", which according to the manual is "reserved for future use". Gee, helpful.

The solution was a bios upgrade. The motherboard doesn't come out-of-box compatible with the 4790k that I purchased.

Pros: 2-3-4 way SLI, DDR3 2666+, Bluetooth V2.1, Dual Ethernet ports,Sound Blaster audio, 6 Native 3.0 ports and 6 2.0 Ports, Great board layout and evga quality you cant go wrong with this MB.

Cons: Needs Bio update to work properly, it was a little bit tuff as it is a windows enabled update and unit would not start up. Contacted tech support and they walked me though it and in about half a hour it was up and running.

Other Thoughts: using this with 4790k and it works perfect, love the look and performance with evga expert tech department looking forward to bench marking again.

Note, I think most people that have had problems have given up too quickly as help is always there at evga tech department. this was my third build using evga MB and still believe they are some of the best equipment on the market today.

Pros: Excellent MB works perfect that I buy a second Z87 for my son birthday he did need a upgrade got it from Evga store they had a cyber Monday sale.This MB works perfect as my first purchase Z87 classified from Newegg.I read bad reviews about this MB and what I can tell you is that 95% of all reports of problems are actually user ignorance.

Pros: Lots of accessories, good onboard Creative sound. dual 16x SLI possibility. Dual LAN outputs.

Cons: First issue the bios wouldn't read the DIMM 1 slot, cycled through all my RAM just to make sure. Took several tries, before I finally got it to read it, Once that issue was resolved it wouldn't see my secondary video card. It did see both cards once, but when I did a restart the secondary card wasn't seen again. Cycled three PSUs to see if that was a power issue. Still no joy, so I loaded my old Z87 FTW board back in and everything fired up with no issues. Ordered the RMA, I will revisit this review after that has been seen to.

Pros: none

Cons: 5 weeks after painful RMA, the USB 3.0 ports on rear IO panel broken again. It was working before shutdown last night. All external USB3.0 HDDs connected to rear USB 3.0 ports are gone this morning. Same HDDs work fine on rear USB 2.0 ports.

Other Thoughts: With all the money and time spent on RMA, I could buy a decent brand new MB from others tier 1 manufactures. I won't waste time and money on any EVGA products anymore.

Pros: Bought an EVGA motherboard on clearance at $49. worked well 1.5 years until it broke.

Cons: Got first replacement 2 weeks after RMA. Installed original i5-2400s and got C error code. System boot failed, Contacted customer again and entered advanced RMA. I had to submit original receipt and credit card info. I was told no need to send the broken board back. called them twice and finally received my second board 2 weeks later. This time everything was fine. Got an email a month later that I had to ship first replacement back. After EVGA received the first replacement MB, I got a notice that the CPU socket pins were damaged and a $70 charge will apply to my credit card. I called 6 times, left 3 messages and also replied email to EVGA. I finally got call back. I tried to explain that the socket damage on first replacement MB is the reason of failure but EVGA didn't believe it. But they could reduce the cost to $45. Include the time( more than a month) and shipping cost, the total cost of RMA is way more than original purchase price. What a joke. If I knew this earlier, I would throw it away at first place.

Other Thoughts: I built more than 100 computers in passed 5 years. Worked with multiple manufactures for RMA. This is worst experience I had.

Pros: Lots of features, Bluetooth.

Cons: Support is lacking, have contacted EVGA time and time again, not able to resolve USB issues with drivers, BSOD at times even after fresh win install, 20+ e-mails to EVGA and 2 RMA's and no resolution.

Other Thoughts: Used to love EVGA, can't seem to get a good board from them these days, hard to tell if I'm always getting bad RMA's or the MOBO is just bad design/Software.
