1 out of 5 eggsStarted Freezing with 4 hours of use!

Pros: It was much faster than I anticipated. Not the fastest, but a major upgrade from onboard gpu.

Cons: Within just 4 hours of using it (and not overclocking) it began to freeze thereby locking up windows. I rolled back the latest msi driver and utilized the one on the install disc. Still locked up. Unfortunate, since it was installed on a MSI mobo, so you'd assume they would work well together.

Other Thoughts: Spend some extra and get a better card.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Got it installed and working under Linux (PCLinuxOS to be specific) with no problems whatsoever. Haven't had a chance to test its gaming abilities, but it runs great under normal 3-D desktop use. Runs pretty cool too.

DVI makes my 22" monitor look great :)

Cons: The fan is a wee bit loud, in other words, expect to be able to hear it in a normal environment. It doens't bother me, but I do live across the street from a fire station so my threshold for noise is probably higher than average.

Other Thoughts: I haven't checked the HDMI port yet so I can't vouch for it's quality.

3 out of 5 eggsNot thrilled

Pros: Quick ship, great price, easy install, easy to customize card settings.

Cons: Video card freezes at seemingly random times.

Other Thoughts: Replaced standard Dell video card w/ this one. Output dual monitors, one VGA, one DVI. When working it's sweet, but freezes often. Haven't been able to figure out source of problem yet, but didn't start happening until this card was put in place.

3 out of 5 eggsMSI Rebate Scam?

Pros: Price

Cons: It was part of a multi-part upgrade to an aging system. The card works well but it reaches its max playing Farm Town. At first I thought it was the processor that was maxed out but after upgrading that also, the screen still jumps around (just not as much)

Other Thoughts: The rebate was sent in at least 4 months ago after jumping through all their hoops and I have not heard anything back from them. Reading other complaints about how difficult it is for them to provide the rebate check I am left to wonder if it is a scam.

4 out of 5 eggsNot "silent"

Pros: Nice graphics, good price

Cons: For me, I wanted silent, this card is not exactly that. It was quiet but if you are looking for a card you can't hear in a quiet room (i.e. virtually silent), this is not it.

Other Thoughts: Gave 4 stars because not everyone wants a silet card.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card for the price.

Pros: Installed and runs nicely, the fan is quiet compared to my evga 7600 which got replaced.

Cons: Didn't come with Windows 7 drivers, but I didn't expect it to.

Other Thoughts: Works great for basic everyday computing.

2 out of 5 eggsFeel cheated

Pros: I have the 512MB version of this card. The HDMI interface is nice and the card works fine.

Cons: The included cable didn't work with my HP motherboard, so I had to splice it to an RCA male connector and use the external PC SPDIF out to get sound through the HDMI interface. You can't blame MSI for that, though. The instructions on how to make sound work, however, are non-existant.

Other Thoughts: I'm really upset that MSI denied my rebate on a technicality. They make you complete a form on-line to get an authorization number and then mail a form using regular mail. They will not accept re-submissions either, so it's clear to me that MSI has constructed their rebated program so that they only have to pay a minimum number of claims. I won't ever buy another product from them.

3 out of 5 eggsNo sound via SPDIF

Pros: Easy to install. Requires a slot older PCs probably won't have. HDMI hooks right up to my plasma tv. No problem.

Cons: The SPDIF connector supplied has two wires. Hooked the white end connectors to the card. No problem. Found SPDIF on my mother board. Big problem. 3 pins. Have tried various combinations of connectors to pins. Nearly inaccessible. Learned many new curse words. No sound from TV. MSI website is useless. Card not even listed in their drop down menu. They want info that does not apply to this problem. Anyone know a work around?

Other Thoughts: Any help appreciated.
