Enjoy a cool and quiet gaming experience and incredible performance boost with MSI’s N460GTX Hawk! The world's first graphic card with triple overvoltage function supporting core voltage, memory voltage and PLL voltage adjustments, the N460GTX Hawk also inherits the Hawk Series advantages, including military class components, 7+1 phase PWM design and Twin Frozr II dual-fan thermal design, delivering unrivaled performance in thermal solution, power supply, stability, noise reduction and performance.

Tailor made to hit the gamers’ sweet spot, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 delivers revolutionary levels of price/performance. With up to 4x the DirectX 11 tessellation performance of the competition, GeForce GTX 460 packs highly detailed visuals into your games - without sacrificing high frame rates. And with NVIDIA 3D Vision, PhysX, and CUDA technologies, GeForce GTX 460 powers all the incredibly realistic effects that your games can throw its way.

  • newegg Triple Over Voltage Function The MSI N460GTX Hawk is the world’s first graphics card supporting voltage adjustment of GPU, Memory and PLL, using MSI exclusive Afterburner (V2.0.0) overclocking software. This function enhances overclocking potential of the graphic card in all dimensions.
  • newegg Twin Frozr II Thermal Design Built with two 8cm fans, four heat-pipes with SuperPipe technology and a large-area nickel-plated copper base, the MSI-exclusive Twin Frozr II thermal design can efficiently dissipate heat produced from the GPU, as well as the memory and power module. When compared with the reference cooler, this thermal design effectively reduces the GPU temperature by 18? and noise level by 8.1dB for a cool and quiet computing environment.
  • newegg 7+1 Phase PWM Design When compared with 4+1 PWM design on the reference card which supplies power only up to 90A in graphic cards at the same level, the 7+1 PWM design of the N460GTX Hawk supplies power up to 120A for the GPU to enhance GPU stability and performance in overclocking session.
  • newegg Military Class Components In addition to all solid CAPs which enhance the overclocking and high loading performance of GPU, the N460GTX Hawk is equipped with the SFC (Super Ferrite Choke) to enhance power efficiency by 10% and output current by 30%. Also, the Hi-c CAP with a tantalum core can enhance GPU power supply to increase the graphic card's overall lifespan as well as the stability of GPU.
  • newegg APS (Active Phase Switching) Technology APS helps save power usage by controlling PWM automatically according to the GPU's workload.
  • newegg V-Check Points Apart from triple overvoltage function, V-Check Points allows you to measure voltage on the graphic card with just a multi-meter in order to capture various data in an overclocking session, thus making overclocking simpler.

1 out of 5 eggsTHIS CARD BLOWS!!!

Pros: I initially liked this card a lot. I ran my games at ultra graphics and had no problems with fps or heat. But after about a year...

Cons: Now about a year and a half later it just fried out. I was experiencing blue crash screens (my computer would randomly reboot) and random beeping from the card while playing my games. Then, I had white horizontal lines all over my screen.... and that is when it fried out.... all in all, I will never buy msi products again and I am very disappointed in my purchase..... STAY AWAU FROM MSI!!!

Other Thoughts: this card blows

2 out of 5 eggsBad fans

Pros: I initially liked this card and would have given it a 4 for value.

Cons: The fans are bad. I will not be buying any future MSI products. I paid good money for a card that was going to last me for my 3 years of game playing before replacement. I think the card should last more then 1 year and 5 months.

Other Thoughts: Not Buying MSI again.

2 out of 5 eggsgood while it lasted

Pros: When working it ran all of my games on the highest settings.

Cons: Bad fan motors. I bought one for myself and my wife. Both of ours had the fans go out on them. Going to go shopping for two more.

Other Thoughts: Probably not going to purchase another MSI graphics card from this issue.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Worked great while it lasted.
Looks cool

Cons: Became unstable after just a year and a half and had to be replaced.

Other Thoughts: This card randomly started giving me issues of crashing me during games. I tried dozens of things to fix the issue but in the end I found the card had just gone bad and I had to replace it. This is my first experience with an MSI product and quite frankly it will be my last. I replaced the card with a PNY 560 ti since my previous cards had been PNY and I never had one go bad on me before.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card, able to run 2 EVE accounts with steam running in the backround.

Cons: Since I have had the card, it resets from time to time with a "driver has stopped responding" response. Also about 10 months of use, i'm getting this fuzy shadow next to every icon, or window or box.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance per Dollar

Pros: These cards are very nice, the packaging is excellent, comes with some cool accessories, plug ins for voltage check points, mini hdmi to standard hdmi plug in. Paid 164 for my first and 145 for my second, solid deals.. I find the best overclock is to just use afterburner and up the core to 821 no voltage bump is needed. Stays nice and cool

Cons: The heatsinks and fans are nice but a tad flimsy i recommend handling the cards by the actual board...

Other Thoughts: These in SLI work great in crysis 2 @1080p everything is maxxed out to ultra (dx11 high res texs...) runs great avg 50fps with a i5 setup, works great with a i3 setup too but i would get a occasional random FPS drop every once in a while. For the new Max Payne i had no issue with the core i3 and the sli setup avg 70fps always.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CARD

Pros: I run 2 of these 460 in SLI, THEY ARE AMAZING.
- Great Graphics
- usage Indicator Light on the card
- NO lag while playing BF3 at MAX 1080p!
- Handled everything i threw at it!
These are great cards over all

Cons: There are not too many for my cards, But they do get hot, not the one that is outputting the video but the one that is running Phys X. it usually gets 50-70 Celsius. Not bad tho.

Other Thoughts: Great cards, Haven't tried only one alone yet But if you are planing on running 2, I DO recommend them

4 out of 5 eggsFirst newegg review.

Pros: Nice upgrade for the price compared to my 5750 I was using. Games play great after I worked through some stability issues with certain titles.

Cons: My only con has to do with the initial stability. Some games played fine while games like Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect were very unstable. A lot of times you'd get the dreaded "driver has stopped responding". After some searching I found that a few owners had echoed that the out of the box settings for the voltage is a tad low. My initial settings were:

Voltage: 975
Core Clock 810
Shader Clock 1620
Memory Clock 2004

Using MSI afterburner I upped the voltage to 1.012 from .975. For the heck of it decided to overlock a tad so now my settings are:

Core Voltage 1012
Core Clock 900
Shader Clock 1800
Memory Clock 2100

My stability problems have vanished after doing the above and i'm enjoying Battlefield 3 once more.

Other Thoughts: My only real complaint is that it took a lot of searching to find this information. I really didnt want to have to send the card back to them if I didnt need to. Unfortunately for those with less knowledge they would have tried it out of the box and maybe returned it and picked a card from another company. All in all it's a great card and I hope this comment helps some people.

2 out of 5 eggsFreezing problems

Pros: None

Cons: I got this card to play Skyrim and it freezes up all the time. I thought maybe its just the game, but no. It does it with any game after awhile. Do not buy. Also the rebate for MSI is terrible. I eventually got it, but I had to resubmit my stuff twice. I didn't have anything missing either time.
