Waiting for support
- Pros: Works well on linux in general. Dual output without any problems. Recent release of code suggests support should be improving. Some apps work with no problems.
- Cons: Getting driver bugs when trying to run some OpenGL programs. At this point my X server crashes every time the library is initialized. (It is not universal; glxgears, for example, will run). The proprietary driver is required for most high-end functionality at this point :(
- Other Thoughts: If you need OpenGL on linux, make sure the hardware is compatible. I haven't been so lucky.
Video Card ATI
- Pros: Great video card, games played so far Left For Dead 4, Call Of Duty 4, Far Cry 2. Games run great and the level of detail is just fantastic. No problem with the ATI drivers 8.12.

- Cons: If your looking for low noise this card is not it. The fans kick in when the temps are up from hardcore gaming little noisy.
- Other Thoughts: Highly Recommend! Very Happy!
Update review
- Pros: Continues to improve with newer drivers from ATI. Still an absolute beast of a card. I may potentially order a second one of these in the coming months for Crossfire-X. Once I see how it performs with the new monitor, we will see whether or not I even need to.
- Cons: Not much of anything anymore. There is the occasional graphical glitch which the latest ATI drivers have failed to cover, but there has been a marked improvement since the 8.8 drivers.
- Other Thoughts: This is more of an updated score, giving this product a full 5 eggs rather than the 4 I awarded it several months prior. Now that ATI has gotten some things worked out in their drivers, this card is absolutely screaming. I simply love it, and am thoroughly excited to test out the new 30" monitor I've ordered. The noise level of the fan becomes less and less noticeable with use, and nowadays I practically tune it out unless I'm just sitting here reading for any extended duration. In those situations, I simply tell CCC to tune the fan speed down to 42%... and all of a sudden its more than manageable.
