2 out of 5 eggsDOA on arrival

Pros: It's now working (second try)

Cons: First one was DOA. First MB I've ever had like this, it's a huge pain when you aren't sure what the problem is (CPU, MB, or PS). For the price, it may turn out to be a good deal - assuming it holds up.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fedora 11 didn't like standard graphical install, but the minimal graphical install worked great. rpmfusion.org nvidia drivers got 3d accel working as expected.

Excellent choice for low power build.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Compact Design MB

Pros: This is a great MB, compact design but has most of the important features, easy installation. not like most of the mini itx MB that have narrow space for CPU cooling fan, you can easily install a powerful CPU cooling fan without a problem.

Cons: The driver CD is not quite useful, you might have to go to the Zotac website to download the newest version of the MB utility driver, otherwise the LAN connector is not going to work. also, make sure that you are aware that this MB only has one PCIe 1x and no other expansion slot available. it is "PCIe 1x" not 16x. if you are thinking to buy this MB for home theater PC, you might want to think about it again because there is no high end video card capatible with PCIe 1x.

Other Thoughts: I would say this MB is really for someone who seeking for a general purpose space-saving compact designed desktop system. it works great but it is not designed to service a high-end user. you can use it for office, watching DVD, surfing internet, and all other things but just not for gaming.

3 out of 5 eggsnice...IF IT WORKED

Pros: nice little itx board. bought to make my mother and father a small internet and email pc.

Cons: ***!!!!dose not work!!!!***
turned on 1 time, it post beeped and i went to the bios screen to check the health of the mother board, everything looked normal, i inserted my vista dvd into the drive and exited bos and then nothing.....it tried to restart, no post beep no communication with the monitor nothing.

Other Thoughts: for testing i checked/replaced:
psu (checked psu with psu power tester)
memory (replaced all ram with a different brand)
unplugged the hard drive and dvd drive
cleared the bios
checked that the lcd cable didn't come off (it didn't)

after all that still no go

this is my second zotac board perches in under 2 weeks (a 780i and this) and right now zotac is 1 for 2.......not the best odds when it comes to buying a brand new motherboard and having it work out of the box

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: No issues with this motherboard. Put in a Pentium Dual-core 1.80GHz chip, 2GB some cheap ADATA DDR2 that I bought from the egg over a year ago, and other various parts I had lying around.

Cons: Included case sticker is kind of ugly. Maybe HDMI or a PCIe 16x slot, but that's hard at this price range.

Other Thoughts: Even for it's age, this is a good board for those looking to step into the Mini ITX arena. This was a test build for me and I would buy again.

3 out of 5 eggsOk so....

Pros: Great little bord

Cons: Built in vid card

Other Thoughts: So the video card is not quite as good as i thought it was..... Fear dosnt run too bad but Raindow six vegas 2 just barly runs with all settings on low and the video set at hightest mem and over clocked to 600 ( 667 is the highest it will go and it leaves artifacts on your screen [i think its because of the ram speed]) with the drivers from the cd WOW runs at about 20fps with updated vid drivers you get about 30 (as much as 120 in some caves and instinces[BFD]) updated bus drivers did nothing for my FPS. Its a great bord, but if your planing to play games on it get a case that will let you use that one slot on there for a vid card.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Its a great little board

Cons: Not a lot of room for slots, but its ITX so i figured this

Other Thoughts: Using a E7400 on this and its running sweet. WOW runs great, but it auto config'd the FX a little to high. The video still kicks the but of my 6800 that i payed 300 for a few years back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: I bought this board back in January to build a new server. I decided on a little tiny system, and this board definitely delivers! I bought a Core2Duo E7400 and stuck it on with 4GB of RAM, added 2 hard drives, threw on Ubuntu, and the system has been up for about 43 days, since I built it. I use the server a lot for game servers and stuff. The motherboard definitely delivers!

Cons: Mini ITX systems can be a real pain to assemble. If I ever had to get a drive out of this new server for some reason, I'd have to remove the power supply first. They're great if you need lots of space - but they can be a tricky thing to get together.

Other Thoughts: The BIOS on this board is pretty nice. It has a lot of features I haven't really seen in a BIOS before, like "system boot on key press" that lets it listen to the keyboard, and if you press a key it turns the system on. This is handy for me, because the third time I pressed the power button, it broke. I plan to have this "reflect" in the review of the case I got. :|

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This board absolutely surpassed my expectations!

For a $40 motherboard I figured I was just getting a run of the mill "average" grade board, I feel so stupid for thinking that now. I've had the board about 3 months and I've installed it into a 1U Network Switch case. (details at bottom) The board quality is absolutely awesome! Solid state caps where they are in high use, the grade of PCB is extremely high and the plastic components on the board are made with quality materials. The bios shows 4 sata ports, as the upgrade from this version has 4. You CAN solder in the 3rd sata header and it will work, I'm still unsure as to why zotac didn't do this? While the board has no cpu overclocking features you can adjust voltages and ram timing.

The CPU fan has a PWM header which has AMAZING control, the duty cycle time is perfect, theres no "clink, clink, clink" for every pulse. Intel boards have this problem.

ocforums.com/showthread.php

Cons: Absolutely none! Best motherboard I've ever bought for $40 can't expect more. However I do wish it had gigabit vs 10/100

Other Thoughts: Glad to see LINUX Ahci option in bios, adds extra support for software raid.

System:
FSP Flex atx 200watt PSU
2gb Corsair value 5300
2x 200gb toshiba 2.5" linux ahci with hdadm raid 1 (Don't use nvidia fakeraid)
Intel E4600 2.4Ghz Core 2
Intel Gigabit Pci-e 1x adapter with flex riser.
