Can this fit 2 gtx 970 side by side for sli?

Yes, I used two of the EVGA GTX 970 SC cards and they fit really well. The only issue is that they block the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 headers at the bottom of the motherboard, so if you were hoping to use the front USB ports on your system chassis, you won't be able to do so; I honestly don't mind it, as there are plenty available on the motherboard itself at the back of the case. P.s. I used the Corsair AIR 240 case and cooled the CPU with a Corsair H100i; in this configuration the GPU's and CPU seem to have more than enough cooling.

Question 2

Is it possible to use the M.2 slot to connect a wifi card? Really interested to know if I can get wireless internet without using a usb  port with a 2-way SLI setup.

really late on this.. I have a SLI setup on this board and was planing on installing a Bluetooth (M.2) module but realize major heat reports from similar builds for the module itself which will lead to short life for module and gpu's, also not recommended for boot drive solution due to heat as well. I'll just go with a riser for the third lane just to ensure space (cooling) from the second card. Keep in mind this chip set is pretty professional like an AMG Mercedes Black series.

I have a 4930K, and the mobo says the socket type is LGA 2011-v3, will this work with my LGA 2011 processor? Or is there a fundamental difference between the sockets?

2011 v3 is the only chip that will work with this board, if you look there are only 3 out at a cost of 300, 500 and 1000.   My personal recommendation is the 300ish model as 200 more only gets you a few extra pci lanes and an additional .3 ghz

Yes, this motherboard uses the X99 chipset and 2011-v3 socket, which is required for the i7-5820k. The GTX 970 is also compatible with the motherboard because both use PCI Express. Also make sure you select DDR4 RAM with this system.

(I recently purchased the exact same components: 5820k, EVGA X99 Micro, and GTX 970 for my wife to use for her home photography business, and for me to play some games.)

I'm not sure what you're planning on using your computer for, but if it's only for gaming or general purpose email and web browsing, you should consider a different system like the Z97 chipset. The X99 chipset is newer and is, at least for now, geared towards enthusiast builds (extreme gaming) or home workstations (photo/video editing).

Does this motherboard support Intel Xeon processors?

Doesn't look like it as it doesn't mention it in the product specs here or on EVGA's website.  If you are looking for a micro ATX board for a smaller Xeon build you will probably have to wait a bit.

Is there an auto overclocking software? Im new to evga motherboards.

I haven't used it much yet, but it comes with special software as well as a very feature rich BIOS that looks like it would make overclocking incredibly simple and quick.

I'm not sure I understand your inquiry correctly because when I think of the size of a heatsink, the case you are using and the type of heatsink you are considering, will also determine if they will prevent you from putting one panel back on, or interfere with the RAM. Considering the EVGA X99 Micro (Which, by the way, like all EVGA products is an absolute gem and a delight if you are into overclocking) has two rows of SIMMS on both sides of the CPU socket and of course, the socket is much larger than an 1150-55 one. I just finished one of these puppies with two EVGA GeForce GTX 980 ACX 2.0 (04G-P4-2981-KR) in SLI around Corsair Obsidian 350D case, two Samsung 940 PROs (256 Gig) in RAID, as well as a 4 TB hybrid Seagate drive for storage; and used a Corsair Hydro Series H110 280 mm self contained liquid cooler that will look like it will never fit, but does so very nicely and keeps my Haswell 40-lane V.3 Processor i7-5930K cool as a cucumber at 4.0 Ghz. Incidentally, all 99 series EVGA boards will need a V.3 2011 socket CPU.
