5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: high frame rates. 5-10% more then the 4850X2 with half the noise :O OCs well. Will go to 1 ghz core but has the occasional error and tends to get a little hot 85c. I run mine at 990 mhz core and 1125 mhz memory (4500 mhz effective woot woot). normally sticks around 79-80c under load. Heat pipes look great with my red led's reflecting off them.

Cons: Though it is quieter then most high end video cards, it's still the loudest component in my system when it's running under heavy load. Something around 20 dba would be ideal for future cards :)

1/2 of the heat gets displaced out the rear of the case(good). Other 1/2 of the heat gets displaced into the case(bad).

Other Thoughts: Overall, great card. It has a little room for improvement but you're going to have an extremely hard time finding a card in this price range that can out perform it... In fps or dba!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome card.....running at 1000Mhz core, 1125Mhz memory (4500Mhz effective). Handles anything I have thrown at it at over 60 FPS maxed out at 1920x1200 resolution (I dont play Crysis but I could probably run it close to high without a problem).

Runs ~5 C cooler than my 4850 idle and about 20 C cooler under full load than my 4850. I have my computer in a non-air-conditioned server cabinet so it gets warmer than most cases, my 4850 Toxic ran at ~80 C (sometimes hotter sometimes cooler) in this case, the hottest I have seen this card in the same case and setup is ~67 C....heck, the memory on this card (at 72C max) runs cooler than the 4850 core did in the same environment.

Cons: Price is the only con....cheaper would have been better but if your even looking at the reviews your likely already willing to pay $250 for a graphics card. Cant get any better at this price range.

Other Thoughts: Its large, but not nearly as large as some other cards I have seen......only about half an inch longer than my 4850 Toxic I upgraded from.....takes roughly the same amount of room due to the 4850 having a 2-slot cooler that ejected air into the case.

5 out of 5 eggsCrossFire Config

Pros: The most vivid image I've seen on my dual 30" screens. This card is incredible.

Cons: Make sure your system has the juice - in crossFire = 2x 6 pin and 2x 8 pin. They also dump a slight amount of heated air back into the case (not too significant if you have decent air exchange happening).

Other Thoughts: It's a good looking unit too.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperFast & Quiet!

Pros: I don't own the most graphics-demanding games but for the games I own (a lot of Steam games), I've never seen them as realistic until I bought this card. I used the Catalyst's Auto Tune & now my card is running @ 1025 MHz. So far, no glitches.

Cons: Are for all the people that have installed it or will install on a case smaller than a decent midtower. Please stop complaining about how big the newer video cards are. You want performance then deal with the size! Buy a new case or buy a puny graphics card.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible Card

Pros: Amazing card. Runs silent and runs anything. And for the price it simply CAN NOT be beat. The hottest ive seen mine get is 45C under full load for over an hour. It can run any game i want with any settings i want with ZERO hiccups. Just make sure you have a beefy power supply it requires an 8 pin AND a 6 pin plug.

Cons: Its a huge friggin card.

Other Thoughts: This just the system im running,
DX58SO board with an intel core i7 920 running at 2.93 in turbomode stays around 30-40C
Thermaltake Blackwidow 850watt PSU with active pfc and modular build.
6 gigs of Mushkin 1600 DDR3 triple channel with 9 9 9 24 timing.
And of course the sapphire 4890 toxic.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card

Pros: Quiet fan, 43C idle 60-65C load in a SilverStone TJ10 case. Does 1000|1100 overclock with only 38% fan speed. When you stack up its thermal performance, acoustic properties and price, it's one of the best buys out there.

Cons: None I can think of other than availability.

Other Thoughts: I liked the card so much I ordered a second to try in Crossfire with the first. Glad Newegg finally got these back in stock. With four left, that won't be long though.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Drivers = Nvidia purchase

Pros: Ran very cool and very quiet. Something that I was really looking for in a high end card: Power, quiet, and cool (in that order).

Cons: Would only run games that it felt like. Ran Fallout 3 like a champ (I could actually see a good distance: Hoorah!!!). Completely crashed on other games: COD5, L4D, etc. I couldn't even benchmark the thing as 3dMark would crash, too. I say crash, but what it would do is soon as I started to try to play the game/benchmark, it would collapse the screen to a dark screen and lock up my system. I did all of the correct installs, clean driver sweeps, proper power supply correction . . nothing. I'm pretty computer savy so I know it was narrowed down to the drivers. I just wasn't smart enough to correct the issue.

Other Thoughts: In order to make sure that it was the ATI drivers, I bought a 260 and vroom!!! Away I went in no time. So, too bad. I really wanted to like this card, but the ol' ATI drives really stink curse finally caught up with me. Not saying that I wont' buy ATI in the future (as I'm not a fan boy on either side), but it sure will make me hesitate. I'm giving two eggs b/c I'm sure the card kicks (as it did when it wanted to work) and NewEgg has a fantastic return policy.

5 out of 5 eggsThe ULTIMATE GPU...

Pros: Fastest single-gpu card on the market. Great price. Absolutely amazing cooling for this gpu. Sapphire has gone all-out recently, changing thier supplier for hardware; top of the line capacitors and resistors offer great power-handling which leads to longer product life. Dual-DVI outputs. Will run ANYTHING at highest possible settings when using 1680x1050 or lower resolution. Plenty of room for a "TOXIC" overclock.

Cons: Needed a 6 to 8-pin PCI-E power adapter, as my trusty old ToughPower 750 only came with 6-pin cables, and I refuse to put that big of an additional load on an already loaded +12v rail by using the supplied adapters. If you do not have adequate cooling inside your case, this thing will make matters worse. The "exhaust port" on this card does a poor job of exhausting the hot air outside the case, as there is no seal on the plastic cover to PCB which allows the hot air to escape inside the case. It's quite large, and some people may have trouble with newer motherboards and some cases.

Other Thoughts: Vapor-X is an absolutely amazing technology. I'm just blown away by how cool this thing stays. I know I said in the "Cons" that it will add to your heat issues, but the heat has to go somewhere! It sure as heck doesnt stay on this card!
To the person that gave this card 2 Eggs and complained about the noise: There is either something wrong with the card itself, or you have the fan set to manual in Catalyst Control Center and set @ 70%+. Even with all my other case fans running at 25% power or less, I cannot hear this card's fan UNLESS it is at 70% or more power. There is NO WAY that you are hearing this thing unless what I stated above is true. And you are using a case that big, with that much cooling and that many fans and are complaining about noise anyway??? If it bothers you that much... time to switch to water cooling or start using Speedfan.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply beautiful

Pros: Quiet, cool, ZERO crossfire issues, drivers work in Windows 7, awesome performance. Fallout 3 basically maxxed out on an older stock Q6600 and it's beautiful.

Cons: Can't find any yet.

Other Thoughts: Running 2 of these in Crossfire and i couldn't be happier. Haven't touched the clock speeds. I set the fans to 60% in games and have yet to see them surpass 60*C in my cramped case. First ATI product i've ever purchased after 6 generations of Nvidias. I'm a believer. :)
