5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: NO fan, and doesn't seem to get really hot.. runns most of my games really well. Playing Counter Strike and city of heroes with no hiccups on full settings.

Cons: very large heat sink. doesnt take up two slots but is is very wide. It fit in mt lian li case but make sure you case is plent wide before using this card.. mine is about 8" wide

Other Thoughts: if you dont want fan noise or an 8800 but still want SLI, buy this card

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Silent, runs WoW at maximum settings, doesn't take up the whole case

Cons: Needs a case with good airflow since it's passively cooled.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card, My Second one.

Pros: My second card of this type. I like the fanless if you have the space. Good speeds and games look great in 1440x1050.

Cons: Gets hot over the gpu, I bought an exhaust fan to place over the heat-sync.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend the item N82E16814150229 instead. First one crashed allot, until nVidia updated the nv4_dll. I payed $150, but now they are cheaper, and the XfX has better stats.

4 out of 5 eggsThe cooling system is LARGE

Pros: Solid looking card

Cons: The cooling system on this sticks out a little too far for the case I tried to put it in (Antec Solution Series NSK2400)

Other Thoughts: I did not get to actually use the card in the system beyond the point of putting it in and realizing that the case would not physically close...

1 out of 5 eggswent from 6600gt to 8600 gt

Pros: none other than direct x 10

Cons: I have been using a geforce 6600gt and upgraded to the 8600gt. While playing Titan Quest and using frap to see frame rates I noticed no real diffrence other than say a slight 10 percent increace in performence when using the 8600 gt I had to laugh and then return product Toms hardware will somewhat backup my results DOnt waste your money get the 8800 gts 320 stomps the others and is well priced

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, Sweet and Silent

Pros: When buying this video card I wanted to push the limits as far as I could without having to add a noisy fan to my system (HP m8000n Media Center PC). I also wanted to keep my stock 300w PSU (18 amp) installed. This card is as powerful as I could go given my requirements. The silence on this Gigabyte is golden! I bought a Thermaltake Smart Fan (90mm) to replace my stock rear fan to allow me to turn up the RPMs when playing games. In Windows Vista the card runs at 67 C / 152 F with the rear fan on high, and about 74/165 with the fan on medium (1300 RPM I think). When playing Age of Empires III with nearly everything on high and at 1280x1024 res the heat rose to 95/203 with my 90mm fan on high. The included V-Tuner 3 tweak utility is awesome - I like cranking down the default 2D/3D/Mem clock speeds (600/600/720) to 540/540/700 (NVidia reference for 8600 GT) or lower while not gaming.

Cons: Heat sink adds about an inch length onto the card. Extra heat can warm up the room.

Other Thoughts: All around great card! Can't wait to try it on Enemy Territory Quake Wars coming out next month.

4 out of 5 eggsCapable and Quiet

Pros: Quiet card that has not generated a lot of heat. I installed the card in a new build with Vista and since I don't do any gaming I wanted to avoid a fan. I liked that the board came with DirectX 10 and since I am using a P35 Gigabyte Motherboard as well I decided to stay with the same brand for the video card. No heat or sound issues at this time.

Cons: After three weeks of running I am starting to get a warning from Vista that my video is not responding but that it has been repaired...this seems to be more of an issue with the driver but there have been no updates to my video driver since the installation...see what happens when the driver is updated.

Other Thoughts: Great service as usual from Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsinexpensive dx10 card

Pros: Very good performance for the money. Works well under Vista. No cooling fan [yay!].

Cons: none really considering the price. if you want a 'state of the art' card, prepare to spend 3 times the amount this card costs

5 out of 5 eggsThe Silent Pipe

Pros: it's perfectly silent, ideal for HTPCs, takes only a single slot, and doesn't require extra power. output to HDTV and VGA are clean and crisp through the provided adapters. i haven't installed the game yet, but i've heard it pretty good too.

Cons: it feels pretty warm to the touch, but it's built with solid capacitors so there shouldn't be much risk of blowing a cap.

Other Thoughts: i think i would have liked to have seen a DVI-HDMI adapter included instead of the second DVI-VGA adapter, most things VGA are getting phased out now anyway.

5 out of 5 eggsNice simple design

Pros: This product drives my new Dell E520N along with a Dell 2407wfp. It fits in the dell btx board but just barely (it touches the plastic cpu case). Pros includes: this card is already factory overclocked, one of the few cards out there that's passively cooled and takes up a single slot.

Cons: It runs at a constant 62C at an ambient 70F room temperature.
