4 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the cash

Pros: Great DX9 card for the price; dollar per dollar it can't be beat. I wouldn't expect DX10 to catch on for a while, so this is a good investment.

512MB of VRAM is great if you're into high-resolution gaming. Good performance on HL2 and Quake 4, a definite performance boost.

Also has an excellent integrated cooling system that expels hot air out the back.

Cons: This thing is an absolute beast in terms of size. I haven't seen an expansion card this big since the old ISA SoundBlaster AWE32.

The cooling system blocks an adjacent PCI slot

Power hungry; needs to be hooked up to a power supply.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your case is big enough and your PSU can supply enough power.

5 out of 5 eggsincredible deal

Pros: great deal! it was easy to install, the cd that came with it was easy to install the preliminary drivers.i get 100-250 fps in cs-source,depending on the map & server i choose to play in.it will cool my computer a great deal as the card blows all its heat out the back end. this card will work in a crossfire setup if you can afford two cards & have the right motherboard/ pc case.but just one card is really all thats needed unless u need stellar graphics capabilities.

Cons: the only con i got is its size. i dont think its that bad though cause i have a full size atx case. if you dont have a full size case the card probably wont fit your rig.it does take up an additional pci slot from the back panel so the fan/ductwork around the heatsink will blow all the hot exhaust out the back. no biggie if you have a full size case & dont plan on using 2 video cards if you are using two i would plan to have room for both pci express cards & 1 available pci slot right next to each video card on the correct side of the card

Other Thoughts: you wont find a better card for the money & i would wait on the backorder even if mine was broken.also i gave newegg 3$ to rush the order rather than next day air it paid off big time i got the card in like 36 hours after placing the order with the cheapest possible shipping.i wouldnt order anywhere else now

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video card

Pros: Low cost. 512MB. 1950pro. Huge heat sink that blows out heat through the back. least expensive one out of all the 1950pro with 512MB thats on Newegg. Probably the least expensive one anyone can find out there on the net. This card should hold up till the dx10 cards become cheaper.

Cons: This video card is long. Had to move my hard drive down on slot.

Other Thoughts: Went from my Mobility Radeon 9600 with 64MB to this card and what a difference it makes. Can finally play C&C 3 at its highest settings.no slow down. Before I could only play it at the very lowest settings.Lots of eye candy. Oblivion runs at 20-30 fps average when out side with high settings.( not the max setting though but still good) Got this card in hope that StarCraft 2 comes out soon so I can play it all day in high resolution.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, fast, inexpensive video card

Pros: 512 MB of memory, ATI X1950Pro chipset, Runs pretty cool, Fairly low power usage.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: This card is fairly inexpensive and runs pretty quickly. I have an X1950Pro with 256 MB installed on another system and the extra memory sure makes a difference. ATI cards have been much more stable for me, I guess their drivers are somewhat better than their main competitors for me. ATI cards render video more crisply than do Nvidia cards to me. I think this is a good card until the X2xx series come out later other than the X2900 which is hot and a major power user.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome!!!

Pros: This card is amazing. The difference from an X300 onboard video card to this, and the graphics improved so much that I haven't played any game yet where I can't put all the settings on high.

Cons: Some of the programs from the manufacturer are really horrible. The 3Color program is absolutely atrocious. Do NOT install it. All you really need is the control center from ATI.

Other Thoughts: The built in overclocking system is really cool. A warning, however: make sure you have at least a 400-450 watt power supply to run this card. The more powerful, the better. Also, make sure you really check the dimensions. It almost didn't fit in my computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card....

Pros: perfect performance, from an ati x200, to this card, i can definitely c the difference. There is an overclock option. Great if you want to increase ur clock (if u need it). no lag in games and shader 3.0 is definitly a plus.

Cons: runs hot especially when overlocking it. BAD SHIP NEWEGG! i cant belive it took you 5 days just to ship this... it usually takes newegg like 1 day to ship stuff.. but this one is an option. hopefully this will be the last. no pixel shader 4.0 option (dont worry though, i dont think it will be anytime soon). 1 pci-e and pci slots needed (this is a plus though cuz the extra slot helps ventilation.) 2 power connectors needed.

Other Thoughts: my system is 3800+ radeon, 3 gb ram. all the games i played so far is in high settings.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: EGGCELLENT card for the price and it has 512mb of ram to boot. I bought this to replace my X850XT and what a difference it makes. I had to ensure that it was even working because I didnt hear the jet engine noise that my X850XT used to make when I fired up my PC. I am very impressed with this card

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Excellent price and graphics...Might go Xfire but why? this card does it all (minus DX10).

5 out of 5 eggsEconomical

Pros: Good cooling system (evacuates hot air from case unlike others that throw exhaust air inside case). Good price with 512 MB.

Cons: None that I can think of other than it is a long card (but that's true of all ATI X1950s. Does not do DX10 but what at this price can do DX10 and who needs DX10 now?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cool and especially QUIET for how fast it is. 1950pro is much cooler/quieter to begin with thanks to 80mm manufacture process, but this MSI version (and HIS iceq versions) have quietest fans. This dual slot version exhausts heat out the rear of your case.

Cons: If cool/quiet is not important, get connect 3d 1950xt instead (or other value priced 1950xt) with much better price/performance ratio. 512mb doesn't help in most games, so don't put a lot of weight on that when deciding.

Other Thoughts: Used in a tiny SFF case (shuttle SN25P).
