1 out of 5 eggsManufacturer no longer supports warranty

Pros: Worked great for 2 months, able to play Battlefield 2 and other games at high resolution.

Cons: It went dead and I cannot get the company to honor warranty. I have been in contact with them trying to get a replacemnt or refurbished unit. I have sent them all info and the lady who handles it cannot seem to get me an RMA number. She has told me she would and I have sent her all the information. Now no word and no response?

Other Thoughts: I have tried to get satisfaction directly but without luck. The newegg customer service number does not work any longer and reading the responses from others these things fail once and a while. If this card fails and you plan on continueing to use your computer you need to buy a new one and unfortunatly since I have only one PCI express computer mother board a replacement won't do me much good at this point. I have been trying for weeks to get a response will al lthe correct paperwork and pictures.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond review

Pros: Check my first review

Cons: Died exactly 5 months after purchased! I guess this card isn't meant to run 24/7... at idle unless gaming.

Other Thoughts: The manufacturer was a bit confusing on the e-mail regarding the RMA process for this card. Still waiting for a real fix for this problem. It was a really good card while it lasted.

5 out of 5 eggs1 year+ and still going

Pros: I've had this card for over a year now with no problems. Runs all the games I have on high. Runs game like BF2, HL2,Black and white 2 at around 100 fps or higher.

Cons: It run extremely hot. On idle it runs at 55 - 60 C*. At load expect it to easily get up to 75 - 80 C*.
The stock cooler is just awful, once I replaced it, it ran at 31 C idle and 40 C at load. If you do buy this card, buy a GPU cooler along with it.

Other Thoughts: Gordon Freedman need a better flash light.seriously!

2 out of 5 eggsFried after 4 months

Pros: Good specs for the price, worked great for about three months...

Cons: Completely fried after three months. My system kept locking up after about 5 minutes... Figured it was the card; swapped this one out for my 5-year-old 4200ti, and no problems. Doesn't seem I'm the only one with this problem, either. Personally, I'll be staying away from Leadtek in the future.

Other Thoughts: None

3 out of 5 eggsLasted almost 4 months!

Pros: About 20,000 in 3DMark2001SE and plays OTA HD TV on Windows Media Center smoothly at 1920x1200 resolution.

Cons: Invoice date is 4/13/2007. Today is 8/6/2007. The card stopped working at about 8/2/2007.

I still did not receive the rebate of about $20.

Took about two PCI Express slots and had to buy a PCI version of tuner card.

Other Thoughts: I thought I would get more than 20,000 in 3DMark2001SE with this card and Core 2 Duo. An ATI 9600 Mobility would get about 9,500 with a P4.

1 out of 5 eggsNo more LeadTek

Pros: I use to be a big fan of Leadtek and have had several AGP cards.

Cons: The newest LeadTek cards seem to be highly prone to failure.

Here is the story...
- Build new system for my office with a LeadTek PX7900GS card
- LeadTek PX7900GS dies after a few weeks
- Order LeadTek PX7950GT card and return LeadTek PX7900GS
- Put LeadTek PX7950GT card in office system.

- Build second system for home.
- Put replacement LeadTek PX7900GS in home system
- LeadTek PX7900GS dies after a couple weeks
- Order LeadTek PX8600GTS card and return LeadTek PX7900GS
- Put LeadTek PX8600GTS card in home system. Works with Windows desktop but screen fills with interference with games.
- Put 2nd LeadTek PX7900GS replacement in home system
- Order EVGA brand 8600GTS
- Put EVGA 8600GTS in home system and it works fine. Put LeadTek PX7900GS in friends' system.
- Returning LeadTek PX8600GTS for replacement

2 out of 5 eggsLame!

Pros: It Works With the Hacintosh rather nicely too!

Cons: It's as Slow as any other milked market component for the PC...

Other Thoughts: I find it amazing how Nvidia can pull the plug on SLI support for 975x and other intel chipsets. while claiming these chipsets are underneath them in terms of performance while nvidia is right behind them making the junk just as crippled in PCIe Bandwidth. MONOPOLY MONEY! GET SOME! SWIM IN IT! Watch it Burn....
