Best DirectX 10 card for under 100 dollars
- Pros: You can't get a much better deal then this. An Nvidia Geforce 8600GT with GDDR3 for under 100 bucks.
- Cons: The only drawback to this card is the semi high stock temps, which will prob limit your OC, but what do you expect for under 100 bucks.
- Other Thoughts: Great value for a mid-range grphics card. If you are a mild gamer but want decent preofrmance and are on a budget, then this card is def worth a look.
Affordable, bonus free game
- Pros: Didn't see it in listing, rcvd today and saw the box has free copy of Joint Task Force game(also advertised on leadtek site), looks like a copper heatsink too. Doesn't require auxiliary power connection. Heatsink very securely attached via 4 spring-loaded screws. Could not see a gap between heatsink and GPU chip, good contact made.
- Cons: Leadtek site confirms RAM is 700MHz (aka 1400 Mhz DDR), should not be advertising 200Mhz. Noticed heatsink only has contact with the GPU chip, does not touch the RAM or other card components at all. Only has 1 yr warranty from manufacturer.
- Other Thoughts: For under 100 bucks is great deal for a reference design 8600GT. Free JTF game was a nice surprise. Shorter warranty than XFX or BFG for sure, but you pay a little bit more for them because of their longer warranty.

Stay away from leatek!!!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Worst customer service ever. Card died on me at about 2 months in, so I sent it in for an rma. This was a month and half ago and I still have not received a word if they are even going to send me a new card. Most of the time they never email me back and if they do the service rep knows very little english and keeps asking me to send in my card when I already have and keep having to explain this.
- Other Thoughts: I tried to save a few bucks by picking this up when it was cheaper than the rest of the 8600GTs, in the end it wasn't worth it. Honestly I will never buy another leadtek product in my life. Do yourself a favor and don't buy any leadtek products unless you want a huge headache.
Good for the price
- Pros: Runs older games great and runs newer games fine at lower settings. Overclocks well.
- Cons: Kinda expensive for an 8600gt (I bought when it was a lot cheaper). 128-bit memory bus struggles in newer games.
- Other Thoughts: This card is fine for what I do. Paired it with an Accelero S2 and I got the core to 660 and memory to 800. Probably could go a lot further with some vcore mods. Was a pretty good deal when I got it but now I would spend the extra $50 for a better card now that prices have gon down.
Great low end upgrade
- Pros: Drop in to a previous NVIDA setup and the card started up without changing anything. Much faster than the GF4 that it replaced. Not all systems need the fastest cards. Picture editing and older games are much better in this card.
- Cons: None.
