More power is at your disposal now! The GIGABYTE GV-N570SO-13I video card employs a GeForce GTX 570 GPU, which is factory overclocked at a colossal 845MHz. More power means more heat. In order to solve this problem, this video card is armed with an advanced thermal solution.

The GeForce GTX 570 GPU is based on the groundbreaking Fermi architecture, which makes the most of award-wining graphics techniques such as DirectX11 Tessellation, Physics Simulations, and Raytracing. Enjoy realistic graphics with smoother curves, physically simulated effects, and accurate lighting effects. You can even expand the realistic graphics across multiple displays to create a panoramic view in 3D games.

  • newegg Enjoy overclocking excitement right out of box Get a HUGE boost in rendering and computing performance. The GIGABYTE GV-N570SO-13I is factory overclocked at 845MHz, which is 113MHz higher than the reference card. No more annoying tweaks to overclock your graphics card.
  • newegg Complemented by an advanced thermal solution Even when the action heats up, the GPU’s temperature will be kept in check. The heatsink over the PCB will effectively conduct the heat generated by the GPU. Over the heatsink are three fans to further push the heat out.
  • newegg Built for DirectX 11 Tessellation Tessellation delivers a new breakthrough in 3D realism. It is the central feature of DirectX 11, and is used in critically acclaimed games. With an enormous amount of geometry packed in the scene, tessellation enables a wide range of visual effects that have previously been out of reach, such as organic characters with perfectly smooth curves, super fine surface detail such as thorns, nail and skin aberrations, vast terrain rendering with complex geometric detail, and dynamic level of detail with seamless transitions. The GeForce GTX 570 GPU is based on NVIDIA’s revolutionary Fermi architecture, and performs tessellation across up to multiple parallel engines for unrivaled tessellation performance.
  • newegg PhysX PhysX is the only physics engine that taps into the power of the GPU for physics computation. Used by the ubiquitous Unreal Engine, PhysX has been at the forefront in bringing physically simulated effects to games. In order to complement the doubled number of CUDA cores (over the prior generation), the Fermi includes a new cache architecture to offer enormous bandwidth on-chip. As a result, Physics simulations with over a hundred thousand particles can be achieved in real time.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround dramatically expands both the depth and width of the gaming experience. NVIDIA 3D Vision combines high-tech wireless 3D glasses and advanced software that automatically transforms your PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. It breathes new life into classic titles. When NVIDIA 3D Vision is extended to surround mode, the game can be played across multiple monitors, enabling a vast field of view.
  • newegg Realtime Raytracing Ray tracing produces images with perfect reflections and refractions, accurate shadows, and photorealistic lighting. Thanks to Fermi’s advanced compute architecture, the GeForce GTX 570 GPU is able to perform raytracing in realtime. For even higher visual realism, the GPU can also perform pathtracing for true global illumination. The results are images so refined that they are indistinguishable from scenes in computer-generated films.

1 out of 5 eggsRan great, for a while...

Pros: For the 8 months this card performed as advertised

Cons: This card ran great for the first 8 months that I had it except occasionally I noticed my machine would boot without video. I could rectify the issue by re-seating which wasn't the end of the world but pretty annoying thing to have to do on a weekly basis. A few weeks later it got so bad that I was lucky if I could get video from the card once every couple weeks. This is very disappointing because I feel in love with this card until I ran into these issues, I can't even RMA this piece of junk so I am now left with dead $400.00 hunk of metal and plastic. I'm so frustrated with this entire experience......

Other Thoughts: Would have given this card a 5/5 if it lasted more than a few months.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Cards

Pros: For the first few months it was a nice card.

Cons: At the 7 month mark the fan on the left next to the ports starting making a terrible noise. It was intermittent at first, then became a "standard" sound on boot / resume from sleep. Sometimes the noise would stop within 15 seconds. Then it took longer, about 30 seconds. Then it ramped up to being 1 minute or longer without human intervention.

At the 9 month mark I started having the "no POST" or "blank video" issue, forcing me to dig into my tiny computer case to reseat the **** card.

EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

Other Thoughts: The Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC that I bought shortly before this one for a different build is flawless and has never had a problem. The GTX 570 is just terrible. Stay away.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: BOINC measures it at twice the GFLOPS as my older GTX260.

