4 out of 5 eggsGreat card, runs very hot

Pros: Excellent video card for the PCIx slot, it tackles everything I can throw at it without flinching.

Cons: IDLES at 60c and can reach 75c or higher under load. I'm afraid I'm gonna burn myself if I touch my computer case and I've had to take the cover off and direct a room fan into it for fear of the thing overheating other components.

The card is huge and feels a little loose in the PCIx slot, but that's quickly remedied by securing it with screws. Even so, I keep my motherboard flat on the bottom of the case I would be a little afraid of the card putting stress on itself and the motherboard if I was using a vertically oriented motherboard, but that's probably me just being overly cautious.

Other Thoughts: Definitely a good buy, but make sure your system can handle the heat. I can literally cook eggs and heat coffee with my case now and it's not even overclocked.

5 out of 5 eggsHD UPGRADE

Pros: For how much this card is it is so amazing how great it looks. All I wanted it for was to play World of Warcraft using an HDMI cable on my new HDTV and it is so awesome how it all came out.

Cons: I wouldn't suggest getting this for the S-Video settings though... well i wouldn't suggest any card for that really lol. Go for a HDTV with HDMI settings :D

Other Thoughts: It was rather large to put in and I got a rather small tower. but it still fit nicely and was so easy for some one like me with barely any knowledge of upgrading my PC to do. Also I shopped around at my local electronic stores for a graphics card first and this was the best one I found for the smallest amount of cash.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Most bang for the buck IMO.

Cons: Very large, barely fit in my old tower, but it did.

Other Thoughts: Other reviews said that it runs hot, mine does not, other review also said downloaded drivers do not work...I downloaded the drivers and they worked perfectly.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty GOOD!

Pros: Great video card, I purchased this one after my NVIDIA 8600 GT burned out. I can run all my games with maxed settings and highest level of Anti-Aliasing. Runs Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2, Day of Defeat Source, Silent Hill 5, Bioshock, and Call of Duty 4 all maxed.

Cons: I thought it would do better with Crysis, but then again, what can!?!?! I thought it would let me run a higher resolution with A-A, but whatever (It Can do it, but just not smoothly).

Other Thoughts: I had to purchase a new PSU for this card. I heard rumors that it over heats but that has never happened to me (I monitor the card with GPU-Z). Keeping the inside of my desktop clean helps. It reaches higher temps only when I run more demanding games (i.e., TF2 on ALL max, Crysis on Med/Low, etc).

The card also helps the system run faster, but that happened with my 8600 GT as well anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsWAY better!

Pros: Awesome card, it fitted nice in my inspirion 530. it plays everthing on high with my 2.4 core 2 very smooth(although my power supply chords where in the way alittle)

Cons: can heat up to 62C (or higher) if your playing something like crisis all the way up

Other Thoughts: Its great for the buck and it works with PCI express X16 under XP

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good...

Pros: It got a 5.9 rating on WEI which is pretty darn good. Installing drivers and configuring this card was pretty easy on Vista 64x. This is probably the best graphics card you can buy for PCI Express 16x (not 2.0). If you have a 2.0 than you can get better, but unfortunately my MB didnt have one :(

Cons: This isnt really a con so much, but this thing is HUGE! it just barely fit in my case. You probably wouldnt be able to fit this in a proprietary mATX case... it would need to be at least a mid-sized ATX case.

Other Thoughts: Nothing comes to mind

4 out of 5 eggsConnects to TV beautifully

Pros: To clean up a room we elected to combine a desk PC in the same room as the 50" 8 year HD old compatible Toshiba. The card connects seemlessly with TV and the picture is remarkable. I tried ATI X1300 and it just was under classed with performance.

I was very fortunate to purchase this while on sale and only wish I bought 2 at the time but I wa unsure of the compatibility.

Cons: Make sure that one has a lot of room in the tower case since the card is fairly thick and will take up some room. No big deal for my system but might be snug for a heavily populated system.

2 out of 5 eggsNot so hot

Pros: the specs are impressive. seems to work alright, but not stellar. no vissible difference from my last card. seems to run cool (approx 45 C).

Cons: huge card, with integrated blower (can't be easily replaced). The only working drivers for this card are on the disk. will not work with ATI or Diamond downloadable drivers. does not work with ATITemp. ATI driver software is poorly implemented requiring a tray app, and 3 userspace processes.

Other Thoughts: not very happy with it considering the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns beautifully in Crossfire

Pros: Stable, internal Crossfire bridge, DirectX 10 support.

Cons: Pricing for these cards has been all over the map. Diamond rebate hasn't been processed, even though it was sent in nearly 3 months ago.. web site suggests rebate claim not received.. all I can say is that it hasn't come back to me, so not sure what happened there.

Other Thoughts: Previously running 2 X1950-XTX's in Crossfire and though they performed okay, they were unstable and curiously, had difficulty running older games like Starcraft. The HD3870's are rock-solid by comparison and so far, have run everything at reasonable resolutions.

4 out of 5 eggsIncorrect memory speed!!!

Pros: Stable card, 1Gbyte of DDR3 Ram is great. Patch Script works well.

Cons: GPU-Z states that Ram is actually running at 870Mhz which correspondss to 1740Mhz effective... What the Hell.... That is not 1800Mhz like advertised!!!!
