5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff.

Pros: Price is low as is power consumption, would work on any system, 80 watts idle and 120 fully loaded as measured at the wall.(see other thoughts for system)

HDMI audio worked fine for me in Vista x64, as in there was sound, not sure how many channels or anything.

Surprisingly good gaming performance on Left 4 Dead: Resolution 1400X900 mostly high settings, low AA,
Played for hours with no major slowdowns, even with hordes of zombies descending upon us.

Temps were in low 40s idling and never got higher than 50ish.

No problems with install on g35 chipset under Vista x64 or a 2 year old amd chipset under XP, even while switching from Nvidia to Ati.

Low profile bracket included.

Quiet.

20% improvement in gaming numbers by unlocking overclocking in Catalyst Control Center then hitting the auto-tune button.

Cons: Non adjustable Fan on this card because it has a 2 wire fan. 3 or 4 wire fans should be controllable; in general if you look at the pictures of a card and see only 2 wires you won't be able to control that fan manually. A lot of cheaper cards are not controllable; I believe it is a cost cutting method.

If gaming is your biggest priority the 4650 (or even better the 4670) is right there just a little higher in price.

Other Thoughts: I didn't list this in cons because i bought this open box (and saved some money) but I had the yellow tint on the analog connection, dvi and hdmi work perfectly. Probably got those other guys returned card.

Gave this to my friend (on the AMD chipset) after playing around with it for a few days, he upgraded from a nvidia 7300 and he's happy, I'm happy, everyone's happy.

Equivalent to nvidia8600gt or 9500gt, but this has better HTPC capabilities.

System: Asus G35 board, e2200 65nm overclocked to 2.6, 1 hd, 1 dvd burner, 1 tv tuner.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW GREAT VIDEO PERFORMANCE FOR A MID PRICED CARD.

Pros: VIDEO AND SOME GAME PLAYING WITHOUT A HITCH. NO CRASHES,NO FREEZING, NO PROBLEMS....A HOME RUN!

Cons: SO GOOD THAT I JUST ORDERED A HI DEF MONITOR 28" TODAY.

Other Thoughts: LOOKS LIKE I AM GOING TO BE AT THE COMPUTER MORE THAN EVER NOW. A REAL JOY.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Nice price for a decent card with RGB, DVI 'and' HDMI outputs.

Cons: Doesn't have the CrossFire link on card. You have to have Vista to get CrossFire with this card.

Other Thoughts: Bought this card for the computer I built for my daughter-in-law. She was wanting a good card that wouldn't set her back to much. This card fit the bill.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little budget card

Pros: It does exactly what I expect it to do. It turns raw data into pretty pictures.

While it may not be the end all be all for games, it plays Fallout 3 on high settings with no issues.

Cons: It took a little tinkering to get it to fit in my case correctly. It kept wanting to sit a little too high. I think this is the motherboard though, and not so much the fault of the card.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought this for my home theater PC. Good SD & HD video quality.

Cons: Fan is audible from ten feet away.

Other Thoughts: AMD really needs to perform quality control on their Catalyst Control Center application.

5 out of 5 eggsJust works...

Pros: Works fine with both 32- and 64-bit Vista Ultimate. Easy availability of new drivers from AMD.

Cons: Manufacturer could have provided separate backplane mounts for low-profile installation (this was not a problem for me though).

Other Thoughts: Installed card in Dell Vostro 220. No issues.

4 out of 5 eggsGOOD CARD FOR THE MONEY

Pros: 1. You cant beat the cost of the card for what it does.
2. It took my Vista PC from a rating of 3.0 to 5.0
3. It has a lot of features and settings to tweak it.
4. I like the Smart Doctor protection software
5. VGA, DVI, and HDMI all work great.
6. It beats the heck out the onboard video that came with
my PC.

Cons: The only reason I give 4 eggs is due to the fact that it has no fan control. Somehow it's disabled by default and fan control is set automatically depending on usage for gaming or video capture, etc. Other than that it's a great card. I am searching for an update or patch for this tweak. Otherwise I am very pleased.

Other Thoughts: I use this card in an Hp Pavilion a6560z-
Windows Vista home Premium w/SP1
AMD Athlon 64X2 5600+ @2.8 GHZ
ASUS MXV8300 MB nVidia MCP61 Chipset
4GB PC6400 DDR2 800MHZ RAM
WD 320GB SATA HHD
HP DVD/RW SATA w/lightscribe
LITE_ON DVD-ROM SATA
Creative Sound Blaster X-FI EXTREME 7.1 Audio
500 watt PSU
I view it all on a VIZIO 32" VW32L HDTV

2 out of 5 eggsNot a great card at all

Pros: Small card; don't need extra power; easy to setup

Cons: For gaming, don't buy. This thing doesn't even come close to a 9600GT or even a 9400. I replaced this with a 4830 for just $40 more and it's like a swapped a Prius for a Vette. On my system, I got 3500 on 3Dmark06 on a C2D running at 3.5GHz. The 9600GT hit 9700.

Other Thoughts: This is a good card if you want to build a HTS. Don't buy if you want to game (unless you like Fallout 3 at very low settings).
