2 out of 5 eggsBummer - Runs to hot

Pros: Asus Made - No Fan - DirectX 10 (for Vista MCE)

Cons: Bad design. All heat is one one side - next to other cards in Media Center - Never felt antyhing this hot before (you can't even touch it - screen locks up. Older asus design better where heatsink was on both sides

Other Thoughts: I tired it in 2 systems, same issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGood base Vista GPU

Pros: Runs Vista and al it's eye candy well.
Plenty of power for a little gaming or video.
Helps future proof a new system.
New Nvidia drivers work really well.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was put in a customers new custom PC. They wanted the most value for their money, and this is really the lowest end card I'd want to put in a new Vista machine. They were very happy and I was, too. I great, silent GPU that'll give a PC a little more staying power.

4 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Price cant be beat for a dx10 card. No noise and low power perfect for HTPC.

Cons: Poor documentation maybe the worst of have seen for a retail box card. Scores low on bench software and doesn't perform well in some games. It could be a driver issue with x64 and vista 64 I guess. I feel my old 7800 did perform better in dx9 or older. 128bit and Gddr2 are also lame.

Other Thoughts: This could be a similar situation as the old FX cards when they were introduced back a few years ago. At the time TI4200 was king, then the FX5200 came out it was slower in DX7 games but as soon as DX8 was available in games the FX took advatage of the new instructions and became the faster card.

5 out of 5 eggsnear seamless video playback (xp)

Pros: - fanless
- somewhat low power
- well built (asus)
- good video support

Cons: - still a weak driver for xp (they are putting most of their driver effort into vista, sadly)

- NO linux support - at all - yet

Other Thoughts: bought this ONLY for htpc use. no gaming - just SD and HD video playback.

using 'reclock' and the latest NV website drivers, I do get quite good video playback. still some tearing but NO dropped frames on mpg (even 1080i).

5 out of 5 eggsA great quiet card

Pros: I actually purchased and installed this product, which is unlike some of the idiots who post reviews on products they haven't even acquired (What's wrong with these people?).
This card works as advertised. I really enjoy the lack of a loud fan. I haven't yet given it much of a test with any demanding games, but I have noticed a definite improvement in the operation of my TV video card. Before installing this card I just had the motherboard Nvidia 6100 graphics. After installing this card my Vista rating increased to 5.0 from 4.5.
As always, the service from Newegg was first rate.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Hey people, please don't post a review on a product you don't even own !!!! That's analogous
to giving a movie review on a movie you have not seen.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat DX10 Card

Pros: If you're looking for a cheap DX10 card to update your 2-3 year old system this is the card. It's noiseless and plenty fast to run my home theater system.

Cons: It runs hot, my system monitor reports temps around 80ºC on the card. But this doesn't seem to affect the functionality.

Other Thoughts: To take full advantage of the cards features you have to download the latest drivers from nvidia's website.

4 out of 5 eggs2 (not 3) video outputs

Pros: Beats my Intel Extreme(ly bad) graphics without a problem. Quite - all of the fans in my system don't turn on when my Google Picture screen saver starts. I can max out the settings on Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (only game I have on my system).

Cons: Only 2 of the 3 outputs work at a time. So I can't run my two desktop monitors and play a movie on the TV at the same time.

Other Thoughts: May go back to running the secondary monitor off of the onboard graphics and clone my primary monitor to the TV out.
