Ultra Durable VGA card reduces voltage ripples in normal and transient state, thus effectively lowers noises and achieves 10% to 30% increase in overclocking capability. Ultra Durable VGA board allows more bandwidth for electron passage and reduces circuit impedance. The less circuit impedance, the more stable flow of current which can effectively improve power efficiency, lowering power switching loss by 10% to 30%.
  • newegg WindForce 2X Anti-turbulence-Parallel inclined WINDFORCE 2X parallel-inclined fin design is equipped with 2 ultra quiet PWM fans and two copper heat pipes to enlarge air channel on the graphics card vents and creates a more effective airflow system in chassis.

2 out of 5 eggsCard worked great no lifespan

Pros: *Played games on very high settings
*Little to no lag
*High processing and memory as an affordable price

Cons: Card did not last very long. Starting to fail with a little over a years use very disappointing because i can no longer replace it for free yet these things happen i guess. I would say it would be worth the asking price but i expected a lot longer than 1 year.

Other Thoughts: Card was used for my first custom PC build. The cause of it inevitable demise is unknown to me I've followed all procedures that i knew of when installing and handling the equipment.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor RMA service

Pros: Card works great, price/performance was great, near silent when running properly... It was a great card when it was working properly.

Cons: I bought two of these cards and used them in crossfire for a little over a year before one card's fan started to fail. I RMA'd it and when I got it back found the fan was still not working properly. I had to RMA it again. I just got around to installing the twice RMA'd video card to hear the fan buzzing loudly at a visibly lower rpm than it's partner fan onboard the same card.

Other Thoughts: I'll never go with Gigabyte products again due to their inability to fix a problem through the RMA process, which is a shame for them since my next upgrade will see me spending $500+ on a non Gigabyte motherboard and video card(s).

5 out of 5 eggsOoooppps!!

Pros: Excellent card for most 3d games!

Cons: My lack of spare parts to properly trouble-shoot before pointing the finger at the video card.

Other Thoughts: I wrote a review recently blaming GIGABYTE for a bad card causing my system to crash during 3d gaming. They offered to replace the card, but it turns out that the hard drive was going bad and would initially only cause blue screens during gaming. After a format and new install it crash more and more frequently. Now with a new drive there are no more problems! Sorry Gigabyte for the dissing!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price

Pros: I got this on a November sale to replace an old 8600GT. Well worth it.

I can play at 1920x1080 with little or no changes to settings and just using a 'lowly' Intel Core i3 530. Games run well enough for me that I have no need to mess with overclocking settings.

Pick your port: 2x DVI, DP, & HDMI

It's very quiet from what I'm used to. The 6850 maxed out is still quieter than my 8600GT at idle.

When needed I can run three monitors at once. I find myself running a video on the left monitor, playing a game in the center, and a browser window on the right.

Cons: Three monitor setup must use the displayport (i.e., DVI-DVI-HDMI setup will not work). None of my monitors have a DP port and I had to get an active DP-DVI adapter.

Sometimes after playing a game for awhile the cursor will look glitchy. It seems to be a common issue on AMD/ATI cards.

Other Thoughts: Mailed the rebate in December, got e-mail confirmation in January, got the rebate card in March.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor warranty support

Pros: Amazing detail and very quiet

Cons: Lasted almost a year then during 3d gaming started getting blue screens. Tried to resolve with tech suppot emails but had to rma. Spent $15 to mail it priority. They updated firmware, called it okay and shipped it back 3 weeks later. No info in package as to what they did or found, had to call. I was going to buy another to crossfir, glad I didn't! Hope my gigabyte motherboard lasts longer.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast!

Pros: This is a beast of a card. its factory OCed and can be pushed even farther. got mine to almost 6870 specs. this thing handles every game i throw at it (BL2, SCII, Skyrim, WOW) with relative ease. my system is well cooled and my card never exceeds 55degC and usually sits at around 48-51 when gaming. the windforce cooler dominates heat and is never louder than my case fans (silver stone ap-121, aerocool shark 140's) No issues with installation or drivers or anything like that. i get at least 50 fps at all times @ 1920x1200 on the games i listed above.

Cons: i cant really thing of any. not as efficient as a 7xxx series card but any decent power supply will be fine for this guy

Other Thoughts: great card but will probably be obsolete soon when ATI comes out with the 8000 series cards but i was bored at work so if this helps anybody then ...Hell Yeah!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU card wish i could buy another one right now

Pros: It could play every game on high. Games being Star Wars The Old Republic, Stacraft 2, Just Cause 2, Skyrim, Dishonored, Planetside 2 (planetside 2 is a maybe because of the scale that has to be processed since its a free to play MMO shooter and make sure you have 64-bit installed or running when you play), Borderlands 1 & 2, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, WoW, Fallout New Vegas. Also, this is a big card - a 2 slotter on your case. The heatsink keeps it cool and also its quiet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There has been a rattle coming from my case and I'm not sure if its a case fan or its fans

2 out of 5 eggsGreat card, kinda

Pros: I bought two to use in Crossfire and the price/performance ratio was awesome. The fans stayed silent for a while. One card still has no problems so far.

Cons: One card had a faulty fan. I RMA'd and it got the card back but immediately noticed the fan problem wasn't fixed. It didn't quite spin freely. I figured the RMA guys just put some grease in the bearing and called it good. I figured it was better than when I sent it in so I installed the card a couple days ago. Today the fan is making a whining noise and looking at the fan spinning from the side, it's wobbling and I'm guessing about to fail. What a disappointment. I really wanted to like Gigabyte but their RMA job was a total waste of time. Next time I'll spend the extra couple bucks on a company that gives a flip. I'm already spending that money on sending the card in for an RMA and then having to wait for it to get back.

Other Thoughts: I guess I'll be RMA'ing this again out of my own pocket since that's the only help the customer service rep offered. Thanks a lot, guy. If you're lucky enough not to get a faulty fan you should be fine. Otherwise, spend your money on a company that does a good job at repairing the problem you sent the card in for. My previous card was an EVGA 9800 GTX+. My next purchase will probably be another EVGA.
