Awesome
- Pros: Great(BEST) bang for the buck. Nice packaging. The heatsink covers all the memory DIMMS. Runs games like DOD Source at high with good FPS. Can overclock core speed at least 100mhz.
- Cons: Loud fan at first. Had to flash BIOS to get it to quiet down. I personally hate the ATI drivers, I had to install .NET just to install Catalyst, and the ATI drivers in general cause my PCs to have mouse lag when gaming in some select games. Also, my card won't let me overclock past stock memory speed, although it does let me with the core speed.
- Other Thoughts: All in all, it's a GREAT deal, but small things like the fan noise and ATI drivers prevent this product from being a 5.
Great GPU!
- Pros: Easy to set up, Temps are lower than my old card. It was a breeze to install. Overclocking is going well, its stable at the highest OC that Overdrive will let me go. (600 GPU & 1400 MEM)
- Cons: fan... they have it set to run 73% no matter what (unless it gets REALLY HOT like 85 degrees to get 100%). I just used ATI tray tools to set my own speeds by temperature. its quiet at 50%... and like a vacuum at 70%...
- Other Thoughts: Yes, it doesn't have the Crossfire bridge, but I didn't go crossfire so no con for me there.
Sprinter, not a Marathonner
- Pros: Blistering DirectX 9 performance for the $$
- Cons: Died after 2 months of running "Folding at Home" GPU client. RMA was 15 dollars....for them to fix their defective product!
- Other Thoughts: Not a fan of companies making you pay to fix their defects. What incentive is there for a company to do it right the 1st time if they make a PROFIT on warranty service! This practice has got to go!
