amazing card if you have the space
- Pros: excellent ability to stay cool with the heating pipes.
allowed me to go from low graphics settings to ultra in most games.
has a great utility options setup provided by nvidia
- Cons: this card takes up 2 slots on the back of your shell.
the card is very long (not an issue with a full atx case, but smaller setups will likely see problems)
requires extra power from the psu to run
- Other Thoughts: this card is well worth the price. if you have an asus motherboard it makes it a perfect companion. this card has taken me from zero to flying in no time flat. hd output and onboard sound make the card something else to go for.
Good video card
- Pros: First ASUS video card, I usually use XFX.... upgraded from XFX9500 GT, and I have to say this card is a vast improvement.
- Cons: Size... two slotter, so make sure you have enough room before you buy.
- Other Thoughts: Other reviews state that this card runs hot. and for the most part, it does... I usually see it at 50C while running Modern Warfare 2. The highest its ever been at for me is 55C, mind you, I do not have a very great case at the moment. There is also an issue with the noise of the fan... it is a little noisey, but overall it doesnt bother me.
Rebate returned to sender un-opened
- Pros: Nice performance/price. Cool looking HSF.
- Cons: Rebate materials were stamped return to sender and boomeranged back to me un-opened. I followed all instructions meticulously and even used the goofy address label provided after registering online.
Attempted to email support using the link in the rebate FAQ, and this was also returned "undeliverable"...
- Other Thoughts: I am not one of these whiners that claim every rebate is a scam. In fact, I have purchased MANY (at least 15-20) products with rebates over the years and NEVER before had any issue. They take forever, but I've always been paid.
