The line between reality and fantasy is blurred with the ASUS GTX780-3GD5 VGA card. Based on the latest evolution of NVIDIA GPU - GTX 780, this card is built around 2304 CUDA cores with a gigantic 3GB/384bit GDDR5 memory. It produces amazingly beautiful graphics and lifelike environmental interaction in the hottest DirectX 11 game titles. You'll enjoy a new level of realism in your favorite FPS, RTS, MMORPG and RACING games. The ASUS-exclusive GPU Tweak utility enables you to extract more performance by tuning vital GPU parameters in real time. An array of advanced NVIDIA technology — including GPU BOOST 2.0, NVIDIA Adaptive V-Sync, NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround and NVIDIA PhysX — offers you more than one way to elevate your gaming experience.

  • newegg GPU Tweak Overclocking is made real-time and intuitive with ASUS GPU Tweak utility. It allows you to optimize clock speeds, voltage and fan speeds on up to four graphics cards independently or simultaneously. You can also select between GPU Tweak’s Standard or Advanced modes, depending on your level of experience. Monitoring widget provides real-time multi-parameter information. Detailed specs and actual card status are available with GPU-Z, which automatically checks and updates drivers and BIOS versions.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 Technology allows intelligent monitoring of clock speed. This ensures that the GPU runs at its peak, and that the game is at its highest framerate possible. It offers new levels of customization, including GPU temperature target, overclocking, and unlocked voltage.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760x1080, the expanded field of view fully engages your peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA PhysX Technology Full support for NVIDIA PhysX technology, which enables a new class of physical gaming interaction for a more dynamic GeForce experience.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to two times monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: This thing is the bee's knees. No driver problems being NVidia. Upgraded from SLI 680s. Yes I know I lost a some power but being a 2 bay card from 3 (6 bc of SLI) was worth every penny. Haven't had a game I can't play with max settings.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsDOA?

Pros: When it worked, this beast was able to play anything. Amazing graphics on BF4

Cons: After 2 and a half weeks, I began receiving "Display driver stopped responding and recovered"
This was when it was 331.65 nVidia drivers.
I reverted back to various drivers with same result. Now, my system no longer gives me the error message rather a hard crash/restart.

Other Thoughts: I've tried to troubleshoot to try and eliminate other potential issues besides the card. All efforts seem to be pointing to a dead card. I submitted an ASUS Support ticket and was only given a generic message to:
"Unfortunately to say it can't be directly judged which parts cause your issue.
If the issue appears after you have installed some software or hardware, please uninstall or remove them and check if it is helpful.
Please have a check if the new video card will work normally."

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, kind of high price.

Pros: As a PC builder that tends to stay within a certain budget or a few months behind high-end, newly released, I finally bit the bullet and decided to buy this along with my newly built PC.

Upgraded from a GTX 645, this new card is simply amazing in how beautiful the graphics look with all settings set to ultra, high, etc.

Cons: Within 2 1/2 weeks, the card has failed. Constantly getting "Display driver stopped working and recovered" messages. Was enjoying the card nicely until this point. RMA with newegg has been issued and I really hope I can get a replacement or at least some reasoning behind the problem.

Other Thoughts: I found it interesting how Newegg jacked up the price on this card, I'm sure in preparation of black friday to make it seem like it dropped. Bought it for $509 on Halloween

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing performance but EXPENSIVE

Pros: This thing is a monster. Chews up anything i throw at it and with style no less. Looks awesome, and with the latest drivers the LED "GEFORCE GTX" logo on the side can be manipulated to do a couple different effects.

Cons: Price is only thing. On paper the non reference cards perform better but the difference isnt that much but the price is the better part of $100 more expensive than a better performing version of the same card. Paying for aesthetics i guess.

Other Thoughts: Paired with an AMD FX-8350 OC'd to 4.5Ghz im getting 70FPS on Battlefield 4 cranked all the way up. So like i said its a beast but if you dont care about looks go with the cheaper non-reference cards since they perform better.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good, though one problem...

