5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Price

Pros: I have a Dell 8400 3.6 pentium III purchased in 2004 with an ATI 800 XT 128 mg. I finally purchased Bioshock installed it and the shading did not work. Game continually crashed. Found this card, installed it in 10 minutes, downloaded the NVIDIA drivers and was playing Bioshock flawlessly in 30 minutes. Ordering, installation, driver dowload was pretty simple. The heat sink is huge, so you better have some room. The card does not have a fan, so there is no noice associated with it. If you are looking for an inexpensive upgrade to your old computer, this is the card. NewEgg has convinced me this is the site to purchase all of my computer / electronics needs.

Cons: Nothing found so far. I have only had the card one day.

4 out of 5 eggsgood card, but very bulky

Pros: Quiet, powerful. I selected the card as the most powerful Nvidia model that has both dual-DVI outputs AND non-fan passive cooling only.

Cons: Runs a little warm, very very bulky.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to replace a MSI 7600 in a system that is always powered up, hoping to quiet it down a bit.

The new card is completely silent, as hoped. However, it is MASSIVE and will not fit in many systems. It will likely not fit in a system with a tight micro-ATX mainboard. Under non-gaming load, but driving two large DVI-attached displays, the system remains modestly cool. My MSI 7600 (w/fan) usually measured 49-53C, this card (a more powerful GPU) measures 53-55C. If I wanted, I could turn my system fan up (which defeats the quiet intention) but that lowers the this GPU's temperature to 51C.

None of the vendor photos show the heatsink at an angle to show that it's notably thicker than the rest of the card assembly. This could be called a two-slot design by virtue of its size.

The heatsink assembly is attached to the GPU by copper heat conduits and sits "above" the card in a normal right-side-up tower configuration.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card, when it fits in your case

Pros: Excellent performance in its class. Absolutely quiet (of course) with no fan.

Cons: I recently moved this card into a horizontal HTPC case and the copper heat pipes make it impossible to close the case all the way.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended if you have room in your case, just be warned that it won't fit in every situation.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet,Priced Right

Pros: This card replaced a generic 8300 that came with my system. Due to its fanless design, it actually made my system quieter. Since I leave my system on 24/7, it was a welcome change. I am now able to play WoW at my monitors full resolution along with several other games. This is one of the best bang for the buck out there.

Cons: The heat sink is HUGE! It may not fit in some systems. It was tight in my Vostro mini-tower. Some of the MSI supplied apps were difficult to configure and I eventually removed.

Other Thoughts: While the pics don't show it, if your motherboard has a heatsink or other device (such as a capacitor) near the top PCI-e 16x slot that stands up more than 1.5" it could interfere with the cooling fins. If it is not placed in the top 16x slot, you will loose access to the slot above it. It's the price one pays to be quiet.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet and it works well

Pros: It's Quiet, it works well. Yeah it's not the latest and greatest but it's bang for the buck is very good.

Cons: No support from MSI for XP 64 bit, so if you use XP 64 you'll need to use the basic drivers from NVidia's site which don't take full advantage of the cards capabilities.

Other Thoughts: This card and some older hardware (specificly my printer/scanner & webcam)which also wasn't supported under XP-64 forced my move to Vista.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a good one.

Pros: I bought this in September 2007 when building a new monster machine based on an IP-35 Pro with Vista 64. And I am quite happy with it. It seems to have held it's value over a 9 month period which is remarkable for a graphics card. It is quiet with the fanless design, it will produce resolution to match the best of monitors (dual even) and it even runs Crysis at the highest settings with fluid clear resolution. When I bought it there was a rebate, and I did in fact get my rebate from MSI with no monkey business.

Cons: The photos don't show how large the cooling fins are. The fanless design does have a rather large cooling fin area, but I would rather that, than more noise from a fan. It actually blocked my single PCIE port, so when installing a PCIE Raid card after filling up all 6 SATA ports, I had to move it down to a lower PCI Express x16 port. When I did this, naturally it nuked the driver, but I was happy to find that MSI still updates the drivers for this and I was able to download a new one, free and fast. And it's even for Vista 64.

Other Thoughts: I don't see how someone could go wrong with this card, unless you only have one PCI Express x16 slot with your PCIE slot right above it (and need the PCIE slot). I upgrade my main machine every three months with the newest parts on the market. When taking the machine apart, cleaning everything, upgrading ram and hard drives, etc. , I looked around for a new video card and realized that I don't need to upgrade this one. You can spend five times as much money on another card if you really need to, but this allows me to watch HD movies on one monitor, while working or gaming on the other. It's a good one.

Pros: Great performance so far. Got to try a real game first. Order on Monday received on Tuesday with standard shipping.

Cons: Kind of bulky. Make sure you watch your fingers on the heat sink you might get cut.

5 out of 5 eggsLove silence

Pros: Totally silent. I have mid tower with two 120mm fans (intake + exhaust) which runs on low ~900rpm all the time. On idle GPU is ~49C; after 1 hour playing FarCry with HDR enabled it gets up to 71C with no lag at all. Performs as expected.

Cons: Big heatsink - may not fit on some motherboards.

Other Thoughts: Great deal for the money.
