5 out of 5 eggsnice card, hard to beat for the price

Pros: great price
i placed this in my Dell E521 then got the the 4 pin adapter to run to the 6 pin power supply connection on the card, that allowed me to run it without upgrading my stock power supply.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: the fan is pressed flush against the lower heat dispenser on the Dell motherboard. It's not an issue and you don't need to play with anything, its just a tight fit.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card but no Linux support

Pros: Great card, runs anything and everything that I've thrown at it.

Cons: My only beef with this card and it's kind of a deal breaker for me is that it won't work natively with newest ubuntu (8.10) and or linux distro with compiz...one of the major features that I hoping to use with this card. AHHHH. Good card, NVIDIA just hasn't gotten on the ball with linux drivers. The cards been out for a year and no support, come on? For those that are interested in Linux/compiz, here are supported nvidia cards, I think I'm pawning this card off to a non linux brother and upgrading to the 9800 model:
Linux 32-bit
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_177.80.html
Linux 64-bit
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_amd64_177.80.html

Other Thoughts: I realize that I didn't do my research on this card and Linux but I would've thought that Nvidia would be on the ball with this.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: Good card, not the fastest, but runs Crysis at 1440x900 with (recommended) medium settings very well, so well in fact I could probably push some settings up to high. Fan is quiet, no worse than any of the other fans I have in the case (Antec 120mm Tri-Cool fans on low) and keeps the GPU pretty cool. Runs fine in a PCIe x16 1.0a slot, although now that I've upgraded my mobo it's in a proper PCIe x16 2.0 slot.

Cons: Seemed to have trouble with an earlier version of the nvidia driver with the new PhysX engine (BSOD), but the latest version seems to have cleared that up.

Other Thoughts: I have an XFX 8800GT as well which handily beats this card, but was also more expensive and power hungry. If you are a hardcore gamer, spend the extra money on an 8800GT or better, but this is still a good card.

I actually ran this card for a couple of months with an Antec TruePower 380 and now have it on an Antec NeoPower 550.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Excellent card - very quiet. I bought it because the other reviews said it was quiet and cool (didn't want the 9800 because of that). I'm a foot from the computer base and can't even hear anything. Plugged in and ran perfectly, and handles the games I've tried just fine.

Cons: No complaints. The card is big, but still fit in my case just fine. Make sure you buy a motherboard with at least 6 inches behind the video slot though.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking Well

Pros: I've had my new system up and running for a while now. My older games look absolutely awesome (I have a new respect for the animations in Madden 07) and Fallout 3 (the main reason for the new system) looks very good.

Cons: It is a mid-range card, so don't expect to go on high settings at massive resolutions in the most demanding games.

Other Thoughts: I'd say you get a little more than you pay for with this card.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card !!!!

Pros: I upgraded from a 8500 GT. Now with this card with all options enabled (which I could not do on the old card) every game has 3 to 4 times higher frame rates :-)

Cons: fast, cheap, runs cool and quiet

Other Thoughts: takes up two slots (no big surprise here)

4 out of 5 eggs2 Slot Power Hog

Pros: Fast
Installs easily
On sale, plus free shipping, plus rebate.

Cons: Eats power supplies that are less than 26A on the 12v rail (more than 95% of power supplies)

Takes up 2 card slots

Other Thoughts: All I needed was a $40 card to run a new 21" lcd, but I thought, "why not spend $40 more and get something that could game. I don't game, but my 4 and 6 y/o boys soon will.

When this card arrived it was clear that it would eat 2 of my 4 pci/pcie slots.

It ran as soon as it was put in, but took a dozen boot ups to configure 3 programs from Asus, my monitor SW and to remove 4 programs associated with my old on-board video card.

Cool so far, so I thought, "why not install the included After Dark game and show off to my 6 year old". So after a 45 minute install of that game, I turned up all the settings, and called him in. We both were very impressed for 10 minutes until the computer just went cold and black. My power supply died! (I don't know if my drives and MB are ok yet.)

After 3 hours research, I see that single 12v rail power
supplies with 26+ amps (like Corsair) that can run this are $100 (and 4 days away.)

Lesson - don't buy this unless you need it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Card!

Pros: Runs games very well.

Doesn't get as hot as other cards do...
Nice heatsink and quiet fan.

When paired with the right CPU, Crysis runs nice with highest settings.

(To run Crysis on Highest settings under XP, overdrive the .cfg files within CVarGroups.)

Cons: Hmmm... ?

None yet.

Other Thoughts: It's worth it.... Try ONE!!!

IMO, for the price, it's better than the 8800 family.

I'm glad I got it when I did...
I saved $60... lol

5 out of 5 eggsFabulous Card

Pros: Stable
Performance
Price
Quiet
HDCP ready (though I hate it)
GDDR3

Cons: HDMI set-up a little annoying

Other Thoughts: This cards runs some of the most video intensive aps without breaking a sweat. Should serve you well for quite a while, so long as you have a decent set-up. I have with core 2 duo (NOT extreme) and 4 gigs of RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good card, very impressed.

Pros: Quiet, fast, overclocked. It runs everything I have been able to throw at it. I had to buy a power supply because I didn't trust my stock 300w supply. I play the following games on 1650x1050 at max settings with no lag at all: unreal tournament 3, bioshock, cod 4, team fortress 2, and Crysis on all High settings with no AA. For $99 and free shipping, this was well worth it. I ordered it Newegg shipped it and it was delivered the next day. As always great job by Newegg.

Cons: none i can find.

Other Thoughts: Here's my computer and game settings:
Dell Inspiron 530
Q6600 2.4GHz quad core
2GB ddr2 800
250GB HDD
Rosewill 500W PSU
