5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Sweet price, sweeter running. I have 2 in SLI. I took it out of SLI and turned up Crysis while my friend had his 8800 Ultra right next to me same settings close to the same setup (his havening quad core me running dual core) and no difference in the game play or graphics. yes he can out Benchmark me but to the naked eye you cant see the difference. He is now mad that he didn't go with 2 of these in SLI and saved a few hundred bucks..

Cons: I didn't get them sooner!

Other Thoughts: When I place mine in SLI against the ultra again no difference to the naked eye. We played for hours and any glitches/stutters seemed to be in the same spots on the game. The Software just has not caught up to the hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice video card

Pros: Flawless install, (600+ psu recommended though) It's overclocked to 575MHZ the CD that comes with the videocard will let you overlock even more rightclick/propertys/vga clock/ enabled D.O.T and select one. I've got mine on Sergant (2) it runs very stable haven't gone any higher yet. Runs Doom3 maxed, battlefield 2 maxed, cod 4 maxed, world of warcraft and the expansion maxed, unreal tournament maxed, (If the videocard is overclocked high enough which mine will be eventually) It will max Crysis!! Not playing yall, this game will eat Crysis alive. It's a MUST BUY!!!! Forget 8800 GTX run dual overclocked MSI's and go for it!

Cons: My motherboard isn't SLI Enabled *crys*

Other Thoughts: Buy it, or spend your money on something this thing will compete with easily.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: great card... demolishes hl2, supreme commander, company of heros, c&c3, cod4, and bioshock... crysis can be run on a combo of high and very high (mix and match settings)... 112 stream processors just like the 8800gt (normal 8800gts is 96 stream processors)... OC'ed out of box with a great program which has preset overclock settings

Cons: this sucker is huge, bigger than my mobo! and it runs a wee bit hot

Other Thoughts: specs:
q6600, 4gb ram, 1x MSI 640mb 8800gts, 1tb HD, 550watt psu

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Quick Delivery!! Love Newegg for that. Looks just like the original card when first introduced. Never had an issues that could not be corrected by Display drivers.

Cons: None so far.. I have had the first card for over a year and have yet to have any problems next to display drivers, Mostly due to Vista, Even that is no longer an issue.

Other Thoughts: This is my secound card, I am now running 2 of these in SLI configuration. I set this up on a EVGA 680I Mobo, Vista Ultimate 64bit OS, 4gig corsair, 1000W Antec psu, Intel Q6600 in an Antec 900 case. Note: I added one fan to the case and run them all on Meddium speed. The only thing I had to do was reinstall the drivers. Played crysis on max settings without breaking a sweet.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: One day shipping with ground?!

First impression was that this card is not so big after all; actually its an inch shorter than my x1950pro! It does take up two slots, but barely.

I run a Q6600 and that gets underclocked on these asrock boards. I can change the bios setting from auto to manual and that takes care of that, but asrock told me that might cause some system stability issues so I put it back on auto. So basically I have a 2.3GHz Q6600 and for some reason I cant fathom my 2GB of DDR2-667 memory is running at 192MHz at a 4:3 ratio to cpu fsb with 3-3-3-9 timings. No time to mess with that right now, I wanted to 3DMark06 this baby!

I found the results absolutely amazing. Not so much the score of 9037 on a pcie 4x board:

Main Test Results3DMark Score 9039 3DMarks

SM 2.0 Score 3715 Marks

SM 3.0 Score 3536 Marks

CPU Score 3562 Marks

Cons: One thing which I didnt like was the large amount of white paste between the card and the cooler; looks like MSI applied too much of that? Some of it looks like its caking as well. Dont know, maybe this is normal for these kind of cards? Maybe someone else who has the 8800GTS can let me know about that.

I also see abrasions on the metal plating around the cooler, as if its been scraped along its side; but hopefully this is just a minor cosmetic issue.

Ok, now that I got all that out of the way, I boot up my computer and-- uh oh! One of my two dvi lcds isnt working. Not even at POST! I get into XP with a single display and then try to switch ports, but the other monitor doesnt work in the other port and the port which was actually working is sending an "out of range" error to the monitor that wasnt working originally!

Man, now Im really upset! I switch back the ports so that the one monitor works again, but the other is still showing a blank display.

Other Thoughts: Im about ready to call newegg to send the card back and then I think-- well lets download the nvidia display drivers... who knows, maybe that will change things wrt to getting my other display to work.

It did! After I download the latest WHQL drivers, and set up my dual display config, now BOTH monitors work as good as ever! I dont know if it'll become an issue in the future (hopefully not!) but at least for now everything works fine. I just found it strange that one of my displays doesnt get detected (still doesnt in POST) unless and until the nvidia display driver is loaded. Maybe other people with newer nvidia cards and dual displays can chime in here.

But the big deal... the really big deal here is that the card BARELY even got warm... even though it comes overclocked straight out of the factory-- at 575/1700! I kept atitool and riva running on my other monitor to monitor temps and they started at 50C and didnt even make 60C until I looped 3DMark06 about 5 times!

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible performace for your buck!

Pros: The specs say a lot, but the power of it is truly beyond my expectations. I got it yesterday with a new 650 watt PS and installed them. I was upgrading from an x1650PRO and was blown away. I'd beaten Crysis using that card, but after installing this it's a completely different game. I could tell you how much better just that one experience is, but then I'd be writing a whole article!

Cons: Huge! I expected that, but it sticks 1.5" beyond the end of my microATX FF mobo. I'm using a Thermaltake Armor case, so this isn't an issue. Seems to run hot after gaming for a while, but I need to do more testing to confirm.

Other Thoughts: My initial take on it is exceptionally good. Unbelievable performance for the investment. If you want top end gaming capacity without taking out a second mortgage this is it. I'm under $500 for a new HD, this card, mobo, ram, and case. Now to see how long it lasts.

P4 3.2ghz HTT 800FSB 1MB L2, Biostar P4M900-M4, 2GB DDR2 low latency Dual channel Patriot RAM(too bad the mobo isn't dual channel), MSI 8800GTS 640MB PCI-E, Sigma 635 watt power supply, .5TB Seagate 7200.11

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: This card is all I expected and more. Cuts through games like Crysis and COD4 without any hiccups on highest settings.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Not many reviews on this card so I thought I would leave mine. For the money it can't be beat. If you are looking for great performance in gaming and don't want to spend upwards of 400 dollars this card if perfect for you.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't get a better card for the money!

Pros: Very stable card. Running COD4, UT3 and BF2142 all with graphics settings maxed out. No issues at all. 25227 score with 3dMark 2001.
Extremely quiet. My power supply fan makes more noise.

Cons: A little big. It's a two slot card and it is as wide as my motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Did a lot of research on cards and found this to be the best bang for the buck deal!
