1 out of 5 eggsNot a fan

Pros: Ran fine for two years, not overclocked

Cons: After two years, the card started to give me all kinds of weird graphic errors. I sent it off to Leadtek's US office in the Bay Area and it then must have been sent to Taiwan/China, did not get replaced but repaired - had the same serial number when it returned. Worked for another year when it went dead again. Trashed it and bought an EVGA card which is still running fine.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from Leadtek, go for an EVGA card instead - they are also US based and have stellar customer service.

5 out of 5 eggswonderful device

Pros: post use review. this was a wonderful card, never overclocked it and it ran everything up until now. would now be considered low end. but the only problem I had with it was its fan died about 6 months before warrenty was out. got that fixed and it was just like nothing ever happened.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: now dead, and all I have right now to replace it with is something that gets about half the framerate even though it is supposed to be better...Piece of .... ATI video card. that all the tech specs says it should be better...

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Customer Service

Pros: The card is fast-when it works.

Cons: I've been trying to get my defective card replaced from Leadtek since June. It's been sent to them and "repaired" 5 times now despite them promising to send a new one.

Other Thoughts: The cheaper price is not worth it if you get a defective card and have to deal with their RMA system. I still don't have a working card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat video card

Pros: Really good value for price vs performace. Worked great straight out of the box with updated drivers from nVidia.

Cons: Large size. Had to remove the tool free clips from my case and install it the old fashioned way.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet card

Pros: Very powerfull!!! The price is good for its bracket. It is really cool looking and heavy.

Cons: Not a cheep card. The fan is loud and dosn't move much air but dose the job, I guess.

Other Thoughts: New Egg Rocks!!! I have had Oblivion running at max settings and running for 2-3 hours stright with no slowdown what so ever. My rez was 1366/768 (max for my monitor).

Vista64, EVGA mobo 122-CK-NF68-A1 N680i, Q6600, 4G patriot mem, a WD 150 Raptor, 1 Leadtec 8800GTS 640 and so on.

4 out of 5 eggsLEADTEK 8800gts

Pros: Fast card gained 12000 in 3dmark o3 over my 7800gt could be more but i think my athlon 4000 has it bottlenecked.

Cons: HOT!!! was running from 65-70c under load and thats with 6 fans in my case!

Other Thoughts: Did some modding on case now has 120mm fan blowing on card and added another exaust fan and temps dropped to 53-58c under load (better have good cooling)

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Mother of Pixels

Pros: Fast, the only game I've seen a slowdown in has been Company of Heroes in DX10 mode with everything on "Ultra" (AA also) @ 1680x1050 and I blame that on my e2160 budget CPU and generally poor DX10 performance so far. DX9 games cannot even phase this card.

Cons: Large, very large, had to move my hard drive. DX10 IMO is still beta quality, I see a noticeable detail improvement in CoH but the performance hit is unacceptable so far.

Other Thoughts: A quick 8% overclock of GPU core and memory with nTune produced a perceptible performance increase and no stability/artifact issues. Gonna shoot for 12%.

2 out of 5 eggsOnly slightly broken?

Pros: The heatsink on the card looks like it could take flight... Awesome.

Cons: The card was awfully spotty on working, sometimes it would display a picture, sometimes it would completely not work, sent it in for RMA, I should get a response soon.

Other Thoughts: The box the card came in is white and pretty small (Compared to my "old" 7800 box sitting in my closet). In my opinion, the box should be a LOT larger, and a darker color with a cooler picture on the front.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: It handles everything perfectly well

Cons: it's like a black hole sucking the power out of your computer, and it heats it pretty fast. plus, it's super fat and long

Other Thoughts: most if not all geforce 8s's have the above cons