Pros: Very quiet, runs great, maxes out any game, very low power consumption.

Cons: Price, I believe that this card could be priced a little lower than what it is. Those are no major issues though. The only thing I had was that my Splinter Cell: Blacklist code didn't work. Also it seemed like it had been repacked in a new little bag (which I have never had a code come in before) so I think someone just bought it, used the code, gave it back, then I received it with a used code.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have the room. It's a great card and I love ASUS.

5 out of 5 eggs*Updated Review*

Pros: Corrected Review, my bug with hdmi TV is solved.
Still very high performance in every games, no issues in any games. This card is still silent. This is a really high quality product. I really like it and will stay a nvidia customer.

Cons: No cons. If you have tv detection problems using a home cinema receiver, try to plug your TV directly on the card.

Other Thoughts: Corrected Review, my bug with hdmi TV is solved. Plugued the second TV direct to the card. I was plugued by the home cinema receiver.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible card

Pros: This card is an awesome performer. Able to achieve high overclocks (1250/7000) with temps maxing in the mid-high 70's (custom fan profile). For reference, I'm using a single card in a Corsair Air 540 case.
The cooling fan is very quiet, and is only audible when the fan is at 60%. I'm a big silence-fanatic, so this mattered to me.

Cons: The card's box had the security tape broken, and the packaging was missing the SLI bridge and DVI adapter.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I went with the reference design is the fact that the cooler is being replaced by the XSPC GTX 780/Titan waterblock.
If I was to stick with air-cooling, I would have opted for the ASUS DirectCUII GTX780.

4 out of 5 eggsUltra performance

Pros: Ultra performance, ultra quiet, high quality construction. Games runs ultra smooth. Geforce Experience is cool it auto updates drivers automatically. Really high performance in games. Never seen my games as smooth before. I was using a high performance competitive product before.

Cons: Driver issues when using a TV connected to HDMI on this card. When power off then power on the TV the card send no signal. It's a driver issue. When using generic default windows driver there is no issue. No issue using a standard PC monitor.

Other Thoughts: Fast delivery, easy to install drivers and softwares.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Ultra performance, more silent than a 7970. Games are smoother than a 7970. Really, it makes a big difference. You have to see it to believe.

Cons: Lot of problems with LCD TV plugued in the hdmi connector. If i turn off then turn on the TV there is no picture. I have to deplug and replug dhmi cable then this card detect the tv and picture is shown. No problem with PC monitor. Only with TV. No issue like this with my 7970. Using a Windows 8 Live boot CD that doesn't have nvidia driver, i have no issue. So it's driver related. It seems that NVidia have drivers issue like AMD.... :o( Using whql 320.49.

Other Thoughts: Great card but some driver issues with HDMI TV. If you use a standard pc monitor it works.

It's frustrating that a 660$ card don't work with a simple 32" TVHD using a simple HDMI cable as it works on a cheaper radeon card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat high-end card

Pros: -Runs every game maxed out that I throw at it (@1080p)
-BF3 Ultra settings 100+fps (@1080p)
-Bioshock 2 maxed out 300+fps (@1080p)
-Tomb Raider [2013] maxed out, tressfx, tessellation, but fxaa 60+fps (@1080p)

Cons: -If you are looking for a more budget oriented card but still want great performance I recommend taking a look at the GTX 770 4GB edition.

-Doesn't take me to dinner.

Other Thoughts: I moved over from using AMD budget oriented cards and decided to spoil myself for once and bought this beast.
Runs great w/ my current build:
CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Processor
Motherboard - Asus Z87-PRO ATX LGA1150
Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws X 16GB DDR3-1600
GPU - GeForce GTX 780 3GB
SSD - Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB (x2)
PSU - Corsair 850W 80 PLUS Gold
Case - Cooler Master HAF X
HSF - Noctua NH-D14
