1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Great when it worked.

Cons: First one i ever got was DOA, the second one worked and started messing up just over a year. not its completely dead. it just happen to die right outside of the warranty range so i cant even get a replacement.

Other Thoughts: i thought that when you get something something like this is lasts for over 10 years at least. i still have computers from 1995, 1999 and 2001 and they run just fine. hardware quality is getting cheaper and cheaper i swear.

4 out of 5 eggsexactly what i need

Pros: need an ITX board with LGA775, this is what i need for the price performance.

Cons: had bad hdmi, got RMA from zotac.

Other Thoughts: the customer support was standard. thought the bad HDMI problem could be the driver, but the third representative told me to reinstall my OS ... strange. after I had the chance to upgrade to win7-64 and tested with 3 different monitors, the forth rep helped me with the RMA process. (note: all this time the VGA and DVI work ok.)

wasted some time, but eventually got a working replacement. so far, I am quite happy with the result.

one egg taken due to initial bad product and strange support recommendation (to reinstall my OS).

1 out of 5 eggsUpdated review

Pros: Small board. A pro would be the features, if they worked.

Cons: Wireless does not work unless it is sitting right next to the router. In a GUI enviroment the system would freeze and hang constantly.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from Zotac.

Manufacturer Response:

I'm sorry about that. So far we have not received any issue like this before. Please try to update the drivers from our ZOTAC website and update your BIOS. ZOTAC website http://www.zotacusa.com/ has all the drivers available. Or contact our tech support, Hansel von Muller, hansel@zotacusa.com. Thank you.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent little motherboard

Pros: Windows 7 loves this motherboard. Has no problem with HD video and audio through the HDMI out.

Cons: Only problem I am experiencing is USB devices sometimes do not wake up with computer. This includes powering on from shutdown. I have to pull the USB device out and reinsert it.

3 out of 5 eggsGood board, poor wireless, manual not correct

Pros: Small board, with the ability to have some power. Graphics card will play movies, youtube, etc smoothly.

Cons: Wireless does not work very well. I read the manual from Zotac before I bought the board, and it stated that it had a raid control. It does not, so if you are getting it for that reason don't.

Other Thoughts: I found workarounds for everything, but I shouldn't have had to. I've not tested everything to the max yet, so my score could be lower, but so far it seems like a good board, as long as you don't need RAID or wireless more than 15ft.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed....

Pros: The board itself works, however there's an issue with the PCI-E slot in supporting different cards. I tried to use an Intel 4 port PCI-E NIC and the board would just constantly restart. The NIC works fine in other motherboards. It seems that the PCI-E slot only accepts graphics cards, which to be honest is rather ridiculous.

Cons: Not really much other than the PCI-E slot ONLY supports video cards. Quite a disappointment as this box was going to be used as a router.

Other Thoughts: Zotac needs to either A) disclose what the PCI-E port does/does not support OR they need to put in a tweak in the BIOS in which the PCI-E slot can handle any type of device that is plugged into it.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware - PCIe x16 only supports graphics cards

Pros: I'm sure it's a fine board if you don't need to put anything in the PCIe x16 slot other than a graphics card

Cons: Despite the fact that, according to specifications, PCIe x16 slots are supposed to be compatible with x1 cards, it turns out that this board does not follow specifications.

Not only does it not support x1 cards, it doesn't support *any* other type of PCIe besides a graphics card.

The worst part is that you will not see this limitation listed anywhere in the product specifications. It's only listed in bold print in the manual. So you have to buy the board before you realize it's limitations

Other Thoughts: Zotac: Please be upfront and clear about the limitations of this board. I required the PCIe x16 slot to support x1 non graphics cards; now the board is useless to me and I'm out > $100.

Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I'm not sure I can trust any more Zotac boards - what if they're all broken in this way?

5 out of 5 eggsHP slimline replacement

Pros: -a lot of ports for a small board
-hdmi is nice feature
-fair price, free shipping
-plenty of cables came with board

Cons: -none so far

Other Thoughts: Fits into HP slimline 3507c, although the power connector is in a different place than the original mobo. I was able to cram everything in. had to splice a 24 pin atx connector onto original psu.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent value, but had to get two to find one that worked

Pros: Combination of HDMI output and builtin WiFi made this an attractive value. Plus the form factor is nice.

Cons: First MB had bad sound channel on HDMI output. WiFi was also iffy as it liked to cut out all the time until I flashed the BIOS and updated the driver. Replacement MB fixed sound, but I am still working on the WiFi. Hoping the BIOS will fix the WiFi.

Other Thoughts: Runs Win7 Ultimate 64bit very nicely. I'm primarily using this as a media center hooked up to a 50" plasma so the combination of W7 and MediaCenter software and this motherboard makes a nice setup. Would have rated this higher but the WiFi and HDMI sound have sort of tainted my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsPortable Gaming

Pros: I really didn't have a huge list of demands for this motherboard because I put it into a Silverstone SG05-450; basically it needed at least a PCI Express slot, support for my Quad Core processor, and 3 SATA connections. Needless to say, this motherboard meets and exceeds all of that.

People have complained about WIFI, but I get pretty good reception rates from about 15ft away through a wall, so I have no complaints; then again, I use WIFI more as a last resort connection than a primary.

Installation with Ubuntu 10.10 was painless. Everything except the graphics is on par to how it performs on Windows.

eSATA is a nice plus because on the SG05-450 there's only enough room for one full size hard drive and a laptop size hard drive.

Cons: It would have been nice if even one of the four SATA cables they give with this board was a right angle SATA, but that's hardly something to dock this product for.

Other Thoughts: I don't think anyone who purchases this board is seriously going to use the onboard GPU. It's good enough to do everything from draw the desktop to watching things on netflix. It can get roughly 30fps on Counter Strike: Source on low settings running at 1440x900. I actually had a bit of fun trying to see what I could throw at the onboard GPU and see how poorly games rendered.
