2 out of 5 eggsCareful When reading email

Pros: Cheap...

Cons: Gets hotter than the blazes of hell, and all it's used for is internet and email, maybe the occasional video on youtube. The computer was running slower as i read more email.

Other Thoughts: I can only imagine what would happen if I tried to fire up wolfenstein 3D, the video card would probably melt through my motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Gets warmer than expected

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what it is, but I have a Radeon X300 (256mb), and I get higher FPS with it than this card.

3 out of 5 eggsGood budget card

Pros: Good budget card. Using it in a windows home server box. Low power and no heat.

Cons: No power what so ever if you want to play games. Can play old games but that is it (Halo on PC for example).

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fanless, but still runs cool. 512MB for the price of many others' 256MB cards.

Cons: S-video output is slightly overscanned and tilted clockwise. If not for that, I'd have given it 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: Needed a fanless card for my HTPC, and this one works just fine.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Has really opened up options for me at a low cost.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Have not tried it for any newer games, just using for general purposes. Have used to connect my 60' widescreen tv as a secondary monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsNothing Fancy, but An Excellent Deal

Pros: $30. I wanted a HDCP capable video card to put in my aging P4 system. It originally had onboard graphics, and once I upgraded to this I was able to watch videos with no processor usage, and view graphic intense webpages with no slow-down. Also, has no fan so the system runs quieter. Some may list this as a con, but if silence is what your after and you have good airflow in you case, get a fanless. I've seen some fanless cards that get scalding hot, but this one runs only mildly warm.

Cons: As you can tell from the picture there are two uncooled RAM chips on the back. I don't know how hot the chips are designed to run, but they are DDR2, and I would have liked a cooler. I would rather have only 256MB and leave the other chips off, than have problems one day from over heated chips.

Other Thoughts: If you don't need a powerhouse graphics board, and just want something to improve the windows and web-page experience, this will cover you needs. I'm sure you could play some basic or older games on mild settings, but I don't use my P4 system for it, so I can't tell you. Now, that I think about it, the fanless design would be perfect for a Media Center PC. My P4 system is: P4 3.0GHz, 1MB Cache, 1GB of DDR2 RAM at 533MHz, two SATA HDDs.
