1 out of 5 eggsDissapointing

Pros: It's made by Gigabyte and it's an available Radeon 6950.

Cons: Like stated previously it's not the factory overclocked GIGABYTE GV-R695OC-1GD which is really disappointing to me because I own the factory overclocked version of this card and was hoping to pick up another one for crossfire since I have the GIGABYTE GV-R695OC-1GD overclocked to 950MHz with all 1536 shaders unlocked...

Other Thoughts: The fact that it's not factory overclocked is worrying to me because it would indicate that the Cayman GPUs used for these cards are most likely the GPUs that didn't pass the original shader and core clock speed stress tests to verify if they could run at the factory overclock of 870MHz like the original card. Also, this card's BIOS is probably locked so you won't be able to enable all 1536 shaders like I and most other GIGABYTE GV-R695OC-1GD owners could.

Don't buy this. Buy the Gigabyte 7850 instead. It's overclocked from 860MHz to 975MHz and significantly faster than this card at its stock frequency.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: none for the price

Cons: not the same as the identical card they were selling before , if you look at model number you will see that is has changed , the original board was called "GIGABYTE GV-R695OC-1GD" and ot was facttory overclocked at 870mhz , this one is 800mhz . And yet the price tag is the same as the original !!!

3 out of 5 eggsEh...it worked!?!

Pros: This card runs cool and easily fits in my midtower, i have an extra 1.5cm even with it installed it is long!!Looks sick and I like the blue and the triple fans. Fits with my gigabyte motherboard and just looks awesome. Runs every game almost on max!

Cons: I don't think I'm allowed to make references to other brands but just saying I would choose the 570 over this. I've had artifacts problem and buzzing noise from whatever it is. I got it returned through newegg for another and its been working better but I still get random appcrashes when it gets too stressed out. It isn't very stable for me. I also get stuttering when I'm playing games like bf3 if the game isn't running alone. Even some simple music player will create stuttering. doesn't bother me much though

Other Thoughts: i like the 3 or 5 year warranty! gigabyte customer service is decent just hard to talk to people in Taiwan

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card!

Pros: Runs cool and quiet. 37C idle <60C max. Fast! Running GPU @ 900MHz and memory @ 1325MHz. Benchmarks 3D Mark 11 the same as 6970 for $100.00 less. No problems at all.

Cons: Big size..11" had to remove internal fan shroud in Ant 900 to make room for it.

Other Thoughts: Software modded from 1408 to 1536 shaders with no problem. Search for 6950 to 6970 unlock on line and just do the shaders change. Seems like every manufacturer makes bad boards somtimes. 100% OC inspections just cost too much I suppose.

5 out of 5 eggsFreken Cool n Quiet

Pros: So Far its GREAT, extremely quiet and stays very cool. Handles all the games i've tried: Battlefield 3 , BFBC2, COD MW 2, MW3, and much more.

Cons: No Dual BIOS

Other Thoughts: I know some people have unlocked there HD 6950s to 6970, DO NOT do this with this card, it only has 1 BIOS compared to others that have a dual BIOS setup.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price - Very good price for the performance.
Quite - The fan is relatively quite at low speed and the cooling keeps the card very cool. Although it's not as good as some of the high end after market cooling solution, the cooling on this card is still quite good.

Cons: The opening on the back really isn't doing anything useful; I sealed it to prevent dust from coming inside the case. The cooling design could be better by actually using the opening to blow hot air out instead of pulling in cool air from there.
The length of the card may also be a concern to some people with smaller cases--like mid size. My server size case has just enough space for it.

Other Thoughts: Overall a very good value card. The cooling needs a little design improvement, but the three fan cooling should still be better than other two fans and one fans; more fans means each fan only needs to spin at a low speed to provide the same air flow, hence quieter. The card may be too long and too narrow depending on what cases you have.

5 out of 5 eggsVery overclockable, great card

Pros: As the first reviewer stated, install the card and latest drivers and you're good to go. I went with this card as an upgrade to my Gigabyte HD 5830 to get better FPS out of my eyefinity setup and its exactly what I was looking for. I was average around 30 fps with my HD 5830 at 5760x1080. Now, I don't see anything less than 48-50 fps with games like BC2 and Crysis 2 maxed out.

Very easy to overclock through CCC. I am up to 845mhz core & 1325mhz memory. Fan set to around 80% while gaming. So far I have not had any glitching or crash issues.

This is the card to go with if you dont want to spend $250+ and demand good FPS at high res. It is truly makes my HD 5830 look like a dinosaur.

Cons: Its friggin huge!! I had to move a HD down a slot to make it fit in my Lian Li ATX Mid tower. Make sure you have space for a gigantic GPU. Other than the size and weight I cant complain for the performance vs price.

Other Thoughts: I usually shop Newegg however the jungle website had it at the same price w. free shipping so I had to do it. sorry guys I still love you :)
