1 out of 5 eggsDONT BUY THIS CARD

Pros: ONLY CHEAP

Cons: SCREEN BLURRED. THE SCREEN BLURRED EVEN I WATCH ONLINE VIDEOS OR BROWSE WEBSITES.

Other Thoughts: IF YOU WANT TO BUY THIS, DO NOT MAKE A REBATE BEFORE YOU ARE SURE IT WORKS WELL.

1 out of 5 eggsCard issues

Pros: At this point I don't see any?

Cons: Video worked fine for a week or so, then started to freeze up, screen would go black or brown with lines? I would then reboot the computer but it would just go to a black screen. I had to unplug PSU for about 20 min's then plug back in and computer would boot fine. Seems the video card can't handle a load for very long? Looking to RMA if can't find a solution? Any one else? I am not a gamer, I built this for a customer. I stress tested the card with FurMark and 3D Mark 11, sometimes both programs would run without a hitch? Other times they would not make it past a couple of minutes?

1 out of 5 eggsbad product, even worse support

Pros: NONE

Cons: EVERYTHING, had 3 of them go bad within 6 months. The worse part is Diamond has the worse tech support of any company i have dealt with, yes even worse than Asus. I have been in this industry since 1994.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card so far!

Pros: Card does a low overclock very nicely, super stable - even with stock fan settings. I've noticed even with the ability to tweak voltage percentages, stability drops almost immediately (artifacts). Probably due to the lack of a dual 6-pin power connector. I can't complain, because I knew this going into it, and since I can get my Core Clock to 1GHz with 1,379 Memory Clock without my fan hitting 63%, I can say this was really worth it. Just watch out for the cheap fan blades.

Cons: Easy to screw this card up. Watch out with your overclocks and your fan speeds. I tend to do no overclock at all or a low OC of 940 Core with 1,280 Mem and stock fan speeds. If you can bump your fan curve, go for a higher overclock, but based on the cheap quality of the fan, I wouldn't push it too hard for too long.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card thinking I might be disappointed because the original cover pictures showed dual fans (and possibly dual 6-pin power connectors) and I got a single cheap fan - but at idle temps of 24 degrees C and running temps of 45-50, I'm satisfied. For now.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: low temps, low power consumption

Cons: The fan is made of very cheap plastic. I reached my hand in there to feel around for a vibration yesterday and the edge of my knuckle barely grazed the blade and it snapped which jammed and caused 5 other blades to snap off. the fan was running at 20%.... I've never had a case fan do that let alone a GPU fan. Yes I know, not the smartest thing to do, putting my hand in there. It's the only way to find vibration. Yay for warranty....ugh. back to the GTX460 for now.

Other Thoughts: OK so I've had this card a while and really put it to work. Started noticing horizontal tearing here and there. Temps were still good so I dunno. Could be sign of a dud.

I think i'm going to sell this one on on auction and go back to nVidia and snag a GTX660 instead. Since I went back to my GTX460, I'm noticing its much sharper in environmental and character details vs the HD7850. It just lags behind and gets choppy at times

4 out of 5 eggsWorks good for me

Pros: Low cost, good temps, low power consumption, great performance

Cons: Not really any IMO. Heat sink shroud could be better looking. Looks like cheap plastic. Glad I am putting my water block on it

Other Thoughts: Unlike the first reviewer, I've had no issues. Initially it ran hot as he!!, but after a couple hours, it seemed to cool down once the thermal paste settled in. Idle temp about 31c,under load its about 64c. Not too bad really. My GTX460 ran hotter under load. The only gripe I have with this card really is I have noticed some graphics rendering is lacking sharpness in detail. I play a lot of Diablo III and in places like Fields of Misery, the grass that usually looked nice and sharp and u could see each blade moving when you ran through it move, now looks more like algae moving on water.

Particulate and glow effects are awesome compared to the GTX460 I was using.

I think this is a good buy. I was weary when I ordered it when it had no reviews yet. I noticed a lot of other HD7850's had bad reviews but I am happy this one wasn't a dud. Diamond has always made solid equipment IMO and that's why I decided to take a chance.

2 out of 5 eggsUnstable in my experience

Pros: Can probably run most current games.
Stays fairly cool. It idled around 30-32C with an ambient temp of 25C (77F).
Fan is usually pretty quiet, until the GPU gets past 45C or so.

Cons: Randomly BSODs, crashes, starts flickering on the display.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these from a local retailer - the first one had two fans and was extremely unstable. It flickered and crashed when I was only browsing my Google+ photos. So I exchanged it for what I thought would be the exact same one. Strangely, the replacement has only one fan.

The replacement could do photos no problem, Half-Life 2 no problem, and Dishonored no problem. None of them really got the GPU above 30% though, so I decided to run a Furmark stress test. Without overclocking at all, default settings, it ran between one and two minutes before huge areas of the screen went black and purple and the flickering was back. This happened as the GPU reached about 60C, and I ended the test there.
