4 out of 5 eggsHDMI audio?

Pros: This is a pretty good, cheap card. It is much faster than my old one, and supports my 1920/1200 res monitor fairly well, Linux compatible.

Cons: There is some screen tearing during video playback.

Other Thoughts: The card claims to come with a motherboard audio cable to provide HDMI audio, but mine did not seem to have one. I probable misplaced it or something. Don't plan on using HDMI, so not a con.

5 out of 5 eggsWORKS

Pros: Works with debian linux. Also is low profile and comes with bracket. Can use this card for any monitor connection. Has covers for the connections so you can leave them in place for the ones your not useing.

Cons: You loose vga if you got low profile.

Other Thoughts: Have not tested hdmi on a tv. I do know that Windows 7 64bit and ubuntu look great using hdmi. Wish it had S-video too so this card could be used for an ultimate htpc.

5 out of 5 eggsGood.

Pros: It works and its cheap.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I used this to replace the graphics card that went out in a friends computer. Its not for high end use just everyday work and video watching.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet pricing!

Pros: Cost, DDR3 memory, low profile, and fan!

Cons: Not 512 on the card itself!

Other Thoughts: I had to call customer support due to the card reverting back to the lowest resolution when the computer was restarted or shut down. Turns out I had to uninstall the driver, and download their latest driver from a couple weeks ago. Apparently this was an issue! But both are working great now and are hooked up HDMI cable to 32" LCD Televisions. Great picture and great little card for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Inexpensive card

Pros: Inexpensive. Does the trick. Nothing fancy, it just works.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Just needed a low end card to get video on a computer with no onboard video. If you want to run World of Warcraft on high settings this isn't going to do the trick. This is not a gaming card.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card if you don't need HDMI audio.

Pros: Cheap, HDMI works like a champ.

Cons: HDMI Audio doesn't work with the SPDIF cable (which doesn't come with it, I had to get a separate one) at all. There is a two pin lead which appears to be the correct one, and I tried connecting it in all sorts of manifestations, backwards and forwards, and never got an audio signal through. I know the SPDIF out works though because I connect a coax spdif to it and attach it to my receiver and it works just fine. This was the whole reason I bought the card so I guess next time I'll go for one with an integrated audio controller.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but...

Pros: This card is really affordable, and it's even pretty quiet despite having a fan. Comes with HDMI and a low-profile bracket for slim-line HTPC cases (see cons). Image quality seems good. Should be good for an HTPC under the right conditions (see other thoughts)

Cons: No sound over HDMI from the card. To get sound through HDMI, you must use an SPDIF pass through cable connected from the 8400GS to your soundcard/motherboard (which is not included even though the manual implies that it is). My motherboard doesn't have an SPDIF header, so I can't take advantage of the simplicity of an HDMI connection. If you use the low-profile bracket, you lose VGA. It will take a pretty big hack to get it to work, since the VGA plug cable is too short to reach the back of the case.

Other Thoughts: Just be warned about the HDMI/sound issue, which apparently is quite common on nVidia cards with HDMI (ATI cards with HDMI usually have an integrated audio processor for sound capabilities). You must have an SPDIF plug on your motherboard or sound card to get digital audio over your HDMI connection. Without it, you'll have to find other hacks to run audio to your HDTV. Could be a real surprise if you aren't ready for it.

4 out of 5 eggsBest on Market for Price

Pros: What else can u get that is HD for $30.00? Along with 512mb including a fan?

Cons: Sorta weak software but all low end gfx cards have this with them. I think this is actuall a 128mb card but 512 with O.C. All around seems to be a 512 card.
You also cannont O.C. too high or it will freeze your screen out with many colors and you will have to restart pc by the power button.

Other Thoughts: You also cannont O.C. too high or it will freeze your screen out with many colors and you will have to restart pc by the power button

Cons: open-box, wouldn't had minded it if it was stated open box

Other Thoughts: also on the manuel it stated s/pdif cable is included but no where to be found
