5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Video Card!!!

Pros: This video card is fast, reliable and is cheaper than the 8800GTX. It has 256mb more mem than the GTX and faster timings. It's crossfire ready and comes with an internal Bridge! Runs most of my games (including the Crysis demo) perfectly! Even at 1680x1050! Easily overclocked. I have mine at 806.63/1125.00mhz (core/memory)!!! Combined DDR speed is 2.25ghz!!! It's amazing.

Cons: A little big, I expected it to be though. Use the 7.10 drivers for this card, 7.11 just doesn't work right. You will need a PCI-E 8-pin power cable for this one too along side the 6-pin, more of a warning than a con. Fan can be a little loud (using AtiTool Fan Control).

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have enough space in your case for this card and make sure you have a really good PSU! Tagan makes a nice PSU that works great with this card and is Crossfire Supported. The Tagan BZ-700. AtiTool .27 Beta-4 is compatible with this card and is recommended for the fan control, along with the overclocking options. If you have 3D Mark '06, there is a fix that allows you to use it to benchmark this card. Don't worry about heat problems if you have a well ventilated case with filters. I'm using an Antec 900, wich are also on sale right now too. Get this Video Card!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBETTER THAN 8800 SERIES

Pros: This card is better than the 8800GTX or Ultra. It has a higher core clock, GDDR4 memory compared to GDDR3, 256MB more memory and handels DX10 better with more FPS!

Cons: It is bigger than an 8800GTX and it is power hungry.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have the money for this, get a HD3870.

5 out of 5 eggsIn response to: "can these 2 cards be crossfired"

Pros: seebelow

Cons: seebelow

Other Thoughts: in response to "can u crossfire with..."
umm...y would u?
Even if u could crossfire the 2, you would not benefit from the 1GB of memory or the GDDR4.
The more powerful card would be severely bottlenecked by the weaker one.(the speed of the more powerful one would automatically underclock/slow itself down to match the weaker card) U should get another 2900XT 512mb GDDR3 if u r looking to go crossfire. I'm pretty sure the brand is irrelavent.

5 out of 5 eggsQuestion...

Pros: none yet...

Cons: none yet...

Other Thoughts: Can you crossfire this card with an Asus 2900XT STALKER edition with 512 mb GDDR3 memory? It seems possible because the only thing that's different is the manufacturer and amount and type of memory in it.

5 out of 5 eggsA True Gamers Choice

Pros: This card is just straight up amazing. Pure power, 1gb of gddr4 video and able to be crossfired. this version of the 2900xt outperforms the new 3k series of radeon. And not to mention, this thing has the 8800 ultra beat. Maxed settings on UT3 and Tabula Rasa. All i have to say is wow. Put this thing to test on Asus new Luxury Slim Line series of Flat screen monitors-Model Ls201.

Cons: Pumps out a lot of heat. By an exhaust fan for your case if you dont have very good air circulation.

Other Thoughts: The Size of this card is immense compared to what im used to, but thats not a problem.

My Rig-Asus Maximus Extreme Mobo. Q6600 Quad core 2.44Ghz. 2Gb ddr3 1333 ram. 800W nzxt Psu crossfire and sli certified. 150GB WD HDD @ 10,000RPM. (2) 2900Xt's 1Gb each in Crossfire.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Card idles at about 52C for me, and I have seen it peak at 63C after 2 hours of Crysis. Have been running it at 825/2100 to play it on the safe side, but have tested it in 3dmark06 at 850/2250. I run Crysis at 1680x1050 on my 22 inch widescreen with all setting on very high except water and shadows, which are on high. Scored a 10,200 on 3dmark06 with shock card settings and a e6420 at 2.8. Scored an 11,100 when the card was OCed to 850/2250. Performs is only going to go up with drivers. And no, to all the nvidia fanboys saying they r as good as they r gona get, there is no way, this is still a very new card

Cons: None, yea it uses a lot of power, but I planned on getting this card so i bought the 850 watt psu with two 8pins

Other Thoughts: Ati is a great option right now. My friend has a gtx, and though on most games he might get slightly better performs, on Crysis we run the same settings with roughly the same frames. One difference i noticed was when the cards are bogged down, he gets screen tearing and I get lag. I think my image quality is better though =). However, this card is a much better price/performance competitor than the 8800gtx, and you can find deals on this card all over the place.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card eats through whatever I throw at it....Simply an awesome card. If you are looking to upgrade to 1Gb(GDD4, not 3) of video memory, then this is the card to choose.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Runs quiet, but a little warm. If you have a Full tower case, you should be fine, however a mini-tower or mini-atx style case will be a bit warm for you....

5 out of 5 eggsBUY WHILE YOU CAN!

Pros: This card provide unbeliveable performance at a very competitive price. I have 2 in Crossfire and they give me insane FPS for all Source engine games at 1920 x 1080 Res, smooth rendering on DX10 Games, and pumps out an average 30 FPS on High settings at 1080p in Crysis.

Cons: Hot Hot Hot! I Even if I remove one of these cards my system temp still goes way up. On occasion I have seen these cards peak 61* Celcius in controll center! Other than that the cards are near perfect!

Other Thoughts: I have had a few hiccups, especially back when I was using the 7.9 Drivers. Crossfire configuration will sometimes give me unreasonably low frame rates at higher resolutions, but this is simply a driver problem. I am sure 7.11 will fix this problem and booste my perfromance across the board. BUY THIS CARD WHILE YOU CAN! They are going to stop making these in the near future.

5 out of 5 eggsWow and Wow

Pros: High heat; Use a well vented case. When used in crossfire mode this card will beat any 8800 ultra card in all bench marks. Very fast and pound for pound, this card has beaten my old system (Using a single Card). My 7950 GTX in SLI mode on an Asus P5WDH Deluxe even when overclocked it could not keep up. Priced Great. System: Asus Maximum SE, 2 GB Corsair dominator DDR2-1066, Conroe 6850 (3.0 Ghz), Stock Heatsink,no north-bridge Water cooler, 2-Sapphire 2900XT 1 GB cards in crossfire).

Cons: Sapphire needs to ship instructions for the newbies. Even the forums would not be specific in the hook-up options for the ATI overdrive options to ensure top notch performance from these cards. Ensure you hook up the 8pin along with the 6 pin power pins coming from your power supply to get the overdrive options to show up in the catalyst control center.

Other Thoughts: Get the Antec Quattro 850 watt power supply (it's cheap and reliable!) Also it's crossfire approved!
