5 out of 5 eggsGood Card & Fast

Pros: It's stock over clocked. This card is great for high res gaming where you want all the eye candy. This card runs a lot cooler and uses less power idling than my old 8800GTS 320.

Cons: The 285 series is still a bit pricey when compared to the ATI 4890s. This card is also long (11in) MSI's warranty is not as good as EVGA

Other Thoughts: E6600
ASUS P5N-SLI
Corsair 2gb
Corsair 750TX 750W

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, but...

Pros: This card is a nice upgrade coming from two 8800GT's in SLI. It runs fast, cool, and quiet.

Cons: The card is supposed to run at 680/2500 core/memory, but it only goes up to 648/2484. I contacted MSI's online support, and they told me it ramps up during heavy use. It does ramp up, just not to what it should go to. I am using Riva Tuner to make up for the card's shortcomings.

Other Thoughts: The build quality seems nice other than the clocking issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: Fast and Fast! The build is solid, looks good too.

Cons: Package can be better. The main difference between EVGA and MSI must be their package. MSI's package looks cheap. Maybe it's a fact why it cost less.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, Magnificent Overclocker

Pros: I bought this and easily volt modded it to achieve 1.27volts under load, this allows me to hit core/shader/memory clocks of 738/1620/2884. You might realize that those clocks are higher then EVGA's For The Win Edition and for a cheaper price!

Handles Crysis with Rygels HiRes Textures in the 30-40 fps margin, FarCry 2 in the 50's (With 4xMSAA+16XAF), Fallout 3 in the 60's (with 4XMSAA+16XAF).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Using this card @ 1680x1050 with:

E6750 @ 3.6ghz
2gb Crucial Ballistix @ 1060mhz
ASUS P5NE-SLI

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: this card handles everything. I ordered 2 for sli but 1 was DOA. getting that replaced. the 1 card even is amazing. never have a problem with setting my games to maximum graphics.

Cons: its long, but that's why i bought a new case to fit it.

Other Thoughts: ive never had problem with MSI cards and they keep their track record with me with this video card. I run 2 monitors and the graphics never skip a beat.

5 out of 5 eggsSo much better then my 8500

Pros: WOW. I put this card inside of my old computer just to see if it would be better. my old motherboard is a P5B not a great motherboard it only has a 2.16 dual core and 3GB of DDR2 it played most games on medium to low. with this graphics card its plays Fall Out Three maxed out smooth as silk. this card is what modern games are made for.

Cons: This card is like any gaming card its huge. i had to disconnect my IDE DVD drive just to install it. the fan doesn't push as much air as i would like how ever it really doesn't get nearly as hot as my old 8500.

Other Thoughts: WOW New egg is good at shipping. i payed for the cheapest shipping and it came in four days. My only complain is that UPS just left it on the front step.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card

Pros: Easy install on my MSI Eclipse SLI motherboard. Everything is in an Antec 1200 case, so no problems with room. Easily overclocked using Riva Tuner--GPU clock=725 mhz; memory 1250 mhz; shader 1573 mhz. New driver from Nvidia seems to scale back the clock speed when there is little load on the GPU. At load, temps are averaging 60 degrees C, with fan speed set at 50%. At idle, temp drops to 38 C.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The included Call of Duty-World at War crapped out the video when running at 1920 and full anti-aliasing. Not a big issue for me since I don't play that game.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card, very long though

Pros: Good card, nice improvement from an 8800GTS 512. Much better framerate in Left 4 Dead. Very quiet even at full load after gaming for hours fan at 45%
Temps: 41c Idle, 75c full load.

Cons: Very long and covers up 4 of the SATA connectors on my ASUS P5K Premium mobo. Had to find some "270 degree" right angle SATA cables + normal 90 degree connector cables to recover all SATA ports.
Not the video cards' fault, connectors on that mobo are poorly placed in relation to the top PCI-E video card slot.
Another con for me is that it now has a rebate whereas a few days ago it didn't. The GTX 275 just came out with close to the same performance.

Other Thoughts: Search for "CB-SATD41-S1" on newegg to find the SATA cables with the 270degree right angle connectors. Look closely at the picture you will see they are key'd so that they plug in with the cable pointing the opposite direction of a normal right-angle connector. They should be advertised as such.

5 out of 5 eggsGotta love 285!

Pros: All I have to say is, wow! What a performance increase compare to my previous 7900gs go. After overcooking I could run Fallout 3 on max settings including 8x Antialiasing, GTA IV high settings (some mid). Supreme Commander ran on full blast. Crysis ehh, so-so. All of them with steady FPS.

Cons: only 1gb memory?

Other Thoughts: Overcloced: Core @ 760 mHz, Memory @1500mHz, Shader @1600mHz. Fan @ 100%, Temp: 60 C is the top.

I've never overclocked anything in my life, and this is my second GPU purchase since I got geForce 4 MMX in 2003.

My home PC:
Supermicro X7DA-L
Xeon E5420 @ 2.50GHz (Dual CPU)
RAM: 8gb
Hard drive: VelociRaptor 150gb
LCD: 1920 x 1200
and more unimportant staff...

For OC I used only NVIDIA software, driver: 182.08
+ stock cooler. yes it's loud :)
