Other Thoughts: Get it. The new X2 platform is awesome.

5 out of 5 eggsMonster

Pros: Looks: Like a Stealth Fighter mated with an Apache Helicopter.
Runs: Like a Formula 1 drag car.
Sounds: Like a possessed monster truck wanting to leap into the crowd.
This card is a monster of a card. It weighs close to 3 lbs, the case is made of METAL and it's the size of my FOREARM. Do not buy this card, unless you have room in your case! This thing is made for Pixar employees and Evil Geniuses who wish to plot the end of the world.

Cons: As everyone else states: This is a loud card. It require a good set of speakers and a nice sound card to endure you cannot hear it.

Other Thoughts: I found if you feed it a lesser gfx card it will quiet down for a few days and perform as it should. Refusal to feed it may result in the consumption of your motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggsLOUD

Pros: Works as well as it should.

Cons: Sounds like a blow dryer! Blows hot air into the case. Gets hot and crashes during gaming(BF2142) my 3850's in crossfire didn't do that. Eight pin power plug hard to find, ASUS customer support couldn't even tell me where to find one(bought it as open item).

Other Thoughts: I buy almost exclusively ASUS but this thing is just loud!!! very annoying.

4 out of 5 eggsFreakin' LOUD

Pros: Good Frame Rates...Compatible with Maximus Extreme (I've had probs with other cards) 4 DVI heads so I can run 3-4 monitors on a single card (which I do) This card runs all my games at maximum settings at 1280x1024 or higher (depending on if I want to play it across multiple screens or not.

Cons: LOUD This combined with my TEC (the fan) is almost unbearable. I actually lose sleep when I leave this things on over night I actually thought about buying a different card because this one is so freakin' loud

Other Thoughts: The DD waterblock for it is too expensive for a card thats already out dated and going to be replaced in a few years anyway.

4 out of 5 eggsThis is a big card!

Pros: Overall performance is great.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: If this is for a new build, you need to install sp2 before you can install drivers for this guy. Also this is powerhungry, must have 6 and 8 pin to run this thing

5 out of 5 eggsVery good performance

Pros: I am impressed at how this card performs in older and newer games. 215 fps in counterstrike source. 0ver 40 fps in company of heroes opposing forces and gets exceptional performance with max settings. Looks superb on World Of Warcraft with 60+ fps average. Driver support is very nice, when you install the drivers it recognizes crossfire right away with this. It gets a score of 5.9 on vista. This card even lights up. Price is awesome also!

Cons: Very big, power consuming, system requirements.

Other Thoughts: I am thinking about going with crossfire which will = quad. Not two GPUs working together but four for a great price. And for the people that don't know about the system requirements. Go to the ATI website and look up this card and it will tell you everything you want to know about this card. Make sure your motherboard supports crossfire at least. Also check up on chip set requirements for this beast. Newegg rocks!

4 out of 5 eggsNO Blu Ray in WinXP x64

Pros: Fast card, huge video memory, acceptable temperatures with the fans jacked up, not noisy over all the other fans in my system.

Cons: These ATI-based cards will NOT play Blu-Ray movies in the WinXP x64 bit operating system. The BD-Advisor diagnostic program shows the drivers incompatible with Blu Ray, and results in monitor report as not being HDCP compatible. I tried everything with different drivers, and other hardware peripherals and a different fullHD LCD monitor, but the same results. I deinstalled the drivers and card and put in my old Nvidia 8800GTX video card and it works perfectly for playing Blu-Ray movies without a hitch, with all the same hardware otherwise in there. BD-Advisor shows all green LEDS with the Nvidia card installed. Watch this card, and other ATI-based video cards for playing Blu-Ray movies in WinXP x64 based operating systems.

Other Thoughts: It plays games and regular DVD movies fine and is otherwise a very nice card.

2 out of 5 eggskinda works

Pros: 4 dvi ports

Cons: card performs absolutely terribly in anything newer the UT2K4 -- this one might be defective since my both my 3850 and my 7300LE run circles around it. This card either blue screens the machine or runs poorly ( <1 frame per second in many recent games ) and I have tried a variety of drivers -- is there some specific version that works?

Other Thoughts: Called ASUS to see if it might be bad -- they said they couldn't help me at that time and would call back. They never did and I haven't had the time to call back and sit on hold.

There are three very bright white leds on the back of my card when it is running -- is that normal?
