2 out of 5 eggsDon't buy it

Pros: Worked well for about 4 months...

Cons: ... Then the fan broke.

Other Thoughts: 4th ATi card I've bought. Second since AGP bout 'em, both from since AGP bought them have had the fan break. This one is the second. So long ATi. I'm goin' back to Nvidia.

2 out of 5 eggsUpdated Review...

Pros: (Updated review) Easy to install with correct video settings. I suggest setting them to the lowest settings before extracting your old card to install the new one. Great for duel monitors. And the settings can be tweaked per monitor instead of across both.

Easy to keep up with the latest drivers. Website with easy access to drivers.

Good for a low end system with no real taxing on the card.

Cons: (Updated review) I bought this card in November. I put it in and it started fine until I opened anything that would really use the graphics accelerator. Then it was like a spoiled child screaming and kicking the whole way...

I play World of Warcraft and had my settings to mid range with my old card, with this card I had to run them at the lowest settings and I still couldn't play because of the graphics lag. I consulted with other players to make sure it was not server lag.

This card is much worse than my old card. I was using an old GeForce 5200 128mb AGP card. I put this puppy in expecting to see higher performance and better graphics, and I got none. The card ran MUCH slower and choppy.

I called the Sapphire technical support a few days after trying to figure out the problem myself. They were great and tried their best to assist in fixing the problem. There was no solution after 2 months of trouble shooting.

After a few months, it started to run even slower.

Other Thoughts: So I'm just building a new system, and giving this card along with my old computer to my kids.

If your still using AGP stick with Nvidia. They have always had a better and faster product. Or just build a new system... I'll never go back to a Radeon card. That's my personal opinion.

1 out of 5 eggscaveat emptor - :P0$ alert

Pros: Relatively inexpensive - initially. . .

Cons: This :P0$ went south 7 months after install - nearly destroyed my mother board. After 3 HARD pc crashes - one not seen - two witnessed - the culprit was discovered. The card's cpu fan quit - this caused the card to run in an overheated state for an unknown amount of time until the first crash. NE does NOT cover a warranty on this past 30 days from date of purchase - mfg web site states that you WILL get bo-dee-o-doed for the RMA return to Hong Kong & back $ charges -

Other Thoughts: My bad for thinking that I could get away with upgrading a 4 year old system - what WAS I thinking - - -

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card BUT not the one I got

Pros: 8X AGP/512Mb/DVI and VGA outputs.

Cons: I ordered this card and to my surprise I received the 100175L model. Why.....don't know

Other Thoughts: I kept the card anyway because it was more then the 100275L at the time. Now there the same price....... And also, It's only going into a HTPC.... And with-in there, it runs great

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade

Pros: great card for the price, i play world of warcraft and before upgrade i was getting 14 frames per second on the lowest graffix setting and after installing the card i now get 45-65 frames per second and thats on the highest video setting so i would rate this card a 8 or 9 outta 10

Cons: as of right now none my computer is messed up so it dosent help the speed of computer like i thought but it does speed up my games nicely

Other Thoughts: took me a little bit to install card you need to unplug one of your power supplies and then plug in their adapter into that then you can plug your cd drive back in and then you have the power to the card to run the fan. also before you install card you have to go into computer hardware settings delete the old card but dont restart then you have to install the software of new card then you can shut down you computer and install card plug in power screw into place and plug and GO

4 out of 5 eggspretty good for the price

Pros: For kicks I benched it against an old, cherished Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB AGP (also Sapphire) in 3DMark05, the latest 3DMark I had lying around. With some modest AA and AF, the new X1650 Pro nearly doubled performance, scoring 3285 to the 9800 Pro's 1992.

Cons: Doesn't come with the heat sink in the photo, which was the main reason I bought it over some other X1650 Pros. That said, heat doesn't seem to be a problem, at least in the light benching and testing I did. Also, the jumper was set to PAL, not NTSC, on my card. If you buy this in the US or another NTSC country, double-check that jumper.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my mom so she could have DVI with her new LCD, and I chose this Sapphire because I've had good luck with the brand.
