4 out of 5 eggsBest GPU out there.

Pros: Great.Runs Crysis 2 on max settings with 1.9 patch, including GTA IV on very high with 1.0.7 patch, though make sure you get proper cooling(see cons)

Cons: This card overheats easily. On stock clocks, 5 mins on any game is enough to make it artifact. Its not the clocks that make it artifact, it's the heat, it gets to 85C in 5 mins.Proper cooling fixes it all.

Other Thoughts: Wish it was cheaper at the time, i bought it 2 months after it was released into stock. Now it's gone.Great GPU, something nVidia will never repeat again. The climbs in performance with this card were epic.

5 out of 5 eggsWoW What to say about it?

Pros: Well I got today and it can run Crysis where my 2 8600 GTS in SLI had some lag issue with it. Put this guy in and wow!! Got 10,292 a 1,000 point difference in 3DMark06. Can't wait for the price to drop so I can SLI these.

Cons: Price maybe. And in CoD4 I get 91FPS like I did with my 2 8600 GTS. And make sure you have case room. But other that it's a high quality card.

Other Thoughts: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000, 2GB DDR2 Ram, 250GB HHD, 600 Watt PSU,8800 Ultra.

Some say this GPU is hot well to tell you all that it Idles for me at least at 60c. The Temp of my 8600 GTS in SLI. I do plan on getting watter cooling in the future. NEWEGG you ROCK. Good Job guys on the products

4 out of 5 eggsPay Attention

Pros: OK Listen I Bought this card and I was Play it and it Froze so I reboot my PC and start playing again for like 1 hour all good after the hour froze again,so I deal like that for like a month (u know trying to find the problem)put more fans nothing I under clock my CPU nothing,my RAM ,nothing so I send it to MSI.

Cons: The RMA was slow (about 2 weeks)but for a gamer like me its too much, looks like I was unlucky with this card i got a faily one.

Other Thoughts: I got the replacement and its working like charm I LOVE IT I LL GET ANOTHER ONE ASAP the rma will cost MSI 1 score down to 4 over all good.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the Buck

Pros: You can't currently beat this card for the money. Ultras, even overclocked, provide almost no performance advantage over the GTX but... if an Ultra is the same price as a GTX... why not??

Cons: First one came DOA. Second worked great. This card runs HOT! 86c according to ATItool. Also, the default overclock is NOT stable. 660MHz is a bit over zealous. The card artifacts minorly at this speed. Most games/people wont care about minor glitches. Underclock it if you must.

Other Thoughts: Still an expensive card even if it's cheapest of the line. Expect 10-14K in 3dMark06 depending on your CPU and 60+ FPS in Unreal3 demo at 1600x1200 full eye candy.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Runs every game I know on max settings, including crysis (with 2xAA) 1440x900. I upgraded form a 7900gt and this thing was about 30% larger than the previous card, I used a CM Stacker 830 case and went in fine with tons of room left over.

Cons: Wish they had more after-market coolers for this, runs warm, make sure to turn up the fan speed.

Other Thoughts: q6600, 4 GIG G. skill ram, Gigabyte p35-Ds4- rev 2 board, 1000w real power pro, Raptor X 10,000 rpm 150 gig HD

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Performance and Price

Pros: I was afraid of buying this card due to the fact its so much cheaper than the other cards and it is overclocked to such a high speed. Too good to be true? NO WAY! I got this bad boy in my new system yesterday and it has ran amazing. Call of Duty 4 runs at 1680x1050 with all settings maxed including AAx4. Min-40fps, Average - 70 fps, Max - 165 fps. It is as smooth as butter. This is the best 8800 ultra on the market.

Cons: Heat is a very big issue. I read tons of reviews reguarding heat and did not think it was that big of a deal. Well, it is for me. First off, the fan speeds are set way too low. I ran 3DMark06 without changing the fan speed and the card went up to 90 degress celcius. That is SCARY hot. I downloaded a different tuner(Sets the fan speed to 100% on startup unlike NTune) and now it is 60 idle and 70 load. Which is stable but a little high for me. I'm using a Thermaltake armor, 2 front intake, 2 back exhaust, 1 top 1 250mm side fan. Even with this great rig it still runs warm. But stable none the less.

Other Thoughts: 3DMark06 - 9500, Thermaltake Amor with 250mm Side Panal Fan, OCZ Gamexstream 700w PSU, ASUS Pk5 Premium Black Pearl Edition, Intel Quad Core q6600, MSI 8800 Ultra OC, 4g of Pariot Exteme Performance dd2 800 ram, 2 Western Digital 500gb Harddrives,

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card, handles every game with ease, even at max settings at my native resolution on a 22" monitor.

Cons: Huge! The end of the card spills over into my hard driver bay.

Other Thoughts: If this thing runs hot for you (chances are it will) get the HR-03 Plus and stick a fan on it, I get 50C idle and 60C load, works great!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Completely dominates any game I throw at it. It eats Crysis alive, I can play at MAX settings at 1280*1024 no problem. I also play older games such as Americas Army and it has improved my gameplay by allowing me to have consistent shots with no stutter even in heavy firefights with tons of bullets in the air.

Cons: Fans are set to 59% stock. I had to force them to 100% Otherwise it's been amazing!

Other Thoughts: A great upgrade as long as your CPU isn't bottlenecking it. Now is a bad time to buy though, I'd wait for the next generation of NVIDIA's graphics cards to completly max out Crysis.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card gives excellent performance in all of the 3D games I have tried so far. 2D applications look amazing. In my opinion, the 8800 Ultra is the best single card money can buy. Surprisingly, it is quieter than my previous video card, even with the fan at 100%. I was looking for a card to be a beast right now, but also to keep me going for a few more years and I think this is going to get the job done.

Cons: This card gets very hot. Using the stock settings and fan speeds, I get idle temps of around 72C and load temps of +85C, and this is with a well ventilated case and a 120mm fan pointed right at the video card. Getting the card’s fan to blow 100% will drop the temp to 62C idle and 75C load, but the stock drivers don’t seem to up the fan speed soon enough in my opinion. I would not recommend this card if you don’t have very good air circulation in your case. Also, as others have mentioned, this card is really long, so be sure to measure your case and make sure you won’t be blocking anything on your motherboard.

Other Thoughts: One minor note: I had trouble getting the card to slide into my PCIe slot easily. I had to gently bend the outer plate (the one with the DVI connections on it) to get it to slip into place correctly. I’m not sure if this was a problem with my case or the card, but it should be noted anyway. It seems like I have a lot of negatives associated with this card, but believe me, the pros far outweigh the cons. Happy gaming!
