5 out of 5 eggsA lot of card for the price!

Pros: For the price, you can't beat it! 1 VGA, 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, and if you use a specific HDMI-to-DVI adapter (not just any generic one), you'll get two HDMI...and both support audio!

Cons: A little deceiving, and yet, a little bit of failure to RTM on my part--no egg deduction, but worth mentioning anyway: even though there are three video output ports on this card, you can only use two!
Also, GREAT for HTPCs, put not so much for gaming at high resolutions.

Other Thoughts: In general, with ATI cards that support HDMI and has more than two video outputs:
1) a generic HDMI-to-DVI adapter with an ATI card will NOT support HDMI audio through the DVI port! You must use an ATI-specific adapter!
2) In order to use three monitors, the card MUST have a DisplayPort on it and said port MUST be used as one of the three monitors! This particular card meets none of these conditions, so no three-monitor setup with this alone!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price

Pros: Needed for high def files and worked GREAT in Windows 7. Using on 42" Sony Bravia and had choppy picture with high def content on 1080i screen. No fan no sound. Also worked with streaming to 42" TV

Cons: Does not seem to stretch all the way to the edge of the monitor screen. Seems to be shy about 1/4" on either side.

Other Thoughts: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little Video Card

Pros: Small enough to fit in a slim chassis. The extra low profile bracket. Easy to use.

Cons: ATI, it would not allow me to increase the video resolution over 1280X720 when my monitor was 1400 X 1050. I had to install the drivers twice from the website before it would allow me to force the correct resolution. ATI is the only one I have an issue with the video cards not working right. NIVIDA I never have an issue.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a big ATI fan I like their prices but I ALWAYS have to go in and change the settings in ATI where as almost all the NIVIDA video cards adjust themselves for the most part or at least identify the monitors correctly.

5 out of 5 eggsRight size, right time

Pros: Passive heat sink, HDMI, audio bitstreaming. Decent improvement over the ATI 3200 onboard video. Working great with small 300w power supply powering two SATA hard drives, BluRay drive, Athlon 64 x2 5600, one chassis fan and a half dozen USB powered peripherals.

Cons: The heatsink is a little taller than I had hoped for and protrudes into the next available slot on my motherboard a bit. Also began to exhibit display errors when the temperature got about 80c during stress test - full CPU load, full GPU load.

Other Thoughts: I have this installed in my low profile HTPC running Win7 x64. Prior to installation I had only the CPU fan and power supply fan to move air around in my very fully loaded case and it got pretty hot. I added a very low speed 80mm case fan and have not had any more problems with heat.

Had some audio handshake issues using the ATI Catalyst HDMI driver and switched to the one direct from Realtek with no more problems. Video drivers are from AMD's website, the MSI configured ones on the CD acted a little hinky. The MSI afterburner utility is convenient for checking the status of the card (temp, usage, etc.).

Videos play great at 1080p, HDCP is enabled, and all audio has been passed through to the receiver just fine. No comments on gaming performance as I do nothing more complicated than classic emulators on this PC.

If you're looking for no fan noise, everything going out one HDMI cable, and aren't particularly worried about 3d performance, then I would heartily recommend this car
