5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card, but where did it go?

Pros: This card runs all games I've encountered at max settings. It is the first card I've had that doesn't occasionally blue screen. It is easy to install, looks very slick, and is well jacketed. I've noticed little to no noise from it over the other fans. No software or driver issues to speak of.

Cons: Where the heck did this thing go? I had an alert for it to come in stock. When it came in stock, I ordered one. But now that I'm interested in crossfire, where has it gone? ASUS definitely needed to release more of these.

The only issue some may have with this is it's long as hell. Make sure it fits before you have to do some creative cabling. It's even big in my Corsair 660T SE case, so I'm not joking.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus AEH 6970

Pros: Runs everything W/O a problem at max settings idles [25/30c] and maxes out at [49/60c] using furmark - 7.9 in the windows 7 exp index. About a year of constant use without a problem says a lot....

Cons: Cant keep these in stock?

Other Thoughts: Cheaper and faster than the Matrix 5870 it replaced, the HD4XXX series AMD cards gave me a reason to switch from nvidia the HD 5/6 series sealed the deal, if AMD continues to make products that work like this at this price point - no reason to think about nvidia..

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Absolutely incredible. Runs everything I have thrown at it at the maximum possible settings. If you are able to spend this much on a card, this one is worth every penny.

Cons: They sell out quickly, so you have to lurk to get an opportunity to buy one.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!!

Pros: EASY install! Windows 7 64bit recognized them instantly, and after the new drivers, they were up and running flawsly! AND they're not as loud as the 3870's they replace.

Cons: THEY'RE LONG! Replaced my old 3870's with two of these....Took me almost three hours to install as I had to move two of my HDD's and re-route a LOT of wiring!

Other Thoughts: They're long! Make certain you have the room and the powersupply!

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Amazing

Pros: - Easy to OC
- Max settings, any game or benchmark with smooth frames. 70+ fps @ 1920x1080 depending on game
- Runs cool
- Aluminum shroud
- No driver issues (I have had many in the past)

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: I was able to overclock to 990 mhz core 1450 mhz memory. It runs around 40 °C idle and 70 °C at max load. The fan does get somewhat loud but it's not an issue for me, just something to note. The size also isn't an issue. Although it is a large card, people buying this card have enough room in their case for it.

As far as performance goes, I get 5487 in 3D Mark 11 on Performance and 1933 on Extreme. In 3D Mark Vantage, the GPU scores a 21213 on performance. Max Settings Heaven 2.1 scored 721 @ 28.6 fps. All benchmarks and games are run at 1920x1080. Gaming has been a dream - Max settings for every game, Metro 2033, Rift, Starcraft 2, Black Ops, Bad Company 2 - Never a hiccup.

Overall it was a good buy. If you want to spend this much on a card, I would defiantly pick it up.

System: AMD 1090T @ 4 Ghz, Asus Radeon 6970 @ 990/1450, Corsair Vengeance 8 GB @ 1600, Asus Crosshair IV, Corsair AX850 PSU, Corsair H70 Cooler, Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB and 1.5TB, Antec 1200 Case

5 out of 5 eggsRocky start Perfect now.

Pros: Fast, Runs everything at Max settings, seems to be running cool for me. Newer drivers making noticeable differences.

Cons: It is a little loud but that is to be expected I think.

Other Thoughts: I have had the card for about 4 months now. When I first received it I was having a hard time running games at max settings and streaming flash media on my second screen. I had all of the drivers updated from AMD but nothing was working. I was just living with it for about a month thinking that I may need a second one. I tried updating the drivers again and now everything runs perfectly. I can stream anything I want on my secondary screen while playing any game at max settings without any stuttering. Still want to get a second in anticipation for BF3!

4 out of 5 eggsJust a Follow up

Pros: I installed arctic cooling to these cards, temps never go over 45c full load helpfull hint get the a rctic cooler for the 5870 card, its a much better fit.

Cons: all good, no problems at all

Other Thoughts: I purched one of the arctic cooling from new egg for the 6970, $72 then i purchased the arctic cooler from e wiz for the 5870 for $42 and its a perfect fit, you still need the added kit for the 6970 from arctic cooling, unless you are ok with a little work of your own like me.

4 out of 5 eggsIts big, works nice

Pros: No problems at all loaded two of these in crossfire flawlessly. they run very nice , a bit noisy but its to be expected.

Cons: I am replacing a ATI 4870x2 with these. I ran a 3d mark06 test and my crossfire only came out 2000 higher
4870x2 (21600) 6970x2 (23000) so i was a bit supprised, thought there would of been a bigger diff. tho they now can use dx11 ; )

Other Thoughts: i maybe should of waited but i got them very cheap, return, used markdown and i got em, from newegg. they work perfect and look awesome.