Cons: The fans, which are attached to a heat source (<-emphasis), are made of low melting point plastic. One of the three fans on my card simply melted off and the one next to it is going mushy.

Besides this error that demonstrates an incompetent manufacturer, this card doesn't even perform that well in the games that I play and I don't even play the 'latest and greatest'.

Other Thoughts: Video cards are one of the most expensive parts in a computer and I expect them to run until the technology is obsolete. This manufacturer chose the wrong plastic for a critical part, which I think is a pretty basic engineering consideration, and I won't buy from them in the foreseeable future.

I would like to continue using what's left of this card, but apparently they did such a bad job of standardizing it that I can't even find an application that is capable of communicating with it to manually spin the remaining fans faster to compensate for the missing one.

It runs at about 207F and probably won't last the rest of the week.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: This card is amazing. I have a SLI setup with the reference Gigabyte GTX 570 which has a waterblock and its own loop. On air this card gives my liquid cooled card a run for its money and can clock much higher than it. Its well worth the extra $20. In SLI these cards run anything thrown at them without dropping below 40fps, even with all settings maxed at 1920x1080.
This card is also very sturdy. It is perfectly straight and my other card sags quite a bit even though they are the same weight. Bracing can never be overlooked because to much can cause leads in the PCB to crack. Or in my case it will sometimes cause a failure to boot until you mess with the card to get it back in the right spot.

Cons: The blue PCB kills the look of my all black setup, luckly its in a lower slot and out of view for the most part. It was a bit of a disappointment because the reference card I bought back in January 2011 was all black.

Other Thoughts: If your thinking of buying a GTX 570, grab this one. If your thinking of buying a GTX 580, buy this and overclock it. Spend the extra $150 on an SSD or better CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible performance and low temperatures

Pros: This card has amazing performance. Coupled with an i5 2500k I've been getting 40-60 fps consistently in BF3 at max settings at 1920x1080. The same is true for heavily modded Skyrim.

The card runs very cool. 35C at idle and 60C under load during games.

Cons: Absolutely none

5 out of 5 eggsNo review can do this card justice

Pros: This card comes overclocked at 845Mhz using MSI Afterburner you can overclock this card with ease and get 950Mhz easily and more and the card still runs cool.

Have a good size case with alot of cooling Antec 900 or better and you are good to go.

I told a friend, this card is my wife ...

Wife meet PC
PC, this is wife;
Lets get the sweethearting started ! This card is awesome I'm getting a second one for SLI.

Cons: It doesn't make pizza and produce beer from thin air.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Wonderfully quick card - near reference gtx580 speeds out of the box. I got a slight bump in performance using Afterburner. Very quiet considering the clock speeds. I tried bumping up a reference card and it was howling terribly and still couldn't touch the speed. The premium price over the stock cards was worth it.

Cons: none

2 out of 5 eggsAlright when it chose to work

Pros: Fast card. Great cooling. Fans normally quite quiet and not very noticeable. Ran any game I wanted.

Cons: Rather annoyed with my experience with this card. Got it expecting it to last and be the "best of the best" as they had advertised. Have had ANYTHING BUT that experience with this card. When it works it runs great, but that is a rare occasion. It frequently would not show video upon boot-up, force restarts of my computer when trying to boot-up, and run the fans at 100% with no video. This would require the card to be re-seated to run again (every week or so, initially). It now will not work at all. Going through an RMA process; not happy.

Gigabyte needs to improve it's "high quality" cards. Wishing I'd gone with EVGA. Gigabyte better not let me down in the RMA. Their so called "GPU gauntlet" seems to be a flop based on all the reviews of this card I'm reading. Disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Didn't purchase through Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: no fuss. Replaced old card, swapped in this, and works great. Haven't bothered to overclock yet, but from what others say, its very doable. Huge difference between my old GTS 250.

Cons: None so far, hope it stays that way

Other Thoughts: Apparently people have been having issues with it, with what looks like are PSU problems. Do your research and check your power supply before buying this card

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte!!!

Pros: you did it Gigabyte created a nother wonderful card. I like this card because it is a perfect merge between gtx580 performance and it runs cool.

Cons: None if they arise I will let newegg know.

Other Thoughts: I just keep it at stock settings I could watercool but why! I don't Overclock past the point to increase the voltage on it, and it stays cools like that its quiet could not really ask for any thing else if all you have is a 1900 by 1080 monitor.
