5 out of 5 eggsSuperb HD Video Card

Pros: Outstanding reproduction of HD video at 1080p that's super smooth and artifact free.
Great card for 1080p displays, especially for photo post processing. Plays well with color management software.
VERY quiet in 2D mode and runs cool as a cucumber in a Thermaltake Mozart TX uber-huge case with its ten Scythe fluid-dynamic bearing, 120mm, 1200rpm case fans.
Beautiful rending of graphics for most games like Bioshock, Portal, Oblivion and the like.
Great workstation card at less than 20% the price.

Cons: Not the fastest frame rates for playing Crysis. Not an issue with me, however.
When it's in full-tilt boogie 3D mode, the fan it plainly audible over all 10 Scythe uber-quiet case fans.
Had trouble displaying full resolution through LG display's HDMI input but NVidia's tech support was fast and efficient.
This card is HUGE though it's not a problem in my uber-HUGE case except for having to purchase longer SATA cables to route around this big boy since all the drives in the Mozart TX are on the far size of the video card from every motherboard's SATA connectors.

Other Thoughts: Unless you're an uber-gamer, this card is an outstanding buy for outputting HD video to any 1920x1200 display.
Honestly, it's just a plain steal for anyone doing post production photo processing and editing. It performs as well as a buddy's Quadro FX 4800 for high res photo editing at 1/7th the cost. Mind you, it won't keep up with it at the top end of the Quadro's performance envelope, but most users aren't anywhere near that demanding.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked Great

Pros: Worked great, ran most of my games well at or near best resolution.

Cons: Runs a little hot, I think I got a bad one, die after about two to three months of use. Heard a little humming sound, and then a few minutes later it crashed.

Other Thoughts: Great Card, I just got a bad one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat... Seriously

Pros: 2x GTX 260 in SLI + a good quad + more than 2GB Ram will run just about anything at 1080P, full settings. I really cannot be more satisfied with buying 2 of these at less than 400$.

Cons: None, seriously.

Other Thoughts: I would only get the 192 core if you already have another you want to SLI, otherwise stick with the GTX260 Core216, or better yet, go GTX 275/GTX 280.

4 out of 5 eggsRebate sucks, Card Good

Pros: This is a very good video card for the money. Plays all my games on max setting without a glitch. Cod4, Halo, Tf2 and UT4

Cons: I give it 4 stars because the rebate which has taken 5 months still shows check mailed for past two months. Rebate is a joke and you cannot contact MSI about it. I would choose a different card for the same full price of this one.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Buy

Pros: I have purchased this card about a month ago and have had not one problem with it. I play Lord of the Rings Online on Ultra settings with around 40fps. I highly recommend this item not only for the price but the quality.

Cons: Did not come with the 6-pin power connectors needed to run the card, but of course newegg has these items as well.

Other Thoughts: I had a little trouble getting it working. But once I realized it needed both of the 6-pin power connectors installed to run I had no problems. I guess it helps to read instructions every once in a while. =)

5 out of 5 eggsWorth its size

Pros: Excellent performance for the money spent. Left 4 Dead is rendering 1280x1024/4xAA/8xAF/"Very High" settings at no less than 75fps in the most crowded scenes and upwards of 150 during lulls. For a factory overclock, it remains exceedingly stable.

Cons: Card occupies the maximum space possible for an ATX chassis, so accommodating its girth could be an issue on some older designs.
World of Warcraft has occasional texture corruptions. The issue has only occured once every other week though.

Other Thoughts: This card is worth every cent for its generation. If you had to invest in any single G2xx card, this is the best deal.

4 out of 5 eggsApologies for confusion

Pros: see other thoughts and/or previous post

Cons: see other thoughts and/or previous post

Other Thoughts: wanted to apologize for any confusion my previous post should have been on the OC version "2" of this card also offered by newegg. That card does have 216 proc cores as opposed to this cards 192. Well if you willing tyo take the chance on a rebate offer other card would come out less after rebate then this one and currently only ten bucks more w/o rebate. Either enjoy your product and sorry again.

4 out of 5 eggs10 weeks later.....

Pros: Have had this card going on approximately 10 weeks. At the time with the $30 rebate it was the least expensive GTX 260 Newegg was offering(Price). Card runs relatively cool , highest temp i have seen is 52 degrees C and as low as 40 degrees C. Running fan at 50% vs the stock 40%(Cool). Framerates are excellent and can play all the games i play at max settings , mainly Crysis , Far Cry 2, Everquest , Oblivion and a few others.

Cons: Big. Prepare to move/mod stuff. And depending on case forgeting that SLI setup altogether.
Fan is loud at 50%+
192 vs most other cards 216 cores
MSI has almost non-existant (Live) customer service , however to be fair , when i e-mailed there rebate dept , they did respond if not at the very least promptly.
10 weeks later and still no rebate to be fair they did say up to 12 , we will see what happens with this.
Card dropped in price few weeks later by $40 before rebate. However the above mentioned cons is why i took off an egg. If i do not receive my rebate. This card imo rates a 3 egg at best.

Other Thoughts: I posted a review about 3-4 weeks ago that i know for a fact newegg had up but for some reason is no longer here. The review was a 3 egg but after some time with the card and response from MSI rebate dept i think a 4 is appropiate . Unless of course i do not recieve my rebate , the nsince that effects overall price , i can feel justified in giving this 3 eggs.

As of right now going over neweggs GTX 260 offerings i would NOT recommend this card. The EVGA and XFX offerings IMO are better. 216 cores , price and the most important thing, those companies are a pleasure to deal with. I know from experience that EVGA has LIVE wonderful customer support and were super prompt with there rebates on past products, 6-7 weeks. Alot better then the 10 and still counting , holding my breath weeks. /shrug

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a Cheap MONSTER!!!

Pros: - Unbelievable performance.
- Unbeatable price/performance.
- Rock stable.
- Fantastic framerates.
- Great overclockability and customization through fantastic drivers.

Cons: (Personally I don't consider these cons, but if I have to..)
- Runs very very hot.
- Very large card.
(This card is amazing.. there really are no cons..)

Other Thoughts: This is the first time in my life I have bought a video card and have been 100% happy with my purchase. I remember buying the Geforce2 when it came out years ago and spent a ton of money on it and wasn't all that happy with the performance. This card was very inexpensive and delivered bigtime on performance. I haven't come across a game that can lag this card yet. I run everything maxed out at 1650X1280. Gorgeous framerates. I have nothing bad to say about this card. The only thing I have to say bad is about you if you don't buy it already. I have compared to the 295 and it's not a WORLD of difference at all. Save the $300 and get this card. You will not be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Chews into anything you can throw at it. Drivers are really mature (use nvidia.com ones) and no problems in Vista. I put this in a dell machine (Inspirion 530) with a CPU upgrade and a power supply upgrade. No compatibility problems at all. Funny thing was the new components all cost more than the original system LOL.

Probably over kill, but I only use this card to run World of Warcraft. 1680x1050 res with all settings maxxed. Dalaran is smooth.

Cons: Card is big, make sure you have room. Requires more than your standard DELL power supply to run.

Other Thoughts: Probably something better by now, but for the price at the time of purchase it was a really good deal.
