5 out of 5 eggsImpressive Card

Pros: I think I bought the last one, after my purchase I saw mine shipped and now the site says Auto-Notify. Anyhow, this is a fantastic card considering the price as of 10-4-06, $xxx, and the ability to run any game flawlessly.

DX10 cards are said to be coming "soon", spending $xxx on a X1950XTX is a waste of money when you see what is coming soon, but this is a fair price for a powerful upgrade.

Cons: This is not really a con obviously as everyone mentions it but yes the card takes up two slots. Just be prepared is all, not a big deal to most people.

I suppose with this box labeled "cons" I have to complain about something, the only thing I can nitpick about is possibly the fan's noise. It's maybe a little loud under full load, but for me personally when I'm in that situation its usually during a game, in which the action, music, and sounds all drown it out anyway. I guess I failed to find a con =P. Very satisfied with this card.

Other Thoughts: Numerous reviewers say "I upgraded from XXXXXXX which ran everything perfectly, and I don't notice any performance increase. If you buy a new Mercedes every 6 months the average person is not going to notice too much of a difference. But the guy whose been driving a 78 Chevy everyday will be blown away. I myself came from an X800XT and was starting to have some performance issues with certain games such as F.E.A.R., but now all is well.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best card for your money!!!

Pros: I purchased this card to go with my first build. I couldnt have made a better choice. System: dfi lanparty motherboard, 2x512 OCZ memory, amd 64 3500+, 250G hard drive, xion blue led windowed case,(chucked that power supply that came with) and a n ultra atx 600w power supply. with this setup I can play all games at max settings and the card doesnt skip a beat.

Cons: runs a little hot for my taste (50 deg c idle- 80 deg under load.), with the software that comes with it you dont have fan control, once you upgrade to better software the fan sounds like a weed eater (loud).

Other Thoughts: dont buy into cooling solutions for this card. this card just runs hot and its made for it!!! download the atitool v.25 beta 15 and crank your fan speed up to 100% and game for eternity!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsBeast of a Card

Pros: This thing eats through games.

Cons: Mine burnt out in 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Apparently from the begining this thing showed signs of corruption. My initial boot up screen to get into bios was displayed in an unusual array of colors... 2 weeks later while playing a game poofed. Although up until then it performed like a dream until this happened. I RMAed it. It is out of stock at this time and perhaps forever... Newegg poped me an email and they have given me no problems at all. I am getting refunded :( I wanted this card too.

4 out of 5 eggsCorrection.

Pros: Whoever said that a 6800gt will beat this card is insane. Something in your system was just plain old not set up properly. EVERY bench mark I have read shows the EXACT opposite.

Cons: None. Fast card. There are better bang for you buck deals. But no 6x00 series cards will beat this one....

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None...well,it has a pretty user interface to make adjustments, but it doesnt have the bang you need for online games, like real time responses.

Cons: This card was a huge disappointment, sigh.I went from playing World of Warcraft with a 6600gt at 100fps average on medium settings to 50fps on low settings with this.I immediatly returned this and got my money back. This card runs HOT.

Other Thoughts: The card looks neat when you take it out of the package, but dont be fooled by looks, there are older nxxdia cards that will outperform this with ease.Save your money.

5 out of 5 eggsStill rockin'

Pros: I bought this card the day it came out almost a year ago and haven't had one problem with it. It overclocks extremely well, not that I need to anyway. I play any and every game on maximum shadow detail, texture filtering, anti-aliasing, resolution, you name it. It may not crunch out 200fps like Quad Sli, but it sure gets the job done, and it looks amazing.

Cons: Why ATI set the default clocks at 594mhz core and 693mhz memory is a mystery to me. It was slightly annoying at first, but even at those clocks it runs great.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully the ATI-AMD merger benefits both companies. They've both produced great stuff over the years; I can't wait to see what these companies come out with next.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Pros: Great bang for the buck. Excellent performer.

Cons: None. Its not the latest, but in my humble opinion, you get a lot of card here for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsLike It

Pros: Great Card Fear MAX 3800X2 2G PATRIOT DDR 4000 @510 MHZ @ 2.55 88 AVG IN FEAR MAX 217...Buy it I chose over 7900GT ...

Cons: none- ATI, should invest more time in cooling so that you can have great temperature without the noise.

Other Thoughts: Catalyst set timings at 690/800

5 out of 5 eggsRediculous!!!

Pros: Extremely Impressed with the graphics that this card can produce. I got 130fps on CS:S stress test with all settings maxed out and 80fps on BF2 w/ settings also maxed. I love ATI! I would recommend this card to anyone thats into some serious gaming.

Cons: My first card stopped working after a week but I returned it to Newegg with no problems and got a new one right away. I'm sure it was just a fluke. Fan is a lil' loud on start up but at least its got a fan that blow the air OUT of the case instead of around the inside of the case.

Other Thoughts: I'm running this card on a Pentium D 3.4ghz, 2gig DDR2 533mhz, ABIT AW8 motherboard...Combination kicks some serious booty!

5 out of 5 eggsLove It

Pros: Great overall performance. It renders beautiful graphics. A must have for all extreme gamers. Only a little under x1900xt for a but load of money less.

Cons: A little large.

Other Thoughts: Have at least a gig of ram. It will give you best performance.
