3 out of 5 eggsNot for gaming

Pros: It worked great with windows 7.

Cons: Do not recommend this thing for gaming. After awhile it will start over heating and die.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

The GT430 isn't particularly strong for playing games and other things that require high performance. However, if your card overheated and is not working properly now, you are entitled to utilize your warranty to repair it. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns I am happy to help in any way that I can.

Regards,
Jeremy

4 out of 5 eggsASUS ENGT430

Pros: - Low profile
- Cost
- Great for SFF
- Comes with short and normal brackets

Cons: - None that I can think of, works well for a cheaper card

Other Thoughts: Originally bought this to use with my old Dell 530s system seeing that it is a small form factor card it fits well. I also was unsure about airflow for the card and that it would run hot in the slim case so I modded the case with 2 usb powered 80mm fans to draw out heat generated by the card. Card runs really cool, but I think would be fine without my added fans.

The only con that I forsee is not really a con I guess but I have this card in a new system I built with FX-4100 and a MSI mATX mobo, the only thing is now in want a better card. Will be replacing the GT430 with a GTX 650 ti, but I'll be putting this one back in its original home in the 530s. I'm so far very happy with this card and will continue to use it.

5 out of 5 eggsQuite Pleased

Pros: Got it for a great price. Great bang for the buck. Performance is solid, but I'm not much of a gamer. I edit video at times, and this does the job.

Cons: Fan got a wee bit noisy after 18 months

Other Thoughts: After the fan got a wee bit noisy, I did a little Frankenstein surgery and fixed it up.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: Got it for my friend who's computer couldn't run anything, now he can get 60fps or higher on most average quality games with quality set near max.

Cons: the low profile brackets do not quite fit properly and the bus for vga output cannot mount under the card, this caused my friend to have to not use the bracket for it and just let it hang free.

Other Thoughts: slightly longer bus for vga input and it would be perfect

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: Works great for my HomeTheatrePC. I've updated my old card which was also an ASUS (9600GT). The old one was able to play everything but 3D Blu-Ray. I've decided to try a Low-Profile ready card for a future case update (I want to reduce the foorprint of my HTPC) but i was a little hesitant about the included fan (being an HTPC I want to keep noise at minimum). Well, I'm happy because the card performs much better of what I've expected. Just plugged in, turned on, Nvidia drivers were the same, only difference is that now it has all the 3D Vision settings available for stereoscopic viewing, audio bitstreaming capable and the reason I've bought it for... it plays 3D Blu-Ray!! It doesn't even make a sweat, well... just 2 degrees over idle and the fan is barely noticeable.
I can't say anything about gaming because I don't play on my HTPC, but if my old 9600GT could play Crysis 2 on max resolution, I think this one could make the run for its money, hehe! I'm very satisfied so far.

Cons: none thus far

Other Thoughts: Excellent choice for a HTPC imo. At first I wanted to break my marriage to ASUS, but now I can say that I'll stay faithful to their motherboards and video cards...never had any problem with them.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with hackintosh

Pros: Works out of the box with ML 10.8.2 hackintosh. Plays video with charm. I have mine in an old DELL optiplex.

Cons: heatsink is thick, had to move HDD. Will switch to SDD soon

Other Thoughts: good buy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat low profile graphics for budget, and slimline buyers

Pros: Runs Chivalry at medium settings with 45+ fps, runs tf2 flawlessly on high graphics, same with Minecraft, and Dota 2. Plays 1080p videos amazingly, by far the best low pro card I have ever owned.

Cons: Runs a little hot, and a little noisy for me, but nothing to much.

Other Thoughts: I am running this card on a 220 watt psu, I was a bit afraid at first that I would fry my motherboard, but it has chugged along quite nicely so far.

Also, this card just barely fit in my system, it has a fairly large cooling fixture on top of it.

(pc specs, Dell inspiron 660s, i5 3330s, 220 watt psu, slimline)

5 out of 5 eggsPiece of cake

Pros: Does it's job. Install was fall off a log easy. Playing Civ V G&K with all the bellls and whistles.
$10 rebate, card has it's own fan. ~90% reviews 4 eggs or above.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: HP PC had a open PCI slot to upgrade the onboard Video. Install the card, boot up, Win 7 finds the latest drivers from the web. So simple.
