msi 4890
- Pros: very very good performance for the price! crossfire ready! plays games pretty well.....
- Cons: doesnt come with ATI sticker for case:(
- Other Thoughts: i have it paired with an amd 955 stock clock and 4gb of mushkin RAM. This card will run games on very high settings but not realy at playable frame rates. Because of this...im buying another one this week for crossfire!
- Pros: $179.99 after rebate .Very fast.Low noise level. The ATI Overdrive will auto overclock it a good bit over stock, and is still very stable.
- Cons: None yet
- Other Thoughts: This replaced a Geforce 9800GTX+ 1GB, and running COD-WAW I get at least a 20 fps boost on most maps. The sound level is about the same as the Geforce 9800GTX+, which is very good for the performance level of this card.
Its a monster...truly
- Pros: Whats not to like, comes overclocked to 880 and 999mhz respectively. Thats already fast. Its cooler is quite good. Its not loud at all unless you set the fans speed higher intentionally and then what do you expect. It dosent run too hot with proper cooling. (means fan regulation if you really overclock it, otherwise it runs fine on auto). I have it clocked to 900 and 1000mhz respectively. On high/very high at 1600x900 it runs crysis at a constant 50 fps normal, give for take about 5 frames. It tops at 60fps and bottoms at about 32. With almost all settings at very high crysis runs at a max of 40 fps and a minimum of about 28. with and average of about 35. Thats really really good. It runs gta 4 with almost everything maxed and rez at 1600x900 with about 45-55 fps, which is excellent, mirrors edge, assasins creed, fallout 3, and dcs black shark all run maxed out without a problem. Its rather big but nothing insane. It is VERY overclockable too.
- Cons: Uhhhh......
Lemme get back to you on that one...or not
- Other Thoughts: This card easily equals and possibly surpasses the nvidia 275. (no Im not an nvidia hater, they make good cards, I might get one again some day (I simply hate how review sites suck up to nvidia). So whats not to like? Oh it has a monster on the cooler.
