Sapphire brings the power of graphics ‘supercomputing’ to enthusiasts with their Vapor-X Radeon HD 4890 card. Built on Sapphire's original Vapor Chamber Technology, this card will bring the benefits of Vapor-X cooling - quieter and more efficient cooling - to a wider range of users.
The Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 4890 card has 1GB of high-performance GDDR5 memory, clocked at 1050MHz and the GPU core is clocked at 870MHz. Supporting AMD CrossFireX technology, two high-speed connectors on each card allow two or more cards to be used together for enhanced performance when installed in a CrossFireX compatible motherboard.
The Radeon HD 4890 incorporates the latest ATI Avivo HD Technology for enhanced video display, and features a second generation built-in UVD 2 (Unified Video decoder 2) for the hardware accelerated decoding of Blu-ray and HD DVD content for VC-1, H.264 and MPEG-2 codecs, considerably reducing CPU load. The card’s HDMI and DisplayPort connectors supports multi-channel audio formats (up to 7.1) and combines audio and video output on a single cable for direct connection to an HDMI ready or DisplayPort ready display. Support for DirectX10.1 ensures the optimal performance and application compatibility with all DirectX10.1 applications and enables stunning 3D graphics and shading effects in the latest DirectX10.1 games.

Awesome Card for 1900x1200 gaming!
- Pros: - I spent a week reading ~20 reviews on the 4890/4850/4770/gtx260c216/gtx275, and user reviews. In the end, I picked this card up from Newegg and I am very happy. This is perfect for gaming at 1900x1200.
- Other makers/brands/models are a little cheaper or include a game, but I decided the better cooling and quieter performance was a wise investment.
- Installation was a breeze using latest drivers from ATI's website.
- I read that referrence 4890s are loud. However, the custom cooler on this card is surprisingly quiet. I can barely hear it and don't at all when I have music/games going.
- It does generate some heat, but I keep the tower under my desk so it doesn't bother me at all.
- Definitely worth the extra money for the cooler/quieter performance. Good job Sapphire!
- Newegg is fast!
- Cons: - Prices drop every couple of weeks. I got tired of waiting and not gaming. Stop waiting for dx11 cards and buy this card!
- Other Thoughts: - Had to disable HDMI Audio in Device Manager so the sound doesn't go to my TV speakers and instead, goes out my motherboard audio port to my Klipsch speakers. Took a while to figure out since the option to disable hdmi sound is not found in ATI CCC.
- Big card, connecting power cables makes it even longer, but if you have empty 5" bays you'll be fine. Fits my Antec 300 case easily.

A+ Recommended video card
- Pros: Very VERY Quiet! Running auto fan speed it stays 55c idle, 68c load. Auto fan speed stays 40% idle and jumps to 51% load, I cannot hear it at all. I moved it to manual and fan had to be 80% before I could hear it at all. I'm just running it with the Overdrive and it performs beyond expectation, Framerates of all my games are phenomenal with settings maxed at 1920x1200 (CoD5, Crysis, WoW in Dalaran,Hawx). Now the only fans I hear in my case are slight noise from the Tt psu and zalman cpu fan(yes they are too loud imo), soon to be corrected. I hate noise. I recommend this card if you want performance without the noise and a flawless install experience.
- Cons: None.

FAST!
- Pros: I was a little skeptical about how this card would perform on my system, but it clearly blew away my expectations. it runs Crysis maxed out on my machine (1440x900) with ease, stays quiet, and looks pretty cool with the lights.
- Cons: nothing i can honestly think of
Great deal
- Pros: This is a great deal! I compared it to the newer cards and found that this card it only slightly slower, and far less expensive.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: I plan to buy another one to use in the crossfire mode, and will have more performance than the more expensive single cards.
- Pros: Able to run almost every game maxed @ 1680x1050 except for a few games (i.e. Crysis, max without AA, Fallout 3 drops frames from time to timewith max everthing). The card looks great, nice blue LED and is pretty quiet for the most part.
- Cons: The fan makes a small buzz when my computer first powers on but goes away after about 10 - 20 seconds. Could be a defective fan or something but I can live with it. The card is thick, requires 2x6-pin power connectors and is pretty long, ensure that your case has the room and a decent power supply.
- Other Thoughts: This card isn't the fastest but for the price versus an Nvidia equivalent to performance, its a great deal and the option of going crossfire is a plus.
