5 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: tons of ram
solid build

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: my friend has 2 6950s unlocked running crossfire faux 6970s, runs amazing for him with no problems... I'll Polly do that after I upgrade the other things on my list first :-P

Pros: Ran good, dual bios was a nice feature. It did play most games very smoothly, while it lasted......

Cons: After about a week, it began to artifact and freeze in game. No way to fix it. I need stability for my system so I sent it back to Newegg for a refund. Went on ahead and got a XFX 6970. I've had good luck with their products in the past.

Other Thoughts: Sorry but I have a hard time saying good things about a product that was rebranded and sold as a Diamond.

Pros: - Fast on BOINC
- Vue runs like very nice card can take a lot on itself.
- Games are smooth
- Hi-res textures runs well and detail is amazing.

Cons: - Can go very loud (not a con) but if you do some serious work and push fan to 100% its like hoover and cools down extremely well. Under 100% from 89'C down to 44'C in under 30secs

Other Thoughts: This card was easily and nicely bios changed to 6970's model. No problems at all.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat paperweight

Pros: None

Cons: Drivers randomly crash on a fresh install of windows and instantly crash when trying to run any Game or OpenGL/DirectX application. Bought a new 850W power supply to make sure the card was getting enough power and the drivers still crash, I've tried different versions of the drivers including the 12.1 Preview, none of them made any difference. Diamond's tech support is disappointing, called them half an hour before they closed on Friday, waited for half an hour and never talked to representative, because they closed and are not open weekends. Card is unusable I wouldn't recommend buying this video card.

Other Thoughts: Put in my old GTX 260 and it runs just fine with no driver crashes and stable.

5 out of 5 eggssweet babby jeebus

Pros: -Unlocked to 6970 shader levels with RBE.

-I get stupidly high framerates in Just Cause 2, among other games.

-Draw a surprisingly low amount of amperage for their power.

-Running 3 19" 1280x1024 monitors in eyefinity without so much as a hiccup.

-5 year warranty if you register. Site only lets you register one card per session; clear all the cookies for to fix that.

Cons: -All monitors have to be plugged into the first card for Eyefinity, which means I had to go buy a mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter. kind of irks me.

-DisplayPort lag. Get a 1-2 second lag when exiting or entering games on the monitor attached to a DisplayPort.

-Didn't come with a Crossfire bridge. Not a problem; borrowed one from a friend who isn't a meathead who wants to run dual GPUs.

Other Thoughts: -Upgraded from two EVGA GeForce GTX 465 1GB cards that had massive stability issues in SLI. The upgraded VRAM makes a noticeable difference.

-If you peel the Diamond sticker off the blower wheel, the AMD sticker is still there underneath. I actually peeled all of Diamond's stickers off. I'm sorry Diamond Multimedia, but you may like the 3D rendered scantily-clad women plastered on your products, but that's gaudy to me. It's something that was in style in 1998.

-One card has the vendor ID from XFX, and the other is AMD/ATI's ID. Neither had Diamond's vendor ID in the BIOS header. Silly rebranding.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card so far

Pros: Currently have a 1680x1050 monitor. Skyrim detected ultra settings and tf2 is completely maxed out running between 200 and 300 FPS.

This card has the dual bios switch. I was able to unlock the extra shaders - I didn't flip the switch, I just extracted the bios from the card and found a tool to bump the shaders (just google for it, I can't remember where the tool was).

Cons: Not too much of a con, but the loudness of the fan actually surprised me! At 60% speed I'm worried that some of the neighborhood pets might get sucked into my case and chewed up by the GPU fan.

Other Thoughts: Paired with my i5 2500K, I can blow most games away so far. I only have a 1680x1050 monitor so the GPU is overkill for it, but I do plan on getting a higher resolution monitor sometime in the near future. Temps are around 60-65c when playing games / bitcoin mining.

5 out of 5 eggsNext 'Legacy' Card

Pros: -Plays everything I've thrown at it.
-Unlocks to 6970 nicely.
-Register with Diamond's website and get a 5 year warranty.
-Silent card.

Cons: -Not really a con, just a bit odd, but when I boot my computer up, the card fan will rev up at full speed for a few seconds until it posts then go back to silent.
-It's like a 3-3.5 lb. card.
-Like other reviewer said, no Xfire connector, VGA adapter. Just the card, CD, and small "guide."

Other Thoughts: The card does run a bit hot for me (~58C load) which really isn't bad. But I like the reference design because it exhausts most of that hot air from the card out of my case versus a non reference cooler exhausting that into my case. Because of this, my CPU temps dropped a few C over my previous card, a non reference 5770 whose warm air rose and went through my exhaust rad.
