5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Design

Pros: First off, to clarify the cooling thing. There is NO WAY that you could use that little vent on the back to move enough air to cool both GPUS. Also, most cases that can accommodate this card will have a VGA fan on the side specifically for cooling big graphics cards. The reason the heatsinks face "sideways" is to allow for more air movement.

This card is not too big to crossfire. Many motherboard manufacturer's are catching onto the fact that video cards are becoming larger and taking up more space. That is why the dual/triple PCIEx16 slots are spaced further apart.
Take GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD7 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 XL ATX AMD Motherboard for example. Dual PCIEx16 slots that are plenty spaced for two of these monsters.

Cons: The card is huge, no way around that.
Takes up 3 slots.

Other Thoughts: I plan to buy two as soon as I throw together two grand to blow on them. It will hands down be the most powerful crossfire there is, especially with ATI's new support for crossfiring eyefinity cards.

I have always been happy with sapphire video cards.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't be dumb.

Pros: Okay, well i haven't bought this card yet, but i plan to in the future. I see pros of this card as the following:
-Wicked cooling [and for the person who said something about the heat directing to the mobo. its kind of wrong. When you install the card, it usually points down, so the air goes down, and if you got good cooling and airflow, it won't be a problem)
-Sweet looking
-4 Gigs of GDDR5 GPU ram, as well its a 512 bit card
-Its two GPU's in one card!
-Two DVI ports, with a DP in the center

Cons: -Not really a con since it comes with a DP to HDMI connector, but there is no HDMI slot
-LONG, big card, sucks since discription has no card lengths
-Little large to CrossFire, though it would make it amazing

Other Thoughts: Well, my future rig, once i get the money

3 out of 5 eggsHSF

Pros: Best of the best card with the 4gb frame buffer.

Cons: Take a close look at this heatsink...the fins run side to side meaning that hot air is going to be directed towards your mobo or the side panel on your case.

Other Thoughts: I don't get the design to this HS at all...the bracket has a nice big venting area but when you look at the close up of it, the fins aren't pointing towards it at all so no air is going to flow that way. Like I said above, it's all directed at your mobo or the side panel. I guess you can reverse side panel fans to pull the air out but that leaves you with only front and bottom cold air intakes and will leave more of a vacuum in the case rather than positive pressure forcing within the case. For such a high end card quite a letdown.

I don't own it and won't because of this design, just wanted to save everyone else $1k on a mobo heater.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best Period w/ Eyefinity

Pros: The 4GB (2GB per GPU) makes game play smooth. I have owned crossfire 5870, crossfire 5850, and crossfire 5970. They don't touch this single card in terms of constant frame rates with 4X AA or 8X AA with eyefinity 3 monitor gaming. Every current game runs butter smooth across 3 screens. This card is amazing.

Cons: Don't be a fool though Crysis Warhead with no AA on very high setting will average 21 fps and on high settings 30 fps on eyefinity. You cannot crossfire these cards and get an increase in frames per second with eyefinity. With a single monitor crossfiring 2 cards will work but then you don't need 2 GB frame buffer and can get a regular 5970.

Other Thoughts: My card overclocks to 1 GHz GPU and 5040 MHz (1260 x 4) on the RAM. The card stays cool even when over volted. The VDDC stay cool too because there are 4 as oppose to 3 on the regular 5970. More VDDC can split the voltage load and don't get as warm. The RAM comes pre over volted to 1.2 volts :-)
