1 out of 5 eggsDidn't get a rebate.

Pros: Decent Card.

Cons: The fan failed after three weeks. Nearly destroyed the card.

Other Thoughts: I ordered this product in November of 2010. I haven't received the mail in rebate and that was 8 months ago.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome (if you OC)

Pros: This card is very good; I have tripled the power of this card by OC'n just by using the stock HSF. Also very small GPU for the power. I forget which 3Dmark test I did without OC but I received a test score of about 10fps average, OC'd and went up to 64fps+

Cons: There are no cons

1 out of 5 eggsJust sucks right out of box

Pros: It looks cool, thats it.

Cons: Terrible noisy, man what a jet! Don't like this leaf blower graphic card in my rig at all.

Other Thoughts: Had to spend $10 to replace manufactures fan so 1egg is overkill for this product. Gigabyte make great product, but FAIL on this one. Also their rebate is a scam been about three moth now and not even email confirmation, nothing.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plays on a 1080p monitor all the games that I throw at it without a hitch.

Cons: Fan was really loud until it finally died, had to replace fan after about 7 months.

5 out of 5 eggsGT240

Pros: Got this unit for a low price build for a friend, and I would say it run on par with the 9600GT to 9800GT without the need for a large PSU or six pin power cord.
This is the card to get because of the use of the GDDR5 ram I have it at a small overclock and it doses great! No problem will temp I turned the fan down its plenty big!

Cons: N/A

1 out of 5 eggsGreat card, but the noise ruins it

Pros: Great performance. Doesn't need power connectors. Perfect for a dedicated physx card. Stays cool. Good price. Gigabyte has provided newer bios options. Comes with a black fan shroud instead of the pictured white one, which looks better in my opinion.

Cons: LOUD. UNBELIEVABLY LOUD. I am an enthusiast with a heck of a lot high RPM fans in my case, but I can hear this above them all.

I flashed this card to the latest bios which drops the minimum fan RPM from 50% to 29% but it didn't change the noise at all.

I customized the bios and flashed again. Even at only 20% of its max speed, the fan can still be heard. It is so darn loud.

Doesn't come with the latest bios installed. Which means using a bootable usb drive and NVFlash to flash a new bios to the card.
I cannot imagine an average user figuring out how to flash a vga bios. Common Gigabyte, make it easy on your customers and just give them the latest bios pre-flashed.

Other Thoughts: Tomorrow I'm probably going to pull this card out, take the fan off of the heatsink and just strap a spare 120mm or 80mm case fan to it. I just can't take the noise any longer.

I really really love the performance. I'm using it for a hybrid physx setup with a xfx HD 4890 and it runs Arkham Asylum physx great, but even with the sounds of the game I can still hear the fan.

Again, let me emphasize that I am completely thrilled with the performance of the card.

If the fan was quiet I would immediately rate this as a 5 egg card.... The loss of 3 eggs should give you an idea of how loud the fan is.

I'll point out again that it is the fan. Even at only 20% it is as loud as my 4890 at 100% fan speed.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: Pretty low price, HDMI, DVI, and VGA ports, not too large, runs quiet and cool.

Cons: None considering the price

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace my 9500GT on my HTPC. Not sure how well the HDMI works because I use DVI (same resolution, cheaper cable). Running W7 64-bit and have noticed that my Blu-Rays look a little more crisp and smooth and Aero is more responsive as well. I don't play games on PC, so I can't comment on that aspect of this card, but this card is prefect for an HTPC and it won't break the bank.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but needs minimun 450w. PSU

Pros: DDR5, solid state caps, big fan, works well overall, but...

Cons: ... if you don't use a minimum 450w power supply, you'll get brownouts. Ran with 350w and got sudden shutdowns. Installed on another machine with a 550w. psu - wonderful.

My other three machines run an XFX 240 GT card, which perform to spec on a minimum of a 350w. psu.

Other Thoughts: Just use common sense. If you're a heavy gamer or running a 40" + 1080 screen, get a gig of memory. 512 is fine for less demand.

3 out of 5 eggsOk

Pros: Better than my 8400GT

Cons: Fan is soooo noisy. Even BIOS update did nothing to lower noise

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, I am limited on VID choices as my 3 y/o PSU of 650E dose not have 22Amp rails. I am so glad that my next build will allow me to use the new Intels with On-dye GPU and then less worry about fan noise or how new my PSU is. Bye-bye to NVIDIA and ATI

1 out of 5 eggsDo not waste your time

Pros: Nice looking card, seems like solidly built.

Cons: Very sub-par performance, overheats easily, runs MUCH slower than the 9500GT I'm writing this review with. A REAL disappointment here...

Other Thoughts: I'm a big fan of Gigabyte products and have been building systems for about 20 yrs.
